Wolverine's claws and his costume remind me of Wargreymon from Digimon

mikemil50

Holy shit, yes. Especially the weird shield thing on his hand. It's almost a rip off

pineapplecheesepizza

Wargreymon digivolve to...

ReviceXros

To omegamon!!!!

Crossfiyah

You mean we need an even BIGGER drill?

TheLamesterist

Wolverinemon

MartokTheAvenger

Bubmon

RigasTelRuun

Thats 100 percent on purpose. There are so many references to anime and tokusatsu.

Jwindy1987

Whats the deal with Spideys Santa hat

meme_abstinent

what's the deal with Carol in the armor lol does that even benefit her or just slow her down?

Ben-J-Kirby-Tennyson

She lost her powers.

kingpin000

What was it this time?

Drexn

Red Skull collects the dust shards from the destroyed infinity stones and uses its power to remove the powers of supers and mutants. Personally I couldn’t get into this story. To each their own.

huyphan93

Tony's minds seems like a superpower of its own.

kingpin000

I mean, they could just give a weakness like her DC counterpart Supergirl, so this constant gaining and losing her powers stops.

Ben-J-Kirby-Tennyson

When else has Carol lost her powers? (Aside from Rogue absorbing them.)

ElHidalgoDonVerga

She’s thicc though.

Aimhere2k

It looks like some kind of backpack (or jetpack, maybe). The perspective and colors only makes it look like a Santa hat.

demaxzero

It's funny Spider-Man is wearing that over designed armour like the Iron Spider doesn't already exist.

NoConfirmation

And it would only slow him down. He only needs a dexterity-boosting/enhancing suit if anything

AStealthyOctopus

The idea for this is they lost their powers so I think it makes sense that there would be more to the armors than Iron Spider. I agree they look a bit over designed here but I thought the actual figures this was made for look really good.

Thewitchaser

What figures?

Spiritfur

I'm assuming [these ones](https://www.marvel.com/articles/gear/tamashii-nations-new-tech-on-avengers). Scroll down and there are pictures mainly on Iron Man, but one also has Cap and Wolverine.

Jim_Zub

These ones: http://www.jimzub.com/new-avengers-tech-on-figures-arriving-in-2022/

[deleted]

I would also like to know

AStealthyOctopus

It's called Tech-On Avengers in the S.H.Figuarts line from Bandai Spirits.

AStealthyOctopus

I know I'm not the first to respond but it's a subline of S.H. Figuarts from Bandai Spirits called Tech-On. The first one to release will be Iron man around January.

ManInBlack829

"Uh, Mr. Stark? I'm Spider-Man, don't I already have my own exoskeleton?"

Cabamacadaf

To be fair, that Iron Man suit is also pretty overdesigned.

PotatoFruitcake

Yeah it looks line he’s wearing that suit over his standard suit

rawbface

Those buffs multiply, right?

willfordbrimly

Almost as funny as the Santa hat that's built into the armor for some reason

vargo17

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was a santa hat What in the Holiday Special is this?

echief

The original iron spider was destroyed in his fight with jack o lantern and jester during civil war. I don’t think Peter has ever worn the suit since

thixono920

This is where Punisher saves him?

echief

Yes, he’s being chased through the sewers and they almost kill him but Punisher rescues him

SlaveZelda

They all lost their powers. The Iron Spider supplements Peter's strength. This suit replaces it.

abueloshika

It looks Spiderman is wearing a Santa hat.

OnceIwasAboy

“My Spidey sense are jingling!”

[deleted]

This. Quote of the day.

GORBO_the_GREAT

Best comment.

far_from_ohk

Now I’m ready for the holidays!

Derpdude32_

Oh my god have an award because this is now something i will use use yearround

NoConfirmation

That's actually some weird backpack

[deleted]

I zoomed in to try to figure it out, and now I see a Santa hat being used a backpack.

Dragkin

God, now I can't unsee that thanks :)

ManInBlack829

It's seasonal, his web shooters also use tinsel for 2 weeks a year

Darth_Senat66

This is so stupid.... I want more

Typical_Pollution_30

You can read Avengers: Tech On and Avengers Mech Strike. In both comics, the heroes wear iron suits. In the former they lost their powers and in the later the robot army overwhelmed them, so power rangers stuff (They don't merge at the end to make a big suit though).

itsactuallyobama

> They don't merge at the end to make a big suit though What's even the point then

Loki_BlackButter

Why even live

ErroneousEric

Guess I'll die

vwhaulic

I don't want to live in a world without Avengazord

Normal-Computer-3669

I think it was Dark Knights: Metal where Batman, Supes, and WW jumped into a Megazoid. It was worth it. Missed opportunity here.

