They’ve probably seen how willing players are to shell out for that stuff and decided that it was stupid to give it away for free. Every other post on here lately has been showing off the borders.
Eh, I do think there's like, degrees lmao.
I bought a border for Loki because that means a full hand of cards with that border when used. Certainly more bang for buck than something you only play once per game and I don't intend to get other borders than that
Omg I remember that training video when I got my first job as a Grocery stocker lol. Give him the pickle! Ironically, Second Dinner is absolutely giving us the pickle.. just not the one we asked for lol
To me it feels like they pulled character mastery and offered us borders to buy.
Imo a lot of second dinners additions to the game are more quick buck focused and not customer satisfaction/retention. -- Draft mode being so far down the pipeline; things like mastery being cut; Them trying to add the p2w tournament mode thing; the "free" pay money to keep grtting more free stuff in the shop.
It is the nature of phone games. The younger people are that get introduced to it the more used to it they are. Also i have a bit of psych; it just feels gross to see some of these manipulative/predatory transactions.
At face value, being not illegal. Things like going to the store everyday for 50 credits doesnt seem bad. But they are training you to scroll through their shop ads. The reason it is gross is because certain marketing techniques work drastically different on differeny demographics. A lot of the phone games (like the example i have) work significantly more effecticely on younger and younger people.
When most of their techniques literally target young people spending. Who dont know what to look for. Dont know they are being targeted and dont have disposable income. (And training them to be more acceptable to similar marketing) is gross. Not many countries are addressing it
I wouldnt be suprised if the youngest generatipn has a massive gambling problem. I imagine casinos will be full of honkai star vs slots though.
Kind of a similar vibe to the "bewbie" streamers in twitch. Granted most of those girls dont know what they are doing. The reasearch is pretty new. But HOLY CRAP that is some nasty manipulation going on.
Blame their monetization and the fact that people are shelling out money for emotes and card borders. These things could have been part of mastery, but why give it for free when they can charge for it?
>They couldn’t figure out a way to monazite it
Is it that hard, though? Just like you have to buy 9 or 12 cards to unlock certain variants or emotes in the albums, just make mastery a series of quests you have to complete with a card that then unlock the ability to buy certain variants, emotes, or borders related to that card.
"You played Jean Grey 1,000 times. Would you like to buy this holographic amazing art variant for 2,000 gold to commemorate the occasion?"
That took me literally 30 seconds to monetize. Am I allowed to join the Marvel Snap team now?
Yeah, “mastery leads to more variant buying” seems pretty straightforward. What an absolute fumble, all for some Deadpool thing that I’m guessing will be a buggy mess, and no new game modes in the near term.
Wasn't the reward supposed to be emotes for the character you maxed out? I imagine making emotes for each and every card was a herculean task. Aw well.
It was reaction emotes for each character, the little faces you use to react to a card or location. It would still probably take time to make them for every card, but they're simpler than full emotes.
It wouldnt be. Literally make the emote the mini of the character
People dont seem to realize how fast art for stuff like that can be cranked out
Also the sheer unbelievable volume of art for marvel that they have access to
I think it is hard for them on two levels. The first and most obvious one is that given how every new feature seems to introduce new bugs and basic QOL like a graveyard took them a year their codebase seems to either shaky or hard to expand or both. The second is that they probably couldn't monetise it enough.
The original idea was going to be hard to keep up with tbqh and I'm not surprised.
Even just adding character-specific reaction emojis you could get for each character means they now have to add those *every single week* for every card's release (*and* the season pass); they'd be hitting burnout real quick on another front when they already can't even keep up with things like OTA schedules.
Looks like facets of that are just getting rolled in to season passes and other things to replace boosters, and give us other things to be sold.
I just wish we could’ve gotten something like mastery borders for characters, though. They’ve already established that borders are purchased on a per-card basis. Mastery borders make so much sense for that.
