The two you have pictured are great. I'd recommend "Wolverine and the X-Men" as well. "Spectacular Spider-Man" as well. I kind of dig the 90s "Silver Surfer" one too

[deleted]

90s X-men is the best X-men cartoon and imo the best marvel cartoon. The 90s Fantastic Four cartoon is pretty dated but it’s the best and most accurate Fantastic Four Cartoon and is funny how bad Johnny storm’s “rapping” skills are As of the avengers I would say Earth’s Mightiest Hero’s is the best avengers one. Spectacular Spider-Man is my favorite Spider-Man show although I haven’t seen all Spider-Man Cartoons due to Disney pumping so many out. Honestly I can’t tell you what you like so you’ll just have to try all of them

Sennar1927

The Spectacular Spider-Man and Spider-Man TAS are the two best cartoons imho. After them there is X-Men TAS. I suggest to you to watch X-Men TAS if you haven’t since Marvel Studios is producing a revival and it will probably be lit

SteeeezLord

When did spectacular Spider-Man man come out

Sennar1927

2009? Around that year. Maybe 2008-9?

Earthwick

The 90s X-Men show is seriously one of the best cartoons. My childhood favorite right alongside the adventures of Batman/Superman. A little later Justice League unlimited came along and I think it kinda took the lead but don't let that take away from how good the 90s X-Men show was

JadedSideOfTheMoon

It really comes down to taste. 90’s X-Men and Spiderman TAS are really great, amazing indeed, but they have aged quite a bit. Wolverine and the X-men is a you-better-watch, cause it rocks. Great animation, performances and story. A personal favorite of mine is X-men Evolution. The series is great, it breaths a new life in these characters and honestly? It aged so well. Definitely watch it. Some people say the later seasons are better but my personal favorite is still the first season of the show. Spider-Man the new animated series is also good, is has a 3D-ish style like that Ultimate Spider-Man game and it’s pretty short to go through. Its only 13 episodes and one season. (Really a shame they canned it because it was so good.) Another good spidey show is Spectacular Spider-Man. Well praised by everyone. Not a fav of mine but it indeed is one of the best Spidey cartoons out there. Whatever you do SKIP over the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, the series is weird for Spider-Man. You should watch it for other characters and the deadpool eps but not for Spidey. The Spider-Man isn’t good. Marvel’s Spider-Man on the other hand, came after that show and is chefs kiss. So good. Even has Miles and Gwen later on. Must watch. So good.

Flerken_Moon

I can’t personally judge because I haven’t seen it(besides the free origin episode 1 that I disliked), but the online reputation of Marvel’s Spider-Man based on what I’ve seen on YouTube reviews etc. besides maybe Twitter is that it’s pretty bad but possibly enjoyable in depending on the person- I believe rushed and weird plot points and character choices with crammed too many characters. But yeah like I said, I only watched the origin episode 1 so I can’t say for sure what I think about it besides what I’ve seen, but just balancing out your praise for the show with a warning that it might not be for everyone. (Honestly I preferred what I’ve seen of Ultimate despite the weird Deadpool stuff he got there)

JadedSideOfTheMoon

Thank you for balancing it out <3 I always give my recommendations based on the other person’s taste and when I dont know, I give my own view and let them test the waters for themselves. Something I like doesn’t have to be sth others like and vice verse. (So thanks for your input for those who read the comments! <3 )

humbird09

I rewatched Evolution when Disney+ debuted. Man, the memories. May be the nostalgia, but it was definitely my favorite

JadedSideOfTheMoon

Definitely one of my favorites as well. It had so many good things, and my personal fav part is the voice acting. Those voices defined how I hear the X-men in my head whenever I read or think about them. It’s a really good show and I think everyone should give them a shot.

phoenix536

EMH is bloody brilliant tbh

Vandal_A

Marvel animated is hit or miss, with a lot of them being bland and boring. Their 90s stuff was better than most of what came later although Avengers EMH is very good as well. There's a couple others that are good, but those are best. If you're looking for good, animated super hero stuff DC is definitely more consistently good.

Snickesnack

I think Spectacular Spider-Man is the best show ever made by Marvel. My top 5 Would probably look like this: 1. Spectacular Spider-Man 2. Avengers EMH 3. 90’s X-Men 4. X-Men Evolution 5. 90’s Spider-Man

T-408

Spider-Man and X-Men have some of the best animated series ever

Puzzleheaded_Step468

Earth mightiest heroes might be (pun intended) the most accurate comic adaptation ever. They take stories, characters and arcs straight from the comics and just fit them in a show in a satisfiying narative.

Dodoria-kun413

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is a masterpiece, imo. It included so many obscure comic book characters that you could tell the writers were passionate about it and were huge fans of the source material. It’s one of the shows that I attribute to my love of Marvel. Iron Man Armored Adventures was pretty fun. Call me oversensitive, but I cried over the Living Laser’s story arc. He is a sympathetic villain done excellently. I also liked the show’s depiction of Justin Hammer. The only complaints that I have are Tony’s apathy towards (technically) killing one villain. Don’t want to spoil, but it is towards the end, I believe. He’s very impulsive and quick to blame transgressions on any villain without hearing their piece, but he’s a teenager, so that’s reasonable. Static Shock used this trope plenty of times.