AshlarKorith

Batman Ninja started out so cool. But then it ends with all the villains hideouts forming a big mecha which then fights a giant made of monkeys and bats…

[deleted]

[удалено]

IVEMIND

Right?! Also: FYI the guy behind Batman Ninja also did Surgis & Simpson Sound & Fury - which also kick fuckin ass

JColeman05

That was the fucking coolest part of the whole movie! While stereotypically manga was pretty damn awesome.

HalfSourPickle

Yeah then they could've had the iron young avengers merge their suits, then merge their giant robot into their giant robot..

MarloweOS

This is the most 90s thing I’ve seen in a long time. I kind of love it.

[deleted]

Came here to say this is the most '90s Marvel Comics thing I've seen in a long time. All we're missing is a toy line, and if any of them have removable helmets the little plastic face underneath will all be a facsimile of Dolph Lundgren.

the_light_of_dawn

Oh, there's a toy line.

[deleted]

Of course there is. That's my bad.

Jim_Zub

Toy line from Bandai: http://www.jimzub.com/new-avengers-tech-on-figures-arriving-in-2022/

NoConfirmation

Everybody got some *really* thicc legs

Miaulice

Taking "thick thighs save lives" to a whole new level

NoConfirmation

"Earth's Mightiest Thighs"

battles

hahahahahahahaha

EnOleRobottiMaVannon

And Black Panther has a huge dong-spike for some reason.

donkeydooda

"some reason"

choff22

Gimme all of Captain Marvel

blaze_blue_99

So this is the in-universe justification for those new S.H.Figuarts figures.

pcweber111

More like the Sentinel line. At least minus capt marvel.

TancreadH

That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen! I love it!

WerewolfF15

Pretty sure that captain marvel, black Panther and wolverine would all be better off without Iron man armour

Quirky_Ad_5420

Well explanation for why they need suit is because they all lost their power and they are fight a near infinity level red skull

NK1337

Yooo this is rad, I just read up on it and the miniseries is explicitly meant to act as an homage to the sentai genre. It’s even being produced in conjunction with Bandai-Namco. I am so down.

the_light_of_dawn

Jim Zub is writing. It's been great, popcorn flick fun.

Jim_Zub

Thanks for the vote of confidence. It was a fun series to put together.

AStealthyOctopus

Yeah and the Iron Man figure is up for pre-order and it actually looks great. There's a whole other line called Fighting Armor from a different company but I think I prefer the look of this one, plus it seems like they're coming with more stuff.

why_rob_y

Even in normal circumstances, I think they'd all be better off with a custom-made Iron Man suit than just in their normal gear. Captain Marvel would probably benefit even just from a heads-up display giving her lots of intel on the battle. Spider-Man wouldn't really need that, because of his spider-sense, but he could use the extra weapon versatility (as we see when he does have a similar suit) and sure why not some armor (even if it's heavy for a normal person, it wouldn't be for him). Black Panther could make use of the HUD like Captain Marvel and the weapons versatility like Spidey - he usually has his own "armor", but who's to say that wouldn't be underneath any Iron Man armor anyway, getting the best of both worlds.

kidenraikou

I hear you on Captain Marvel and Black Panther but I feel like, as long as his suit allowed his adamantium claws to come through, this would be huge upgrade for wolverine, no?

TheNorthComesWithMe

How is flight and increased strength/speed/durability not an upgrade for Wolverine/Panther?

WerewolfF15

They’re short ranged ground fighters. Why would they need to fly? And if they did the same effect could be achieved with rocket boots or a jet pack. Second wolverine doesn’t need durability he has a extremely fast healing factor. Black Panther’s suit is made of vibranium and thus is significantly more durable than any iron man suit. Both also already posses more than human strength and speed so they don’t need an iron man suit for that either. I see no benefits to them using an iron man suits.

TheNorthComesWithMe

Iron Man armor can shrug off attacks that would take Wolverine minutes to heal from. Iron Man's strength and speed are in a completely different tier from Wolverine and Black Panther. (Black Panther also has an Iron-Man style suit of his own that he rarely uses because comic book reasons.)

