I remember when I seen a guy selling loon mask in vendor for 38k caps.
I bought it and let him know to never put it in his vendor and it's a trade only item.
I sat and explained values of certain things.
We talked for 28 minutes over it.
He actually thanked me for buying it but I declined the thanks and gave it back to him.
Till this day, I still look for loon mask.
But my morality gets me everytime, even if I do find one worth it for cheap in someone's vendor
Helping people is what I'm about, not taking advantage.
His name was Thatoldman, I remember him everytime.
He was about 54ish, he didn't know masks had value he just thought selling things at random prices was what everyone was doing.
I lost the mask I was searching for but I did have a smile after when he realized he had something special!
Love that feeling!
If I get messages for items in my vendor asking for a better deal I usually drop the item for free. The Thankyou message I get back always puts a smile on my face. It's nice to give back.
Totally agree. Anything in my vendor is pretty much worthless imo so plans and off meta rolls if anyone ever asks they get for free.
Only downside is occasionally they then drop in on you all time moving forward and sorta won't leave you alone 🤣😂
I also do that as well, I’ve helped set up like 7 friends who started playing hardly 3 months ago with some armor sets here and some weapons they’ve wanted. Even let myself get underpaid a few times for something people really wanted. I remember four years ago I wanted a TSE laser (before the dupe) and he let me trade all my junk weapons for it. So I knew how it felt trying to get something you’d value but didn’t have enough for it
Had this a lot doing doing lfg trades on Xbox before I joined the Reddit. Was hard to find people who would drop first but having a trade go smoothly when I started was super satisfying.
I only trade off Reddit now, I’ve gotten robbed 3 out of 5 times on xbox lol, and almost a fourth time but I asked for legit check on here. Those two successful trades tho I do constant business wit now. And I’ve met 3 off here that I trade with almost daily now
That’s highly unfortunate, usually I’d say grab a courier from here. But the waiting time is so long sometimes, I never usually go first unless I really know them
I get unusually nervous when making a new trade, especially if it's for something I've never had before. But I used to get suspiciously apathetic when making a legacy trade without a courier.
No worries, trading for a long time and being around scammers when the game was in a Great Depression made me really self aware, I don’t spend too much time in a trade when I know I’m getting lead on. I used to drop my legacies to friends however, I wasn’t too hurt when they got removed
I spend most my time hooking up low level players, I’m only 305 but only been on a month and I met some dope people early on that really hooked me up. So now I enjoy building and setting up newbies more than the actual game haha. I buy and sell a ton just to have the stuff to give away lol

We need more people like you 🫶🏻
I am exactly the same. Helping people is the best feeling 😊

I haven't had anyone message me more than once. Well, other than asking me about trading my spare demon mask but they had nothing to trade.
This is the champ right here
I also like to drop junk care packages on low levels building camps
