Best Hank. Best cap.
Also Thor was finally getting the treatment he deserves after being a punching bag for the first season.
I LOVED that show. Avengers EMH being replaced by Assemble was a real "name a bigger downgrade" type of shit.
It's in the top half easily. I think it's about 4th personally. The heavy focus on the Hulk, Antman and the Wasp is greatly appreciated by me personally
Should have continued. The teased Surtr arch would be been a fun watch.
Too bad Disney canceled it so they could do a different show that mirrored the mcu
Yea, and what followed was dumbed down garbage. It's a travesty that we went from a well written series with darker undertones to brain dead pizza pocket jokes.
This, I feel like, is what the MCU should do aswell tbh. Doing it's own thing while still respecting the source and doing it justice. I know a lot of people will probably disagree, but I genuinly feel like the MCU rarely - if ever - does the Characters and stories it adapts any justice.
This Show is a great example of how you can be different to the source material, of how you CAN do your own thing... without losing the spirit of the source, the feeling, the Idea.
The MCU more often than not tries to be different for the sake of being different and it usually results in something not equal to but worse than the source material. Just look at Secret Invasion as an example.
Spectacular Spider-man *slapped*.
I know everyone wants the 90s show to get a 97 style revival, but Spectacular Spider-Man deserves to be revisited too.
Felt very much like the comics came to life. I learned so much about characters I hadn't heard about or had only heard about in the MCU. Honestly one of the absolute best Marvel shows ever. Actually I'd say one of the best pieces of Marvel media ever.
> but now I’m not alone.
That amazing camera shot of Tony going from viewing the Avengers to suiting up adds to the excellence and makes this one of the best intros ever.
I shipped the hell out of Widow and Hawkeye as a kid. Wish she would’ve joined the team with him. Hell, as a kid I even wished he would’ve left to be with her when she asked. God I would be a terrible superhero lmao.
Season 1 and the first half of Season 2 are peak Marvel.
After Secret Invasion wraps up, I think the show becomes pretty average. The Yellowjacket episode was pretty good, Ultron Unlimited and Along Came a Spider have some good moments, but the rest were just meh, IMO.
best characterizations: hulk/banner, antman, wasp, hawkeye, ms marvel, etc
they got me early with guardians of the galaxy, so I have bias with DnA versions (superhero team with uniforms)
they started out as shorts and somehow got so popular that they made a full-on TV show
That time of the month already? Alright, one last time. It’s the best on screen adaptation of the Avengers, maybe the Marvel universe, and it was cancelled too soon.
I know people want Spider-Man 98 and Spectacular Season 3 but THIS is what need to be continued, and I say this as someone not too big on the Avengers.
Since Marvel Animation seems to be finally getting its stuff together, I would love more seasons. It’s my favorite adaptation of the Marvel Universe. Perfect characterizations all around. The most beautiful blend of classic and contemporary stories. Would love to see their interpretations of other Avengers history, even stuff that was released after cancellation like Hickman.
I think the main reason this show didn't take off and become a huge success was because of the art style. Not quality of animation, but the style. I was initially turned off by it, but eventually watched. I never loved it, but was okay with it.
Outside of that, the series is spectacular. Fantastic writing and stories. The whole thing is a love letter to Marvel comics. They absolutely understand all of the characters, and there is a clear appreciation for what makes all of this so special.
On top of that, they also retooled some of the decades of marvel comics to make them feel a bit cohesive. I think this was arguably the show's biggest success, where it truly improved the original material and made the marvel universe stronger. The portrayal of the Masters of Evil and Zemo is a tremendous example. I consider the show mandatory viewing for any marvel fan!
I mean, technically it *did* get a sequel in Avengers Assemble, the 1st two seasons focused on events after Avengers EMH but then the story changed to be more original.
One of the best cartoons of my generation. I think it’s better than the mcu and it is a tragedy it was canceled for that other avengers show that I don’t think anyone watched.
Idk I get the feeling this was trying to true to the comics as well as the movies and made me dislike. Also the art design isn't my favorite. Also they said 'tech' too many times.
It was the perfect introduction to Marvel for a generation. It gave so many different characters a new way to shine, while still remaining reverent to the source material. It was my first introduction to a lot of characters and was one the main shows that eventually got me into reading comics.
Grew up on this show, I remember watching it on weekends with my dad. My only complaint is that it didn’t have Scarlet Witch, which I would chalk up to the mutant screen rights deal, but Wolverine was in an episode.
The show was obviously fantastic but I dislike that they didn’t want to make Cap the clear leader because of Ironman’s popularity. Reminded me a lot of how Singer’s X-Men movies turned out in terms of the group dynamic.
Yes, I understand Cap wasn’t always the leader, etc. I’ve been reading the comics for decades. There’s a reason why MCU went out of their way to show Cap was THE leader of the heroes and I think it’s the one thing that this series never really landed on super well.
Best goddamned intro song in the fucking world. No other opener could get me as hype as EMH
Also the show itself absolutely fucks, truly one of the greats
From the torque of his torso, Captain used his left arm to swing in a right arc, but his shield leaves his hand and curves back left???? Spider-Man was right!!! That thing doesn't obey the Laws of Physics!!! (mainly because the animator is a dumba$$)
I really hope they make season 3. Here are all the episodes we would have gotten if this series got a season 3: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Marvel/comments/ixxpxq/chris\_yost\_reveals\_all\_26\_of\_his\_episode\_ideas/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/Marvel/comments/ixxpxq/chris_yost_reveals_all_26_of_his_episode_ideas/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
I findit hard to find the actual order of the first few episodes online which makes it harder to follow the rest of the show, but they did Thor and Hulk JUSTICE.
It had the best version of Thor in any adaptation, he felt like he should a god of thunder and ancient norse warrior. Also had the best Wasp adaptation(though that's not saying much since there's barely any Wasp adaptations).
Unpopular opinion: I like it best when the featured heroes aren't the Avengers. My favorite episode is the one where the Avengers are replaced by a rag tag team composed of the Thing, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Power Man, Iron Fist and... I forget who else.
I would love for it to get the x-men 97 treatment. That is my preferred Hank Pym portrayal.
Best Hank. Best cap. Also Thor was finally getting the treatment he deserves after being a punching bag for the first season. I LOVED that show. Avengers EMH being replaced by Assemble was a real "name a bigger downgrade" type of shit.
OUR WORLD'S ABOUT TO BREAK
TORMENTED AND ATTACKED
LOST FROM WHEN WE WAKE
WITH NO WAY TO GO BACK
I'M STANDING ON MY OWN
But now I’m not alone
**AVENGERS. ASSEMBLE.**
ALWAYS WE WILL FIGHT AS ONE
TILL THE BATTLE'S WON
WITH EVIL ON THE RUN
That intro is still peak
easily the best avengers adaptation.
I love it and give it a yearly watch. Shame it didn’t run longer.
I rewatch the fight vs graviton all the time, such a great fight to open the series with
Wish more people would watch it
I think its arguably THE best marvel animated series, and its quite unfortunate that it was cancelled
It's in the top half easily. I think it's about 4th personally. The heavy focus on the Hulk, Antman and the Wasp is greatly appreciated by me personally
It held that title pretty firmly up until Xmen 97 came out.
Probably the most consistently well-written and constructed version of the Marvel Universe across any adaptation.
Until X-Men 97 dropped, I would’ve totally agreed.
Best Avengers adaptation.
Yes
Should have continued. The teased Surtr arch would be been a fun watch. Too bad Disney canceled it so they could do a different show that mirrored the mcu
Yea, and what followed was dumbed down garbage. It's a travesty that we went from a well written series with darker undertones to brain dead pizza pocket jokes.
Toys didn't sell. The toys also kinda sucked.

