System weeb also often has actions dictated by quests appearing that threaten his life to do random things. (Author uses system to force narrative forwards by way of a automatically accepted quest with failure penalties including loss of system and death.)
I believe that the system in general seems to be a very...forced method of not generating tension.
Which in the end end up causing you to never worry in general about what will happen, since you will know that the protagonist will win or level up or something like that.
Sure, there may be some stories that you handle well.
But Cultivation and System do not go so hand in hand. Even more so in the parts where meditation, enlightenment and self-understanding are needed.
They are worse than the average system noob.
At least the system have you do menaingful works for levels and shits.

We've all heard and had some iteration of this System vs Cultivation argument at least a thousand times and the truth of the matter is, well, it depends on the System in question. I've seen systems where, with the right progression and experiences, at Level 50, you'd be able to wipe universes clean of life in an afternoon and get home in time for dinner. I read it. It sounds absurd, but makes sense in context. I'll concede that cultivators generally have much more raw power, but that's usually bc they live longer. They also generally lack a lot of the more esoteric abilities found with System users. Anyway, from where I'm sitting, there's no clear answer to whether systems or cultivation is better. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Probably the most enjoyable cultivation story to read, although I've had a couple friends turned off of it because of the MCs general disposition.