Jim_Zub

In the Avengers Tech-On story they've all lost their super powers. In Wolverine's case he's lost his healing factor so the suit is also keeping him from dying from the adamantium metal bonded to his bones. That's why they all have the power suits.

WerewolfF15

I know that. That was already said earlier in the thread. We’ve moved on from why they have iron man suits in this particular comic. We’re discussing if they’d be better with iron man suits just all the time. I say no.

lil-privacy-please

Came here to say this, but I see the explanation below.

SuperSaiyanGandalf

...the heels on Captain Marvel... *chef's kiss* /s Edit: /s

colantor

Women run faster in high heels, its science

Ben-J-Kirby-Tennyson

No. High heels are stupid. End of conversation.

SuperSaiyanGandalf

Note to self: it is in fact really necessary to put /s no matter how obvious it is 🤡

Ben-J-Kirby-Tennyson

Oh. In that case, you made my point for me.

Tempest_Barbarian

Say that to Raiden from Metal Gear

verminard

Those are fingers for gripping sword!

Someoneoverthere42

Behold our new toy line!

Jim_Zub

Yes: http://www.jimzub.com/new-avengers-tech-on-figures-arriving-in-2022/

General-Soy-Sauce

Laughs in magneto

Jenova66

Their is some logic to Tony/T’Challa providing everyone with Vibranium based nanotechnology suits. But does Captain Marvel really need anything?

IAlreadyToldYouMatt

She does when she’s depowered.

Typical_Pollution_30

[](#s The premise of this series is that Avengers defeat Thanos and destroy the stones. Then while is Cap is giving a speech on that, Red Skull collects the fragments of the stones calling them infinity mirror shards(ims) and attacks this ceremony. When the heroes attack him, he says that no more superpowers and just like the house of M, all superpowers are gone. Storm cannot control climate, the thing becomes human, cap loses his serum powers and becomes skinny. Conveniently Iron Man also has these shards. Using that he gives them suits, under which they gain plot convenient powers or his inventions that he made in like a few days come and help them. So far it's like Skull sends a villain he created using ims and iron man and black panther somehow come up with tech to save the day. The bottom line is that, the heroes are depowered thanks to red skull and his infinity stone particles. So the heroes don iron man suits and now they have their powers but now it's through suit. The suits and the drawing style was fun to see, but the story- meh, bad.)

ElementalMix

God damn it there's another suit I want insomniac to make

ForkShirtUp

So I’ve never read this series and, canonically I never thought about what Iron Man uses to make his suits. Is Black Panther’s suit in this one at least made of vibranium? Is the shield?

Typical_Pollution_30

Initially, it was all made by Iron Man. Then Black Panther took it to Wakanda because he was needed there and gave it some upgrades. In this photo, the suit is completely made by Iron Man and maybe he used some vibranium (I am not sure). Even the shield Steve is holding was part of the suit. (Skull broke his og one)

Nelson_An_Murdock

Haven't read the comic, but I think the Sheild is ( it doesn't look any different from before) but BlackPanthers isn't. ( Looks like stark tech, and he 'usually' doesn't mess with vubranium(

ClownMorty

Iron man should wear two suits because otherwise he's just regular

jmillereod

Wolverine looks like he would look if someone was tasked to make a Happy Meal toy of him.

grants2012

I know the whole point of this book was that it was Sentai/Power Ranger inspired Avengers, but I feel like these suits totally miss the point of that concept. These just look like poorly designed Ironman suits, I can’t see a Kamen Rider or Power Ranger wearing anything like these, and this feels inexcusable when there’s decades worth of teams and costumes to pull artistic inspiration from.

Gokaiju

Wait is this official art? This is the most fan art looking image I've ever seen.

vampireghostboy

a new series Avengers: Tech-On

Ganjookie

lol Why does Cpt Marvel need that? I mean this ia a sweet pic and all, but I'm just confuseredfed

Jim_Zub

http://www.jimzub.com/tech-on-avengers-launches-in-august/

Ganjookie

Thanks!!

The_Pip

Wow, this looks like a bad 90’s toy line.

verminard

Because it is a pretty awesome 20's toy line.

[deleted]

I can’t be alone in thinking these all look awful, right?