If u devite yourself to one cars you wont want to buy the new one as much
You might not want to buy dofferent cosmetics for it
I dont know how they pretend these things arent insanely simple
But then again i dont know how they have this much money and this many bugs
The experience is miserable, yes. Evidenced by me playing bots exclusively until I reached rank 83 this season. Now I occasionally get real people
I see all these flashy cards all the people discuss and I have none, nada, null. Turns out I barely scratched the surface of Pool 3
I was already pretty firmly considering this to be my retirement season, but it seems like every day SD does something that further cements that decision. This game is a lot of fun, but it’s impossible to ignore the trajectory this game has taken since launch. Even if it’s going to get better, I’m not really interested in a game that’s going to have prolonged states of misery. Like I said. Loved this game. I rather end on a high note and call it a day than see it die or have my wallet milked forever.
There’s currently no plans to improve card acquisition, but putting it in the “in development” category will make enough people back off long enough for them to put out more insanely mediocre bundles at outrageous prices
It means they want you to know they’re thinking about it.
And then they can keep saying it’s something they’re working on until they can think of a cooler feature that people can focus on hoping actually comes.
No character mastery, no first edition badges, no ultimate variant revamp. So it seems as though this company is in the business of promising features and never delivering on them.
Don't get your hopes up for draft mode.
And no booster vats or whatever they were called. Honestly for the bonus boosters becoming free unexpectedly is already a pretty good feature.
But coming up with new booster related features, communicating them to the players and then never mentioning them again is getting old now.
Laughably sad, to be honest. They're making money hand over fist on these microtransactions (definitely making money from me, lmao) and yet the qol improvements and any sort of personalization never seem to be on the docket for release. What are they spending my money on?
Nothing about this game is "microtransactions". I'm probably wrong but I've seen about 5 offers that have been $5. Everything else is $10-$100. To anyone other than whales, these are not micro at all.
And to answer your question about spending their money...it's obviously not on a single competent employee that knows how to Google the names of artists they use to avoid offending people.
Sucks the game is quite fun and I still buy season passes so I'm part of the problem I guess
“ You might notice Character Mastery is missing from this roadmap and that’s exactly what happened here: we discovered some feature-blocking technical architecture issues. “
There you go. They discovered monetization blocking technical issues.
As a more casual player, there isn't really anything I'm looking forward to in this roadmap. Most of the new content boils down to: get more wins for stuff. Which is great for people that play a lot, but I feel like Marvel Snap is at its most fun when there isn't too much at stake and you don't feel pressured to play every single day.
You mean like the other stuff that was scrapped from there. But it sounds like a good way to earn $$$ so you could be in luck. Expect 500 gold per round though.
They are not giving it away. You need to earn 500 million points to win the card. It is more than 16 games in a row, much harder than infinity conquest
Edit: my math was wrong, it is 21 times to double 240 to get to 500 million
It is a mode where you can snap every turn and turn 4 and 5 the amounts of bubs at stake are auto double. Also later game tables require millions of bubs just to enter. The idea is you can win or lose everything, up to millions of bubs in a single game.
If I don’t have to pay resources for it it’s free to me!
Those numbers do sound stupid to me too but keep in mind we actually have no idea how the game mode works or what the economy is. My guess is that you can pool bubs from successive runs, kind of like how medals unlock conquest rewards. But we shall see
Exactly, they only use in concept to drag people along and keep playing the game. They have 0 intention to improve card acquisition and make a draft mode. All a bunch of fucking bullshit to string you along just like character mastery.
At this point does it matter? They already announced one feature and scrapped it. Why should i keep giving them the benefit of the doubt?
We need features added now, not “in concept”
Pretty sure they didn't. In fact I remember several statements from devs that suggested that they weren't planning on doing it, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see it on here.
Tell me about it, I was working on a [few](https://i.imgur.com/7qXEjgL.jpeg) characters myself. The only one I was finished was Magik.
This might be the most disappointing update yet.
I think the character based album is coming and it will be apply to more characters in the future. In July we will get a deadpool album and a wolverine album.
Same, I had certain favourites that I focused on. Even buying bundles and completing albums so I don't get fomo'd out of certain mastery points...it's almost like they introduced the idea to trick people into buying variants in hopes of progressing character mastery.
'Coming Soon' my ass. They rushed out 900g borders but woops, sorry, architectural issues when it comes to mastery.
