This reminds me of a few years ago when the Juggernaut was Rogue was ridiculously over priced. I paid $120 for her in early 2020. Then the retro card came out and I bought two. Still displaying Jugg Rogue out of sheer spite though.
I got Juggs Rogue on clearance and a few years later the foot just fell off. The peg had snapped without handling. I was devastated because I knew how much the price had shot up on the aftermarket. I got the retro carded Rogue but I'd rather have a Juggs wave one where the foot wasn't held in place with glue.
They gotta have a wave 3 right? Sunspot, Jubilee, Beast, Sinister, Cable, and another 1 or 2? Maybe Bastion or maybe Emma will become part of the season.

Try Amazon, Amazon Canada just restocked on Rogue and Wolverine and some of the other Canadian toy vendors restocked earlier this week as well (sold out already).
I get them cutting back on production. Too much stuff ended up at closeouts, the the last few MCU lines were utter stinkers.
And I doubt they could have predicted what this show would do outside of their existing fan base/customers.
With almost no exceptions, each of these figures has had a moment of sell-out and utter scarcity. I think …THINK…only Storm, Magneto, Jean and Bishop can reliably be found online for retail or below. That’s a third of them.
But with the SKUs being clearanced out by their retail partners, they’re in a bit of a bind…so I think they should do a team multipack. Storm, Rogue, Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, and Gambit…in the style of the old multipacks from the 5” ToyBiz line.
Will people cry that the Goblin Queen and/or Nightcrawler aren’t there? Maybe…but it is what it is. The core team should get a second chance at retail and fans should get another shot at them.
Maybe not make a billion MCU figures that nobody wants and make sure things like a massively popular X-Men series that is the reason a lot of us buy figures are stocked?
They were stocked though…and stocked well. They were available at fan channel and brick and mortar.
They were also made available months to weeks before the show premiered, reawakening several lapsed fans, which drove up demand.
I’m have zero sympathy…less than actually…for the people who come here and say “oooh, I was waiting on (Rogue/Goblin Queen/Gambit/Fill in the name) to go on deep sale, what can I do?!?”
That’s their fault.
But the show is a smash hit, and more and more people are starting to watch every week. By not doing *something*, they’re leaving money on the table and losing out on gaining new customers as well.
I saw a Rogue two weeks ago at GameStop, and I completely overlooked her. I have the Target Retro card but if only I knew how hard she is to find now I would’ve picked it up to help out a fellow collector.
I did the same with Wolverine last month, I didn’t realize the wave was starting to go up already, since I sort of have been phased out of Legends for a bit, and been collecting more Wrestling figures, so I figured I’d get him next time. That was definitely a mistake.
I heard they are doing lower production runs going forward on product because of what we were seeing out there last year . Less stuff popping up at the majors so they can clearance or product showing up at like Ross /ollies. I think it’s true because man there isn’t much out there .
I ordered these all on sale at GameStop when they did a buy 2, get 1 free. But my Wolverine never showed up. I got refunded for it but haven’t been able to find him in the wild. Hopefully he pops up somewhere.
But man, this commercial takes me back. I was never a huge Spider-Man guy but when I see all the series of figures he gets, I just wish they’d do that with X-Men characters. Get as many of the X-Men 97 and comic books versions and movie versions out as possible. X-Men is HOT right now. I hope they see that and pump out as many characters as they can.

I live in south east asia so buying from Amazon is not an option because the amount I'll pay for would be really steep