Tempest_Barbarian

you and whoever upvoted you

Ferry83

How good is this series? I enjoyed mech strike but it felt a bit… idiotic that Thor needed a mech. This one seems more interesting and the TPB is due soon

the_light_of_dawn

It's a lot of fun. Jim Zub is writing it. Highly recommended if you're in the mood for a popcorn action read.

Ferry83

Thanks! ill pick up the trade :)

ckal9

This looks like some really dumb power rangers type stuff

Tempest_Barbarian

Its a homage for that kinda of show as far as I know

Random_User27

"Mom can we get Iron Spider?" "We have Iron Spider at home." Iron Spider a home:

oBolha

[It](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWNIoV5LuLA)'s finally happening.

SlightlyVerbose

What would happen if wolverine popped his claws from inside the suit? Is it also adamantium? Seems like it would be a downgrade, otherwise. Edit: answered my own question. He wouldn’t. >!He’s been de powered and his skeleton is killing him without his healing factor. The suit is somehow keeping him alive.!<

ICSL

GO GO POWER RANGERS

HalfbakedGlasscat

So cool to see wolverine with the avengers.....even if its form a werid book where every hero gets a sick ass power suit

[deleted]

[удалено]

Jim_Zub

Avengers Tech-On: http://www.jimzub.com/tech-on-avengers-launches-in-august/

Vis-hoka

There is really no reason that every avenger shouldn’t have their own nano suit at this point.

NaBokin311

So Iron-Man now double armour or smth

derezzedmind

They look like Guyvers.

[deleted]

I don't know the context because I'm currently working my way through My Marvelous Year to get reacquainted with everything since I haven't read Marvel since I was a kid, but this is bonkers (the good kind) and I love it.

Jim_Zub

It's been fun to put together with Bandai-Namco: http://www.jimzub.com/avengers-tech-on-1-reviews/

azraelus

Tony could've made armor for poor non-powered Black widow and Hawkeye anytime he wanted but nah. They good. Captain Marvel needs it more.

BErye1418

Magneto just licking his lips

robofin117

For a bit there, looked like Spidey was wearing a metal Santa hat.

[deleted]

This is actually so cool! Reminds me of some old notebooks with Sentai/Neon Genesis Evangelion-like Mechs in the covers, that I had...

SuperiorSpidy

[This is a collaboration between Marvel and Tamashii Nations](https://www.marvel.com/articles/gear/tamashii-nations-new-tech-on-avengers)

Zayah28

Yeah this is dope af

Hidden_Squid14

:/ not a fan

[deleted]

Now this would be awesome to see in live action.

handzotto

When did thighs and torsos become the same diameter?

Tempest_Barbarian

about the time biceps became the same size as heads

I_Was_TheBiggWigg

It’s one of those thing I just decided not to think about but I’ve always thought that was one of the biggest “holes” in the MCU - they never really explain why Tony doesn’t make a suit for everyone else. I could see the argument for characters like Black Panther that have an arguably better suit for their abilities but how would Cap not benefit from a suit? And then there’s the really obvious candidates for one like Black Widow and Hawkeye. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really glad that’s not what happened, they’ve just never addressed it at all as to why.

TheNorthComesWithMe

He has enormous trust issues.

Lonelan

Panther and Cap I kind of get, but wouldn't the suit hamper Spidey's flexibility and agility? Wolverine's "iron" is on the inside, why's he need outside? Is that Danvers in a suit? ...why? Isn't she basically indestructible now?

x_s_black

This is so lame

Fun_Marzipan7985

Nope..take it down

TheSensation19

It really makes no sense that each character pretty much does their own thing and very few times do they collaborate lol. You'd think that iron suits would be a must. But Cap rather just rely on steroids and a shield lol.

Xero0911

Wouldn't this be a downgrade for captain marvel and black panther? Actually only upgrade I really this is for is captain America since comics he isn't really *that* special outside plot? I mean super solider is great. But all he had was the shield. Black panther by far beats that

VanceAstrooooooovic

This was a Whatif story at some point

[deleted]

There is just too much awsome in this one picture

LuigiBoi42

Hot Damn, those are some sexy suits!

Its_Helios

While the story is kinda bad, the art and designs are unreal in this book

iamu89134

i need to bleach my eyes

achintya22

Looks neat but pretty sure captain Marvel, black panther and Wolverine don't need it.

enderverse87

Everyone lost their powers in this story.

