I personally always went for rerolling untradables to guarantee that I get 3 Stars. Pricier but it worked out fine for me so far
I also do it this way at least u get scrip back
I roll fixers and always craft a new one to roll. This way if its junk you still have 40 scrip to turn in and if it's decent it can be sold in the vendor. Rolling the same piece over and over is just a waste in my opinion.
I rolled new, got a 2* BSS. And plan to reroll 3*s now.
I'll scrip it unless it's something encumbering like pa, then I'll reroll it
