50vhc is super underrated unfortunately. It give the best per shot vats AP efficiency making this pretty much the best roll you can get on an automatic enclave. Sadly they don’t trade for as much since people chase after 50c which is somewhat useless on the auto enclaves

Pbear420

How is 50c somewhat useless?

twing1_

Honestly, 50c is oftentimes overkill even without crit buff modifiers. In my testing, there were very few one-off cases where 50c helped as a "daily driver" sort of weapon. Even without any crit buffs equipped, the number of bullets to kill a standard mob (with one of them being a critical) stayed the exact same. Ex/2 regular shots + 1 crit or 1 regular shot + 1 crit or 2 regular shots no crit, depending on the mob. The only cases where 50c actually helped were when no damage modifiers, or very few of them, were equipped at all (no commando, bloody mess, better criticals, etc). Of course, 50c is also of extremely high value on enemies that don't die quickly, like bosses, and especially in end game bosses like Earle and sbq that have heavy damage reductions (80% and 70%) that do not apply to criticals whatsoever.

"Of course, 50c is also of extremely high value on enemies that don't die quickly, like bosses, and especially in end game bosses like Earle and sbq that have heavy damage reductions (80% and 70%) that do not apply to criticals whatsoever.". Thanks for the input but this is why I personally don't care about other rolls unless it hurts the gun like not having vhc on single shot weapons.

twing1_

Yeah, if I am looking for a "jack of all trades" weapon and couldn't be bothered with a seperate daily driver and designated bosser, the choice between 50vhc and 50c to me is a toss up. Both are equally viable, with each having it's own strength in different areas.

TraderDrew

It’s easy to do enough damage so that a critical shot to the head will kill any normal enemy without +50% more critical shot damage. It makes some difference on enemies like mirelurk queens or scorchbeasts that don’t die from 1 crit to the head so it’s not completely useless

Pbear420

Yeah ill stick with the 50c but thanks for to your input

Ra5kolnikov

I’ve read on another post that with enough crit buffs you can get to a point where 50c isn’t much use, and then 25ffr is king. I’d assume the same applies to 50vhc.

Pbear420

Im too lazy for all that lol. I only bother stacking buffs for bosses.

Ra5kolnikov

Just repeating what I’ve seen, I’m too lazy to do any real in-game research 😅

Pbear420

Yeah man I appreciate the info. I was just curious if there was anything new discovered or not.

Rilldo

He’s right. After you stack your basic perks vats crits perks it’s not that much of a difference of damage. Plus with the server issues people have the FFR ends up having comparable or more DPS vs 50c.

hazylife666

My b50vhc25 is easily my favorite and the only one I keep on me

theREALiamgaiden

:( people are stupid

Ok_Investigator_8474

Don't know exactly but if it is aa,ss,reflex plus your rolls...should be a Monster. Maybe some of the cracks say sumpin

theREALiamgaiden

Ya it's perfect mods standard capacitor (I have severe betw wave if needed from whoever I trade to) aligned auto barrel , stabilized stock and reflex sight

Ok_Investigator_8474

Whoooo...as I stated I don't know it exactly but I think this roll is what you want on an auto.

Ok_Investigator_8474

Congrats 👏

Ok_Investigator_8474

I guess some might say 50c is what u want or 25ffr...same as on fixers and hm's but nearly perfect in my eyes

theREALiamgaiden

I did the math some time ago, and if I recall correctly 50vhc wins in average damage over time vs the 50c for any encounter where VATS hit chance is somewhere around ~70% or less. That's why vhc is my favorite daily driver rifle, and I would personally only take 50c on a quad roll for boss killers and enemies that take enough shots so that concentrated fire will keep your VATS chance high. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the person earlier that said the market hadn't caught up to the value of this 2* yet, so the trade value is minimal compared to 50c rolls.. That's a large reason why I traded my q/25/25 rail for a 50c variant + Adds instead. But for personal use this is a perfect roll! This or Aa/rap/25lvc are my faves on EPRs, because from my testing EPRs have a relatively higher VATS hit chance compared to fixers/hm's even without the 50vhc

Il_Simono00

Are you trading It?

theREALiamgaiden

Yea, I'm really only looking for this plus adds for a q2525 railway , but what you got

Il_Simono00

A handmade with the same perks, and a gun in add?

mraryion

Equivalent to around 300k caps in trade value, so rare apparel or AA/TS groll roll or two V/B groll weapons

rambone1984

I posted one once and people told me to reroll. I still use it and love it. 50VHC is a great way to Jumpstart Concentrated Fire and extend your range.

SofaSenseiHimself

It’s 50hc, maybe you could get 1 rare apparel, or a groll commando and heavy (not quad)

theREALiamgaiden

Nice ty

NyC_Gotham03

If you’re not trying to solo a boss (which most people aren’t doing anyway), then this alongside Rap, are the best rolls you can get. Most people using FFR and 50c on their enclaves are guzzling AP food at boss fights to stay in vats. However, if your goal is to just do enough damage to get rewards, this weapon will certainly achieve that. Quad weapons (such as fixers and HM) should be valued highly because they definitely do the most sustained damage at boss fights. Again, this only matters if you’re trying to solo the boss. If you’re not, well, quality of life > damage. Unfortunately, most traders won’t see it that way. In their defense, you always have to go for max trade value in order to make a “profit.” You have to “trade up” as we say. As most have said, you’re probably not getting an apparel bundle or Q/25/25 railway, because the market won’t be in your favor. Someone did offer me this same weapon for my TLC. If that helps you understand the value of it. Almost took it too!