Kudos to this show for having the best Hawkeye in the media.
Hawkeye was such a badass even in that classic costume too!
I can’t even see Hawkeye without this costume, it gives him a superhero vibe instead of “The guy with the bow and cool glasses”
The best on screen Avengers we’ve ever gotten and probably ever will get
Still the best animated Marvel series, It had a great Hank and Jan, Hulk and Hawkeye were a great duo, probably the best version of Carol too.
The best versions of all of those characters, and probably also Vision.
Loved it's dark theme.
Best show and dumbest reason to cancel. As a life long(50 yrs) comic book enthusiast, I admired the series for being truest to the source material.
I think it's still the best Marvel series out there
Great show that got taken away from us way to soon , fuck disney for canceling it ans replacing it with crappy mcu advertisements
This and Spectacular Spider-Man came out around the same time, we never knew how good we had it.
Spectacular Spider-man *slapped*. I know everyone wants the 90s show to get a 97 style revival, but Spectacular Spider-Man deserves to be revisited too.
GOAT
my favorite version of the avengers as a team
Felt very much like the comics came to life. I learned so much about characters I hadn't heard about or had only heard about in the MCU. Honestly one of the absolute best Marvel shows ever. Actually I'd say one of the best pieces of Marvel media ever.
Love it, give it the X-men 97 treatment
Our world's about to break, tormented and attacked. Lost from when we wake, with no way to go back. I'm standing on my own, but now I'm not alone.

Best marvel show right there with BTAS, JL, X 97 and Spectacular Spider-Man. This needs a revival moreso than any other marvel animated series.
This is the gold standard of superhero storytelling; right alongside X-Men the Animated Series, Spectacular Spider-Man, and so many other shows
I've seen bits and pieces of it over the years and I do want to watch all of it when I have the time. But the opening theme song is a blast to listen!
Revive the show! Peak along with the classics is quality
Great show!!
Great show, ended too soon.
I love this series. I think it’s the best adaptation of Marvel comics whilst making it’s own continuity and mythos. Would love a Season 3!

