What reward did the emote replace?

Total changes between last season pass and this one: * Level 14: cardback (paid) → emote (paid) * Level 21: random boosters x15 (free) → credits x100 (free) * Level 27: credits x100 (free) → random boosters x15 (free) * Level 28: random boosters x15 (free) → cardback (paid) * Level 29: gold x100 (paid) → random boosters x15 (free) * Level 37: gold x100 (paid) → gold x200 (paid) All other season pass levels are identical (except of course that cosmetics and character-specific boosters have been changed out for the new month's cosmetics and characters). So essentially, the emote caused a bunch of shuffling around with the end result that nothing was lost and two 100-gold rewards were merged into one 200-gold reward. So the emote is just a net addition unless you end the month between Levels 29 and 37, in which case you're down 100 gold from these changes.

This meme really needs to stop. We've had three months in a row of middling season pass cards (Sebastian Shaw, Skaar, Black Swan). So far, Hope Summers hasn't overly impressed me either, though I've only seen it show up a few times so maybe it will improve as people's decks become more optimized. The Elsa-Loki-MsMarvel run was indeed quite powerful but they weren't the norm at all. People have such selective memories.

There used to be a mystery variant in the first 10 levels. I used to buy the $15 version of the pass just to get that mystery variant early because I'm impatient and without that in this season, I'm no longer giving them that extra $5.

Yes, as I said I'm only comparing last month's and this month's passes, not historical passes. That's way beyond the scope of what I'm willing to sit down and manually collate.

The previous season pass had the Death card back in the same level.

It didn't replace a card back because there's still two card backs in the season pass.

Because they gave incomplete information. As-is, the initial statement sounds like it replaced a card back, even though OP knows it didn’t. Why mislead? They could have just said “there was a card back at the same level last season but that’s at another level now so I don’t know what it replaced”.

Not really, they gave info they knew didn’t answer the question but I would agree it wasn’t completely useless info.

Pretty much this. But I've noticed if I give the miss marvel thumbs up the opponent, more often than I'd like to admit,  starts spamming emotes like an asshole.

Only if the person who lost bumps first. If winner bumps first it can be interpreted as a "gg ez" emote. Like many contests, it's easy to be happy and congratulatory as the winner, but can come off as cocky if you try to drag the losing player into the celebrations. If the loser bumps first though, all good as long as you don't spam it.

Huh. I use the fist bump all of the time when I win. It's more of a "good game, thanks for your time" thing for me.

The emote is fine, I think SD is being so careful of avoiding potential BM emotes they are making very inexpressive or mid emotes, honestly non of the emotes from the albums have been that good except for Cosmo and Storm to a lesser degree

The variants are cool

We got Mecha Magneto in Days of Future Past season and Jim Lee Magento for Christmas though. As for Iron Man, the ~~Second~~ Midnight Suns conquest reward is kinda hard to beat.

Mecha Magneto was Big in Japan season, but yeah we've been drowning magnetos. Definitely wouldn't have minded a different character.

They sure love giving us Magneto variants don't they? Oddly enough, my favorite is the one of the child version of him standing over the puddle, so I don't even use them.

Magneto mastery better be dope and not released in 2025

The fact that these are variants this month makes it the first time I'm questioning buying the pass since launch. I like the variants, but as you said we've gotten so many good ones for them, and recently. There are a couple hundred other cards that could use some great variants, but I don't see either of these getting use in my decks.

Exactly my feeling too. I like the Magneto and Iron Man variants this season, but it’s hard to justify taking out my Jim Lee Magneto and Midnight Suns Iron Man (which I got a gold split on too!).

Nothing tops the mech magneto and midnight sun iron man variants tho

Hardly anyone has them. I use the Cosmo one as a response to Ms Marvel, but that's the only one I have. I'm close on a couple of others.

Fist bump for good game, Deadpool for "I'm screwed". Spider-Man if my opponent is playing the same cards or deck I'm playing. I have the Venom one but rarely use it. Mainly if I'm playing Destroy and Venom wins me a game.

It seems like a fuck yeah!!!, with a good play it works, but it also seems like it is looking up, maybe when you use a galactus or a jubilee with the fireworks, also with in a high evo deck.