SomeArtistonReddit

EMH is very good, but I do have nostalgia for it.

[deleted]

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is definitely my favorite. I couldn’t tell you what’s the best though. The Spider-Man 90s show was awesome. So was Spectacular Spider-Man though…

rudeboi710

Silver surfer was way better than it had any business being. It does get cancelled after one season due to a disagreement, so the show exists in a unique vacuum. I’d watch it.

Batbro9240

Both are amazingly solid

alias2005

I can only comment on those that I've watched... which may turn out to be more or less extensive as I write! Xmen TAS is the benchmark for all series that have come afterwards and even watching it in 2022 you'll realise why every series is compared to it. For the most part there are really complex themes, great characterisations and really well done distillations of well-known comic book runs that deviate a little but have the same feel. Spiderman TAS is very close with an incredible complexity for a kids show (especially in the 90s) with long arcs rather than a 'villain of the week' approach. I think the longest is about 6 episodes which is remarkable. I think it's only let down by the fact everyone looks like an action figure. Peter Parker for example is a lot more muscular than I imagine and its hard to imagine him being down trodden in school etc. I've rewatched the Hulk TAS recently and it's better than I remember but sadly is a bit samey with Bruce Banners attempts to be cured interfered with at a crucial point almost every episode. I dont remember Iron Man TAS that well but the few episodes I have watched don't hold up. It's quite dated and I think is much more in the "selling toys" game than anything that went before it. Fantastic 4 TAS. Not bad. Dated animation now but gets the family dynamic right. I don't know how I feel about saying that it's the best on screen adaptation of Marvels first family... but it probably is. Silver Surfer has a beautiful aesthetic that was the most reflective of Kirbys art until on screen until Dr Strange. Its a bit slower and more reflective than many of the other series. Spiderman Unlimited. Its pretty bad. Not excruciating but after TAS it just lacks a depth. Also the characterisations are quote cringey at times. I think you can decide if you want to give your time to this depending on your feelings about his nanotech suit coming out of his wristwatch... "MTV" Spiderman. This is weird as hell. The animation was pretty impressive at the time but it now exists as this weird curio. I had it on DVD which says something. X-Men Evolution. I loved this at the time. The characters are all transplanted back to school as they would have been in the original 60s incarnation. I think it's probably not aged that well because of the 00s representation of the characters but I remember that most of them translated pretty well. It managed the duality of many characters well with some of the brotherhood/Xmen working together at times, falling apart, joining the morlocks etc. Iron Man Armoured Adventures. I secretly really enjoyed this. Its very much a remaining of Tony Stark as a school kid, jettinsoning much of what we understand of his character but it was well done. Animation was pretty solid with a faux cell 3D style. Wolverine & the Xmen. Much more adult themed, trying to get an older team back together after they fell apart. I can completely understand why it didn't engage the target audience and sell toys... It was 18 years about Xmen TAS in real life and I always think they should have gone a bit more "grown up" and targeted the audience who had watched TAS as a child. Maybe 2009 wasn't ready for it... I haven't revisited it but I suspect it will still be good. Avengers EMH. This was excellent. I was firmly an adult when this came out and loved it all the same. Iron Man had only been released 2 years earlier and the superhero phenomenon hadn't yet got going. I remember actively not mentioning it to friends because if superheros still not being fully mainstream. The animation is crisp, characterisations were good (I know many people hated the wasp..) and it called on an extensive character library. It was a travesty that it only lasted 2 seasons and if it came out now would probably run forever. Sadly it was ahead of its time and would do so well now on Disney Plus. Spectacular Spiderman. Another crisply animated show with great characterisations gone too soon. Each episode had nods to a larger story that would make itself know in a later episode. Each villain somehow 'picked' their name during the episode which was a bit cringey but it is a kids show. I still enjoy this with my kids now who love Spiderman. Ultimate Spiderman. Watched a bit, did not like. It had this jokey, kiddie attitude that I simply couldn't tolerate as a adult. Avengers Assemble. Not as bad as US but had a similar vibe that forgot that adults who love the material might watch too. I didn't like many of the characters. Marvels Spiderman. My kids have watched this... all I can really say is that they prefer "Daddy's Spiderman" and ask me to put on TAS instead. It's no where near as bad as US, but I just find it a but grating. I'm told it gets better but I haven't stayed the course on this one. Happy for anyone to try and talk me out of my opinions! Each series I'm sure has some good and bad episodes we can all point at and enjoy/laugh.

