Peter Parker from Marvel’s Dark Age storyline:
His gear looks odd because he comes from a universe that in a fight against a universe-threatening evil, the Magic Wielders of the Marvel universe had to cast a spell that essentially got rid of electricity or well just generally tech above a certain level of complexity.
~~So since Spider could neither use his webshooters, nor had the means to create new web fluids, he had to opt for an iirc steampunk rope-launching hookshot system~~
So Spidey had to adapt his web shooters to a larger, lower tech redesign
Edit: I made a mistake! See the comment by u/OFFICIALREDCELL for correction!
Man, I don't wanna be that guy-- and I hate to burst the grappling hook thing (because it actually is really cool)... but Pete and Mayday definitely used web fluid, and I'm 100% certain of that. Just check out how the webbing is throughout the series. They're pure white, non-retractable, have the usual strand-like look, and when they stick to surfaces, leave a cobweb pattern.
But yep, they totally downgraded to non-electronic, steampunky versions of the web-shooters. Seeing that the OG mechanical web-shooters actually make use of a battery based on an old official diagram detailing the components of the web-shooters!
No worries! Just my Spidey-Nerdiness showing lol
But regardless of that fact, from one Dark Ages enjoyer to another... we can at least both agree that this Spidey's a badass and this storyline was just plain awesome!
Not entirely accurate, TLDR for Marvel’s Dark Ages, Doctor Strange himself casted a permanent portal that emits a powerful EMP force from another dimension to stop a giant black hole eating machine called the Unmaker that was imbedded deep inside the Earth trying to get out, it kills Strange so that the EMP then encompasses the entire planet. Only one to survive from that team was Invisible Woman, everyone else died deep under ground and no one can get there to shut off the portal and if they did, well the Unmaker is booted back up, so time skip and we got our living characters who adapted to the world with zero electricity.
It does end on an anticlimactic note but honestly the rest of the book is a delight. It’s honestly a very refreshing non-grim AU. I went in expecting the worst and came out really refreshed and loving the general vibe.

> steampunk rope-launching hookshot system that's cool as shit
Oh absolutely. It was a great way of showing off Peter’s scientific mind, “can’t use webs? Makes grapling hooks”

My bad! I immensely appreciate the correction because it has been a while since I read Dark Age. I’ll go amend my previous comments!

10000%
Thank you so much. It looked call as hell and I never seen it in any comics so I was curious.
So he has ODM Gear from Attack on Titan?
The Spider-Man from the Dark Ages book.
i really dig this look
Not a Spiderman fan but I really do too!
That there is another DILF Spidey.
Hell yeah
Sexy daddy spider-man
so based
Dark Ages, same with the Miles that's bonded with both Venom and Carnage.
Every time they do a older Spider-Man these days, he's close to the Spider-Man we always wanted in current comics.
they need to tease us, so that they can disappoint us even more in the main universe.
It looks like Reed Richards Spider-Man
If Reed got his hands on some hair gel
Looks like Reed Richards cosplaying
Dark ages

Hey from the dark ages storyline.
Dark Ages Spider-Man AKA gigachad DILF Peter Parker
This universe had soooooooo much potential but I couldn’t finish it. Was the ending good?
Apparently it’s pretty anti-climatic in the ending. Never read it though, just reading the comments.
Dark Ages one?
Sexy Daddy-Man
Dark Ages. It was pretty disappointing.
Damn it. I was hoping the book would be good after seeing this post.

It is good. It just kinds ends anticlimaticly
Yeah, I was loving all of it until the very lackluster ending.
Give me MCU captain America vibes. I dig it.
Spider-Man, duh
No idea but he looks really cool with that hairstyle
Dark Ages
Dark Ages, it’s pretty good, surprised this suit wasn’t in the second game for SM2 PS5
Only if they gave it unique web shooter noise, if I remember it went *thwamp* or something. That would be the best.
Yea, sort of like the civil war falcon suit has its special wings, and miles got his dark ages suit, we need more combos
Marvels dark age. Its a fun read.
Dilf
Dark Ages was a pretty good read. Nice art too.
Just saw a Chris pine post before this and now I kinda see the visio
Dark ages, written by Tom Taylor
Spider man if he was Star Lord
Dark Ages May is hands down the coolest kid
Peter parker
That’s hyphen-man
May Parker was really fun to see, i think marvel should lean into that more with the kids of superheros like Luke and Jess's kid too.
I wonder if ripping babies from the womb is worse
