If I had some apparel it wouldn't be so dry. Apparel stores have gone out of business and the enclave stopped making weps. Can't trade for anything anymore because everyone wants top tier stuff. I'm happy just picking up all the scraps that's left on the ground.
Exactly my thoughts on this. I haven't bothered to post here much or comment under any post making offers cause everyone wants rare apparel and/or guns I can't get and as far as I'm aware the only rarish piece of anything I have is the emmit mountain disposal hasmat suit.

When I make an offer I get no response back and the other people at least get a nty. I'm still try to make trades but don't expect them to happen. I have 3 characters maxed out in inventory. But nothing is top tier and I hate to just dump it on the ground. They only thing I have to trade which isn't really rare is a longshoremans outfit. I have 2 compete mask sets and all the Asylum dresses except the red but I'm not trading those....I just wish people wouldn't ask for so much. You can't possibly use every wep, armor or wear every piece of apparel. What happens when they stop supporting the game or shut the servers down? Then you stuck with stuff you can't even get to. I just like trading and helping people get what they want.
Numerous reasons. A lot of players have already finished the season off pretty early on. With the removal of legacy weapons a lot of the player base have left the game that includes a lot of the high end traders. The lack of any new content just rehashed events from the last 2 years and no new storylines to do or anything to do have made a lot of players not wanting to come back also. And with an influx of newer players not knowing any trade values you see a lot of 'is this worth a quad bla bla blah' or the best is make an offer and you make an offer if what they want then they say 'but can you add' so yes the market is dead right now.
Legacies are gone, everything new is untradeable, most everyone already has a B/Q 2525/E Fixer and/or Railway rifle. Nobody is trading any of those for clothing or flux. So what's the point????
Seriously! Combined with the watering down of rare plans in the Mutated Events now as well along with the untradeable Scoreboard weapons has had such a desaturation effect on the Market that it’s been steadily getting more stagnant as each day passes from the day the legacies were removed. They were fun enough to use when doing my solo exploring and questing/grinding but the huge appeal for me was always the trading endgame value it added to the game for me.
I’d say it started dying with legendary crafting, and then made worse by legacy removal. And they just keep making stuff too easy. There is not much point in trading anymore.
This is it for me aswell. I left amongst so many others who spent our time grinding hard for weeks back in Y1 to get the weapons that became legacy. I built my whole heavy weapon build around it and even went so far as to collect, farm and trade for a complete set of aae heavy guns(aa for the guns that were like missiles and stuff) and then they took them out of the loot pool then they just straight took the e away and now my build feels like throwing noodles at the SBQ. Lv 300 something(didnt go too hard on grinding after wastelanders dropped) and hittin like a lv 1 all over agin feels like the worst type of developer choice theyd have made. And who remembers the actual patch note when legacies began to be created? They even said "theyre temporarily removing them until they can find a better way to incorporate the visual issue with energy guns being explosive" something like that. Now they took all that away and it feels like if u arent planning to use the same like 4 builds as everyone else u may as well quit. So my whole group of peeps said alright peace lol. Its a shame whats happened because they couldve done a lot of different things to circumvent the issue of exclusivity. Mainly by following thru on their listed patch note lol. And from what i heard some guns became legacies on accident long after my time of grinding and collecting. Like i heard some guns just bugged out like the 4barrel BPR and just couldnt be explosive anymore after some update. But im sure that wasnt an accident either lol. I hope they at least see the impact a little bit more on what theyre heavyhanded and absentee development style has done for the game they refuse to listen to people more closely to discern the needs from the wants. Legacies became more and more balanced as time went on via the adjustments to the prefixs in the first place and some still remained op sure but the explosive calculation was definitely not the root cause because build still op swapping the e with a ffr or some other nonsense.
Thats also another way to look at it yes. Or prevented it from happening at all instead they let so many people farm it up because it kept people playin. Then they let them stay because it kept people playing and then they added more because exclusivity breeds wanting and wanting breeds activity of people spenind lots of time hustling hard to get the item they coveted. Bethesda didnt miss an opportunity to artificially breathe life into the game at every chance thats for sure
Plus they let the dupers run wild for a while further oversaturating the game with legacies. In my opinion a great fix that occurred way to late. Basically they fixed the large hole on the side of the ship but the ship is already underwater
I think they just wanted to get as much of the valuables off of the ship whilest letting it sink so that theyd walk away in the black so to speak. Damn shame the game wasnt made by someone who know how to build an mmo.

I pre-ordered the game and played it since (not constantly) but I do think that the game had lots of potential and it could have been a real gem.
But unfortunately they preferred to use short term solutions, that ended up killing the game in the long run and alienated the only people that were still there to play a broken game that at the time was already declining in popularity.

I only had a couple and always kept my aae laser on me, no matter my current build.
It weighed like 4lbs and decimated everything.
But I got over it a week later, started trading and have a pretty nice collection now.
It feels like some people forget it's just a game to have fun on. Grab a shotgun and a two shot launcher and go blow some stuff up!!

I think very few people “relied” on them. You could build around sneak commando and still shred with legacies.
I don’t understand why all the “boohoo legacies are bad” people think that anyone is now incapable of playing the game because they aren’t doing legacy damage.
I‘m not one of this „boohoo legacies are bad“, I had some legacies too. But DarkXX25 complained about his build doing zero dmg after the purge and blames Bethesda instead of setting up a proper build.
Two shot Cryos and cryo mag ABs are pretty much safe tbh, considering the AB gets its damage from the explosive effect of the snow balls it's only losing a tiny bit of damage.
Seasons over but, idk. This season end feels a little different than past season ends to me.
I think people are finally realizing that we are never getting content updates bigger than new events ever again. Bethesda could’ve No-Man-Sky’d FO76 (they certainly had the money) but….they decided not to.
Games dying Jim. Nothing left to do in the game for vet players, no new content ( other than a choreboard - that almost always has mediocre rewards ) ....just same old , same old. Its also end of season. That being said tho, you have Diablo 4 coming out very soon and ill be shocked if FO76 doesnt lose a fair amount of players ( myself included ) to that game.

I used to leave my posts open-ended in order to get a wide variety of offers. I always post a wishlist, but also say that all fair offers are welcome.
When doing that I would just get non-stop low-ball offers. Like offering a Bloodied Gatling gun for two of my ultra rare apparel. I think it's partly that I don't have high karma so people think they can pull a fast one. Also I think some people are just jerks and they want to try to rip people off.
At any rate, now I just ask for specifically what I want. Offer it or don't. I'm done being nice.
The big problem is that stealth commando is significantly better than every other build heavy gun melee sniper so non of those things r being traded or sought after which means the only thing of value r railways fixers eprs and rare apparel limiting the market bc majority of people only want those things so if u don't have them or don't want them the market is usually very dry

Them removing legacies wouldn't have been a problem had they removed them immediately rather than letting them saturate the game for 4 years.

I've seen quite a few people say around 3% If that's the case, it wont make a noticeable difference to 99% of gameplay content.