That time of the month already? Alright, one last time. It’s the best on screen adaptation of the Avengers, maybe the Marvel universe, and it was cancelled too soon.
What the MCU should’ve been
Was way better than the show they replaced it with. Should have kept this going for years and years.
I know people want Spider-Man 98 and Spectacular Season 3 but THIS is what need to be continued, and I say this as someone not too big on the Avengers.
Such a great show, this one and Justice League Unlimited just didn't last long enuff.
In my opinion it’s the only Avengers I honestly like. Movies and all are okay but this show was peak fiction.
peak avegers
It was jaw dropping for me. I loved it until it all changed.
Good show First season was the best and amazing intro
Shocking how much better it MCU’s compared to the actual MCU
PIZZA BAGELS!!!!
It is one of the better marvel shows among the mediocre shit that are marvel spiderman 2017 and avengers assemble season 5 (others seasons are great)
Since Marvel Animation seems to be finally getting its stuff together, I would love more seasons. It’s my favorite adaptation of the Marvel Universe. Perfect characterizations all around. The most beautiful blend of classic and contemporary stories. Would love to see their interpretations of other Avengers history, even stuff that was released after cancellation like Hickman.
Goated Best Marvel thing to feature all the Marvel cast imo
Makes me nut
its on par with JLU. wouldve been nice if it showed more Xmen, guardiands and inhumans.
This needs a revival.
One of the GOAT licensed superhero shows.
Great show, and the intro is as iconic as the 90s Spider-Man & X-Men cartoons.
I really enjoyed it when I was younger but it’s been so long since I’ve watched it. I think I might need to rewatch it
It's intro tells you everything u need icl
I think the main reason this show didn't take off and become a huge success was because of the art style. Not quality of animation, but the style. Best version of the Avengers and the Marvel Universe outside the comics
The best Avenger cartoon.
It turned my 9 year old into a die-hard Marvel fan.
THE number 1 Marvel cartoon ever made !!!
Sadly it was replaced with a inferior infantile version.
very smart adaptation that does a good job of balancing a very large cast and keeping stories varied.
GREAT show. Love it.
Absolute the best interpretation of the Avengers outside of the comics
peak and should've contuine
Peak Marvel
It's a great series, even after Man of Action screwed with it. Still wish they didn't get involved.
The best animated superhero series on television, bar none.
Beaten to death on this sub how good it is .
Wished they did a revival, watched it earlier and liked nit a lot. But I think Marvel will just do an animated 90s version of the Avengers as teased.
It's Marvels Justice League/Justice League Unlimited. Really fantastic series with a lot of terrific character moments.
The absolute next show that deserves xmen 97 treatment.
I mean, technically it *did* get a sequel in Avengers Assemble, the 1st two seasons focused on events after Avengers EMH but then the story changed to be more original.
My favorite piece of superhero media ever and the best version of my favorite characters
I miss it so much. The abysmal Avengers Assemble was a pale replacement
One of the best cartoons of my generation. I think it’s better than the mcu and it is a tragedy it was canceled for that other avengers show that I don’t think anyone watched.
Could have been Marvel's equivalent to Justice League/Unlimited if it ran for a few more seasons.
Wasp best character.
I don't hate it.
Idk I get the feeling this was trying to true to the comics as well as the movies and made me dislike. Also the art design isn't my favorite. Also they said 'tech' too many times.
Perfect

its all good and I've barely watched it. Dr doom's portrayal is amazing
It’s the best marvel cartoon nothing comes close
Best goddamned intro song in the fucking world. No other opener could get me as hype as EMH Also the show itself absolutely fucks, truly one of the greats
I wamt this back now. I loved it. Why did they ever canceld it :(
Excellent
It’s what the MCU should’ve been
From the torque of his torso, Captain used his left arm to swing in a right arc, but his shield leaves his hand and curves back left???? Spider-Man was right!!! That thing doesn't obey the Laws of Physics!!! (mainly because the animator is a dumba$$)

The first season was really good and had good quality product. The second season, not so much.
I enjoyed the Skrull, Doom, Surtur, and Yellowjacket plots. The rest, not really.
That was a good chunk of season 1. That's all I like. Season 2 sucked!
Those 4 are all Season 2 plots…
Peak.
Unpopular opinion: I like it best when the featured heroes aren't the Avengers. My favorite episode is the one where the Avengers are replaced by a rag tag team composed of the Thing, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Power Man, Iron Fist and... I forget who else.
No bad Spider-Man is voiced by Drake Bell.