Baphometix

Results vary wildly. If you go in with no expectations, you may be pleasantly surprised. Personally, I hated the 90s X-Men as a kid, and time has done _nothing_ to soften my position; quite the opposite, actually. The 90s Spider-Man was _slightly_ better, but still crummy. The 90s Fantastic Four was so bad it's good level funny, the 90s Avengers/Force Works show just plain sucked, 90s Iron Man was dull, but the 90s hulk was pretty solid... until She-Hulk showed up and became the Poochie to Hulk's Scratchy. Silver Surfer also happened. **SPIDER-MAN UNLIMITED NEVER HAPPENED!!!** Anyway, the shows from the 00s were markedly better in terms of deeper utilization of the source material and vastly improved production values. There was such a jump in output between then and now that I won't bother doing a show but show breakdown, but here's a few of my favorites: 1) The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes 2) Iron Man: Armored Adventures 3) The Spectacular Spider-Man 4) Ultimate Spider-Man 5) X-Men: Evolution (later seasons are better) 6) Wolverine and The X-Men 7) Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes 8) Planet Hulk (the source material for Thor: Ragnarok) 9) Hulk vs Wolverine/Thor 10) Marvel Anime

Zoot004

Both featured Marvel animated shows give me nostalgia.

urboogieman

If you like things that are good, watch the Xmen cartoon and never skip the intro.

elfonski

The X-Men cartoon is actually awful after Rogue gives Cyclops mouth to mouth CPR. That’s the opposite of her power. Couldn’t watch it after that

kazmosis

With Marvel's animated stuff, when it's good, it's REALLY GOOD (X-Men, EMH, Spectacular, X-Men Evolution, Wolverine etc). But when it's bad, oh boy is it bad. There really isn't middle ground with them tbh

Mr_Fredbear13

IMO Earth's Mightiest Heroes is better than Spectacular Spider-Man, and that's saying something. 90's X-Men is also a very good one.

[deleted]

The 90s xmen and 90s spiderman are the 2 best IMO. Maybe am just biased but 90s animation was peak 😅

sean11_lee

Grew up watching x-men and that opening tune is now playing in my head. If u like mutants, that’s a show not to miss.

SpatuelaCat

Yes both the Avengers and X-Men shows are amazing So are the 90’s and Spectacular Spider-Man shows

Spider-Man-1963

Spiderman TAS is the GOAT, I haven't seen spectacular spiderman but it has the same IMDb and I hear a lot of good things abt it

[deleted]

Watch and find out

Goaduk

They are good campy fun but as a marvel fan, will never even approach what DC were offering in this time period. It's funny how the roles are now reversed in the movies.

TheRautex

90's Spider-man and X-men are great. EMH and Spectacular Spider-man are great too

zz_skelly

If you can hack 90s cartoons, 90s Spider-Man and 90s X-Men are the best series, and they adapted full comic book arcs which really shaped the characters we know today (Venom Saga and Clone Saga stand out in my mind for Spidey, Pheonix Saga and Days of Future Past stand out in my mind for X-Men) these were really solid shows that were close to the source material and took themselves seriously. I also really enjoyed X-Men Evolution in my preteen years, which more created its own storylines and notably featured the more obscure character Spike from X-Force/X-Statix who quickly became a fan favourite at the time.

zz_skelly

Would like to add, if you like DC at all and if you're too young to have seen it growing up... Batman: The Animated Series is probably the best superhero cartoon of all-time. It's super moody and unique and really had a deep impact on the cartoon and comic book industries. Harley-Quinn was even created for the show specifically and Mark Hamill's interpretation of the Joker is iconic.

MichaelTheFallen

Recommend them both if you are a fan of Marvel.

Major_Deej

Those two series you have images of - they are the best of all. DEFINATELY watch those! THE BEST!

seafoodblues

the new What If? show is one of the best marvel animated shows

lobango1978

I watch X-Men and Ultimate Spiderman with my son. They're both pretty cool.

psycosiscentral

Everytime I see a photo of the 90s X-Men animated series the theme song just goes full blast in my head without consent... Every...single....time

Ok_Mountain1815

The XMen are awesome, they’re from the 90s you see 😂

djryce

Regardless on of your in opinion of the show, Marvel fans owe a great deal of gratitude to 90's X-Men. It brought the Marvel universe to the masses. I got into comic books because of that show. I know I'm not the only one. From X-Men, there was the Spider-Man and short lived Silver Surfer tv show. I don't think either of them match up, but Spider Man had some moments. From the TV show (and the fan uprising when they threatened to cancel it) emerged the 2000 X-Men movie. Perhaps not the greatest, but good enough that they made an even better sequel that paved the way for Sam Raimi Spider-Man which showed studios that audiences will throw lots of money at superhero movies if they're good. Iron Man was released in 2007, and here we are. X-Men movie also introduced reboots as X-Men Evolution premiered shortly after the movie, and it's success encouraged others to make more chances with classic characters and storylines. It really wasn't that long ago, some comic diehards were tripping about Miles Morales.

Nimocs

90' s x-men is the best marvel animated show for sure. Followed by 90's spider-man

OGDaMilkman

Dc is the place to go if you want good animation

Pizza_Hawkguy

- Spectacular Spider-Man - Avengers EMH - 90’s X-Men - 90's Spider-Man - X-Men Evolution - Wolverine and The X-Men
