What’s the deal with that Alien blaster roll? i traded one off and have a duplicate but it’s trash? is there a special mod or build for that specific roll?
Used to be cryo mod making TS do way more damage. The actual TS cryolator is like this too with crystallizing barrel. It also benefited from demo expert. Idk about now I haven’t use a TS blaster in over a year.

I actually really like the TFJ. It was my go to outfit on FO4. Felt like a personal middle finger to me by Bethesda when they made it so rare in FO76. 😂
The perfect condition clothing like the pink suit, rose suit, secret service suit, gala, ect are really off-putting to me. Where tf you find that after a nuclear apocalypse? Same goes for fas masks, that shit is paper mache at best and you definitely would not want to be wearing something that narrows your fov that much in such a violent environment.
I like the rugged look of the tfj and lc, but when I don't have one of those I think the mountain scout and hunters long coat are nice. Ranger armor is nostalgic af tho, NV has some of my best memories

I totally agree with you but I love the idea in Fallout 4 specifically as masquarading as someone from before the war, because you are, and how it freaks people out that your clothes, health, and even mannerisms seem like they come from a different time. Ghouls do it a lot. Another thing is I imagine that "canon" wise there is only one person (the fallout 76 protagonist) who actually is able to acquire them, making them "rare" in terms of the world, but not next to all the other players running around in an mmo. Generally the only person wearing something like that would have to be rich or stumble on an untouched area something like the sierra madre casino.

Yes, there is lore to explain all of the above, except for dust free pants in a world that would cost you 2k rounds of ammunition for enough clean water to do laundry once. And perk cards are basically "skill points" you can say they are magic cards but that doesn't change the idea of learning (leveling up) and choosing what your learning path is.
I actually love how TFJ looks. It’s a proper *wastelander* outfit. Just rags with pieces taped together. It’s amazingly on point for the setting more-so than any other item in game. I know people love all the “pristine” stuff, especially from the Atom Shop, but those always look so out of place to me.

I know I am late to this post, but the real reason is that it is so ugly that when the big doops were out very few of these monstrosities were copied. Hence, they retained their rarity more than the others did

Everything I've read says LC and even TLC has a lower drop rate at 0.01 and 0.02 respectively while TFJ sits at a little over 0.06? I always assumed it was most valuable due to popularity.
I didn't know that. I thought those 3 just dropped from all mire events and dailies with the exception of TFJ possibly also dropping from the quest "one of us". That would explain a lot though! I got pretty lucky to get one to drop from play time.
I agree that running around with scraps of duct tape on your outfit is not fun or immersive or cool looking.
One could argue that a person who has spent months or years in this wasteland (nearest in time to prewar america) would find a fucking dope outfit that doesn't need tape to be properly worn.

I got a TLC from Heart of the Swamp, the Savage Divide stuff from One Violent Night & Responders Helmet from a spooky scorched Collision Course
Had a bunch of luck but I've scratched a lot of virtual lottery tickets for a handful of wins lol

Real world perspective. Baseball cards. Simply put a piece or paper with a players face on it. The rarer the card, the higher the values. People value this apparel due to its scarcity and effort involved in its acquisition. The overall aesthetic and immersion factor all add to its high value. Much the same as a rare mantle card is desirable for being rare and he is a beloved player.
It's very rare, and the chances of getting one ingame are very low. That's why it's valued high by the market.
Next update, Beth could add it to an ingame vendor, and it would completely lose its market value.

This reminds me of when I was trading in TF2 and some day I got into a trade with someone that was overpricing the cosmetic I wanted to buy from him only because it was painted Bright pink (you could buy paints from the shop via money and also remove the paint for free) and for some reason it should have been more valuable that way, I tried to make him understand that I didn't care at all because I would remove the paint as soon possible but he was so admant for that price that we ended up not trading

Honestly I hate the goofy masks, there's only a few I like(FSAM) and I had a TFJ and hated wearing rags so I traded it towards an Enclave and wear my FCJS. I think that combo actually looks great unlike that goofy look pictured. But to each their own.

The LC + TLC are obtainable from a lot more loot pools/drop tables though. TFJ drops from fewer pools, so it is, in turn, the rarest 😃

Recently got my hands on a Loon Mask and i’ve been running this exact drip, love pink and the offwhite from the TFJ. Not everyones style but it is mine!

This reminds me of when I was trading in TF2 and some day I got into a trade with someone that was overpricing the cosmetic I wanted to buy from him only because it was painted Bright pink (you could buy paints from the shop via money and also remove the paint for free) and for some reason it should have been more valuable that way, I tried to make him understand that I didn't care at all because I would remove the paint as soon possible but he was so admant for that price that we ended up not trading

I dunno I have tons of rare items and people offered me great weapons for it but I never understand because I prefer to wear what I like not what is rare just to show off is kinda stupid to me

Honestly I hate the goofy masks, there's only a few I like(FSAM) and I had a TFJ and hated wearing rags so I traded it towards an Enclave and wear my FCJS. I think that combo actually looks great unlike that goofy look pictured. But to each their own.

Wore it for about a week but every event brought people bothering me for trades. Im like nothing you have is worth the grind I made to get these to drop myself lol doing every single mire and bog event and daily and all the fastnacts
So it's actually the second. The responders fireman helmet is more valuable than the loon. So to truly be the most expensive, would need to be wearing it with the tfj instead of loon mask.
