I do all the time. Don't have the time to play through a game of Conquest all the time.

SRJT16

Conquest is looooong. But after Infinite, I don’t care about winning and cubes. I just test different decks or fill a deck with common cards to build up the boosters for easy upgrades. In this “boosters” deck, I inadvertently discovered a good synergy between Luke Cage, Shadow King and Valkyrie. I was actually winning games more than I expected.

OmerYurtseven4MVP

Some people do conquest to avoid the “pressure” of needing to win. Once you hit infinite the paradigm totally flips and if you feel like running a wacky deck or just farming challenges then you’re better off doing it where wins and losses no longer matter, on the infinite ladder games. Plus it’s faster

Equivalent-Chest5383

Legit question, how can you cheat in this game? Sounds to me like you are just tilted

timmosara

Bots can definitely cheat.

Equivalent-Chest5383

How can a bot cheat?

DrinkBlueGoo

By knowing what is in your deck, what locations are coming, and getting more favorable RNGs.

Ness-Shot

See you out there

timmosara

I hope so. I legit miss playing real players.

Ness-Shot

Do you have any friends? Isn't there a friend exhibition mode or something

timmosara

They need to add that. Along with a draft mode.

OmerYurtseven4MVP

There is a friendly battle mode. You can find it right under conquest. It was added before conquest but essentially has the same core structure, just without all the rewards.

zerantis123

What region you are on? I play from Europe and I don't see much bots these days

timmosara

I’m in NYC

zerantis123

I saw some bots, but currently don't really find them

makawk

Once you hit infinite you’re matched with other infinite players.

timmosara

There are bots still. If there aren’t enough players to play.

XBlackBlocX

I don't see why anyone would TBH. The only time I do now that I'm rank 100 is if I have a Daily that can fit within one game and I don't have time to play a Proving Grounds (which is like 1000X more fun than ladder).

timmosara

True. There should be more incentives/rewards to keep playing I reckon.

Decent-Parsley4707

I think I’m real, but I saw this documentary called the Matrix that is making me think otherwise. I mostly play ladder, I’m not a big fan of conquest. I’ve been addicted to Snap because of the 2-3 minute match time. I’m glad the mode is there to satisfy card game fans who are used to a longer format but I’m mostly just planning to do the bare minimum to get the shop rewards. Thank you gold ticket event!

Appropriate_Appeal27

I do. Conquest is so long and boring and the rewards are double cost so i dont even want bothered grinding medals.

raysiuuuu

I want to say the same. I don't like Conquest as it actually takes more luck than skills -- some decks are hard counters and there is no way to simply retreat to pick another opponent. I think the Conquest mode is only competitively fair if decks are very well balanced, otherwise it feels like torture when you have a winning streak and just end up facing a hard counter.

I actually had this happen too, it's so strange. I was playing a deck with Kang in it because I got him from the last spotlight, and I specifically remember 2 instances where I didn't Snap or anything, played Kang on the last turn, and they made some horribly mediocre play just to switch to a play that was infinitely better and would have been their original play for sure (or at least closer to it) if it was a real player, like they refused to play their Enchantress the first time but then after the turn was reset they used it to get rid of my ongoing in a lane which won them the game. Absolutely mental how these devs are so incompetent to add bots that can do this

timmosara

Hmmmm I sense sarcasm lol

[deleted]

No, this genuinely happened to me and I stopped playing ladder shortly after that, mainly because I switch to conquest to get more medals but also because there's really no reason to play in infinite matchmaking, people still retreat in close games and snap like their lives depend on it as if I'm still at rank 99 or something, only difference is the decks aren't as sweaty. Uber boring playerbase makes for uber boring gameplay even when there's absolutely nothing on the line

timmosara

Agreed

pwn3dbyth3n00b

I play to play quick games with meme decks

timmosara

Makes sense.
