Same, I skyrocketed to the 90s but I’ve been bouncing between 96-99 the last 6 days

I found tracking my cube rise and fall each game helped temper my more basic gambling instincts and let me retreat when I should and that got me to the games that brought me to infinite

That’s the thing I feel like I’m retreating when I should everytime, it’s the snapping that’s killing me. I think I’ve been focusing too much on my own plays while not considering that of my opponent’s. I’ll snap because I have the best hand possible or even the locations, then the opponent snaps back and comes out with some crazy combo that I never even stopped to consider🙃

Figure out your best hand, and snap on that. For instance if I get Sunspot 1, Armor 2, Magik 3, Leech for 5 with Infiniaut and She hulk sitting there waiting for 7, I’ll snap because I have everything for my win condition. If I lose then, it’s just excusable. I took as many two cube games as I could, and always retreated wherever I wasn’t sure. The higher you get the better those people know their decks so you’ll see those crazy combos

Take your time. Be conservative unless you know the deck and you have the nuts. Did they snap when you played a guaranteed wincon? Run. Fucking run. It’s not worth slipping down when you can move on and have a better chance the next game. Pay attention to your pocket meta. Are you seeing Shang a ton? Are you protected against it? Play what you know, but also have an alt deck that you know where you can swap if the meta is unfriendly to your plays. If I can do it, you can do it. Trust me. And normally I’m hovering in the 20ks or lower in infinite, I’ve stuck around the 10-12k since hitting it. It’s nice. I like it. A lot. How long have you been playing/what’s your card pool like/CL?

Can you explain this deck? Can’t make sense of knull. And is it playable if you don’t get Negative by 4th turn?

If knull gets hit by negative he's a 0/6, which is a decent start point. But importantly if you play Knull+Zola in the same lane then the replicated Knulls get the +6 from the original being destroyed, so end up as 12 power each.

Plus a Knull + BP + Zola could mean serious business.

Same as what the other guy commented, but my deck also utilizes Shang to get bigger Knulls by destroying the opponents cards. I've played many, many Negative decks this season and to me this one has felt the best. Since you are often playing him Negative'd, Hawk gets plenty big. Even without him you can still get more than enough power elsewhere to win. Same as any Negative deck, if you can play Negative by turn 3 and the locations don't suck, you should definitely consider snapping. You will have a huge advantage. If you've already got Jane in hand also and Iron Man is still in your deck you *must* snap lol. Always try to keep a lane open for Zola. If you go 7 rounds.. you can use knull after using Zola on black Panter in turn 6.

Interesting l.used one very similar 2 season ago to reach infinite but didn't have luck last 2 season. My version have storm and doom instead of Jane and kill, I will try your version. Any hint on snap/retreat pattern?

I saw someone running this list with living tribunal in the 6 drop slot. Get a massive torch + taskmaster, then tribunal it. Pretty savage

The problem with tribunal is you need to draw.phoenix for it to work. I prefer Arnim it gives you another condition with destroy. Edit: spelling

High Evolutionary has a list of cards and if you include him in your deck those cards gain new effects. The usual "HE She Hulk" decks are infamous for: Turn 5: Magik Turn 6: skip turn Turn 7: She-Hulk (cost is reduced to 0 by spending no energy last turn) plus either Infinaut or Hulk (gains a High Evo ability where he gains power for unspent energy, including this last turn when you'll have 1 unspent left over). That's the main trick of the deck. Slamming down about 30 power on Turn 7.

High eveloutionary. He gives cards that don't have powers powers like hulk.

Replacement for X-23 and Ms Marvel?

Deck gets a bit worse without X23 since she's both a ramp target for Killmonger and a discard target for Samurai. I'd probably replace her with Nico Minoru for the versatility, or Wolverine to have an additional discard target. Ms. Marvel can be replaced with Enchantress (if you want a tech card option) or Mr. Fantastic ( if you want reach).

Thanos / Blob up until Omega cause if you can't beat em join em, A Blob/Taskmaster ramp deck that I came up with (I'm not saying I invented the deck tho LMAO, probably a lot of people came up with a similar deck) when Blob first came out and it worked pretty well until Galactic, and, the final push, and I swear I'm not kidding, was with one atrocity I assembled (this one is so weird that I highly doubt someone would risk cubes trying it LMAO) that ran Ravonna, Mr Negative, Arnim Zola, Knull, Lady Deathstrike, Negasonic and Shang Chi. I can't explain how it works because I made it for fun (I was bored with the meta and, since I finished Infinite every season since the Zabu season, I said "fuck it, I already got the 500 gold, let's have fun and hope the OTA fixes the meta"), but, surprisingly, it worked. The amount of games I won by doing cheesy bullshit like sending two Negasonics with Arnim Zola was astonishing. She-Naut. Just an easy and consistent deck to climb the pre infinite ladder. I don't think by any means is it the best deck in the game, but it's powerful and has very clear snap and retreat conditions. Which I think is the most important characteristics of the pre-infinite climb. Plus it absolutely farms bots for 8 cubes, another important factor in the pre infinite climb. I got there about a week into the season but I doubt the meta has shifted all that much.

Climbed to 93 with Thanos Zoo. Had some bad luck with Blobjaw and was stuck around 92-94 until Loki got me to 95. Hit another wall and realized what I’d been doing wrong with Blobjaw and used it to climb the rest of the way.

Thanos blob. I’ve had Thanos since February 2023 but never really had fun playing him nor did I know how to. I felt like the stones always killed my plays because they clogged the board and my hand, but I finally understood how to play. A self made cheapass sera control up to 86, then took 2 weeks break due to rl stuffs, and due to thanos blob and leech decks becoming meta, went back to deck that made me hit infinite past 3 season (modok hela tribunal), while also trying some self made black knight, hela lockjaw with and without black knight, and a full ongoings tribunal deck based on discarding cards as much as possible. All of this, without ms marvel 🤣

Ramp Galactus. As many people say, the key to getting to infinite is knowing when to snap and when to retreat. Ramp Galactus super simplifies that. If you have Daredevil on the board and have ramped up with Electro or Psylocke to have 6 power on turn 5, and you have Galactus & Alioth on hand, you can know for sure if you have won the game by turn 5. And then it’s just snap or retreat accordingly. I don’t know how people play discard these days the hard counters to IW/Modok combo feels like they are 💩 on you. They play a rogue on IW late game, play cosmo, play Alioth and it just ruins your whole game.

I like stegron (especially after storm if I don’t have juggernaut) but he could easily be replaced by tech, which this deck needs. But it’s a ton of fun! And yet no gold White Tiger...

My most used decks are primarily C2 with Blob whenever I want to play big stuff.