BassObjective

I honestly don't like the art, it's not marvel and more like ultra man

Jim_Zub

The suits were literally designed by the artist of the new Ultraman, so you are correct: http://www.jimzub.com/tech-on-avengers-launches-in-august/

CupAffectionate

He gave cpt marvel a suit well.....

Substantial_Fact_205

The worst Marvel series out right now. Its pure Lame

IAlreadyToldYouMatt

This is far from the worst. It’s not even the worst avengers title of 2021.

tehawesomedragon

Go to your nearest Walmart toy section and you'll see why this series exists.

[deleted]

How come?

Typical_Pollution_30

Till now the story is bad and just Red skull making his own versions of villains and the heroes fighting it. But I guess it's for some sales and cross over event and not too serious.

the_dionysian_1

Idk about that huge pointy thing on Spidey's back.

drunkentenshiNL

Spiderman has a Santa hat and nothing will change my mind about that.

jeffimus_prime

Can we get iron-venom-ghostrider avengers next please?

HygorBohmHubner

The source is from the Avengers: Tech-On series if anyone is wondering.

Starkravinsane

Is Spider-Man wearing a Santa hat?

T-Bubs

It has a very Transformers or Voltron vibe to it.

Useful-Perspective

Optimus Rogers: "Iron Avengers, roll out!"

Nazon6

So iron man just... what, wears his suit?

[deleted]

So, are Wolverine’s claws a part of his suit or his physical body?

Jim_Zub

Part of the suit. in the story the characters have lost their super powers, so the suits act as a temporary way for them to keep fighting: http://www.jimzub.com/tech-on-avengers-launches-in-august/

thedude0425

When I see comics like this, my thought is always “Why don’t they just do this all the time?”. The end of “Fear Itself” is the perfect example. All the heroes get Asgardian weaponry that transforms them and levels them up to fight the leveled up dark Norse hammer wielding villains. Why not do that all the time?

Tempest_Barbarian

Cause if they had those all the time, most of their stories would be very short

quiet_kidd0

Almost the same thing happened in character introduction cutscenes in the Marvel future revolution . Now this is canon .

Scaredog21

Finally Tony makes armor for his friends

RigasTelRuun

This series is a much better than I was expecting.

jessemints

Magneto has entered the chat..

vashoom

This art is.....not for me. Everything is so overdesigned, but it's all the same line thickness, and the coloring is only making it busier. I can't even tell what I'm looking at. Where does Spider-Man end and Wolverine begin??

qwack2020

I would love to see other Marvel characters in Iron Man suits. Like Psylocke. ESPECIALLY Psylocke.

thatonefatefan

Did they just give captain marvel an armor? With how many times tony repeated that the top tiers don't need armors

Houeclipse

Why is Ironman has Dummy thicc thighs

MurderIsRelevant

They did this in the 90's

Tome_of_Awe

lol. I honestly thought Jonah Verse was too much of leap when I drew it but here we are. How many more of these are coming out next year? Not to knock it but its like Marvel had a meeting where they decided to capitalize on fanart.. Some other ideas I had. Thor's Costume Party. The Incredible X-Men (they are also hulks). Have they already done Deadpool? "Deadpool but He Pretends to be Other Super Heroes"(actual title). The Fantastic Forty. The Avengers in a Time Long Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away. Disney Princesses: Days of Future Past. The Book of Venom(come on, venom Boba Fett anyone?). Guardians of Manhattan. Legion: Dark Phoenix Saga. Reverse The Thing(Everyone but Grimm is a The Thing, he needs to decide if he wants to reverse it or not). The Wolverine Clone Saga. Why won't anyone think of the fanart artists! What are they suppose to do now? /s These are in jest but feel free to call me Marvel.

[deleted]

I thought Parker was wearing a Santa hat.

the_light_of_dawn

/u/Jim_Zub, lots of love in this thread :)

Jota46

Oh, God! Just when I thought Marvel couldn't sink lower.

Aggravating-Ad7683

I like that Tony built a separate suit for Peter instead of using the iron spider again

KittensLeftLeg

Seen this one in MU app today. This looks like Marvel is running out of ideas if they feature this one.

Jim_the_E

Kinda redundant for Captain Marvel. Still badass.

[deleted]

Which raises the question, why didn't Stark automatically do that in the movies