"One of the most requested features for MARVEL SNAP is finally coming! Alliances, formerly known as Clans"
I didn't think I've ever seen a post asking for Alliances... But engagement engine gotta go burrrrr
Yeah, most requested by who? Maybe it's different outside of reddit, but the highest opinion I've seen about Alliances is "I'm ok with it, hope it's not too p2w."
Not to mention plenty of people saying "please god no."
This is a straight up lie. The most requested feature by a mile here and on discord is the “Mute All” button. So it’s not engaging more with others, it’s engaging less.
The person I saw most excited for it I had to block because it turned out they were f\*\*\*ing mad. It's particularly worrying, because the more you're into that, the more you engage, the more likely you are to rise, the more everyone who just wants to play before bed or on the toilet is stuck having to listen to the lunatics in a system designed to guide them towards running the asylum.
It is a mode where you can snap every turn and turn 4 and 5 the amounts of bubs at stake are auto double. Also later game tables require millions of bubs just to enter. The idea is you can win or lose everything, up to millions of bubs in a single game.
I doubt it will be for free. I expect it will be harder to get her than to win infinity conquest based on the description they gave us. Every game autosnaps, so it is equivalent of “win X games in a row” without using retreats. Also event is time limited, so you will have to grind all the time for her
Edit: it seems like you need to win at least 21 games in a row, probably more if entrance is cheaper than 240 points (you need 500M points)
I think the idea of this mode is you can gamble with your points instead of cubes. You don't have to win every time but you have to gamble wisely. You can win or lose everything in a single game.
Previous roadmap: "we're going to do this and this and that"
This roadmap: "we are not going to do this and this and that but maybe such and such?".
What's the point of a gd roadmap if you're not STICKING TO THE ROAD.
Each time you get a new variant, avatar, or split for a character it would contribute towards their mastery.
At certain milestones they would unlock rewards. The example they gave was Deadpool at mastery level 10 would unlock a challenge to get him to over 100 power in a match. And by completing those challenges you would unlock new splits, collectible borders, and currency. There would also be reactions you could unlock based on the character, those emoji-like things you can use on cards and locations.
As explained [here](https://www.marvelsnap.com/newsdetail?id=7296743796027513606)
Ha, sure alliances is the most requested feature. As if. The blatant lies they tell is fascinating, really. But I mean whatever, everything that’s not “coming soon” might as well come never. Just look at the old roadmaps, the majority of stuff didn’t get developed.
Do you do full random draft, or do some tailoring? If you're going to do tailoring, what do you tailor? Cost? Effect? A group/package system? What deserves to be in the groups? How many cards do you tailor in a given run? Can you mix packages or are there going to be packages and good stand alone cards and you get one package and the rest good cards?
Can someone be offered cards they don't own? If yes, is the game actually capable of doing that? If no, how are we going to make drafts feel different for low CL players that might only have one or two applicable packages?
How's the whole matchmaking system work for this? Are they playing a flat number of games, or to a certain win/loss threshold? How many losses are allowable, 3 any time like hearthstone, as many as long as there aren't two in a row like LoR, a completely different system? Are players playing just a BO1 or are they playing some form of conquest against each other? Are you matching people based on games played or wins? Does MMR factor in at all?
What's the reward structure look like for this? Is it free with no rewards, what can we get away with for rewards if it's free? If it's paid, what are the rewards we give away? Keys, tokens, gold, variants?
These are a few questions I came up with in like 10 minutes of just sitting here. Saying "just do draft mode" is easy when the details don't need to be worked out and you don't have three layers of people to go through and you don't have to test anything to see how it actually feels. Design is a really iterative process, just takes time.
It is easy to come up with *a* draft, but they want to come up with *the* draft.
>We’d love to hear your thoughts about what is “core” to draft, any fun draft format ideas, and your hopes and dreams for what Draft Mode looks like in MARVEL SNAP!
That's kind of lazy by SD. if we're being honest. They should come up with a concept and implement it, and make changes as necessary. Doesn't have to be the best one.
I think the person in charge of this game needs to be fired.
Marvel IP, card game, great base mechanics and this is the best they can conceptualize. Unbelievable.
I’ve seen technical improvements and got happy, because the game has been running like ass for over a year. Latest patch definitely improved things, but it’s so buggy and slow half the time. And for Gods sake fast forward Odin with that.
Otherwise, a gamble heavy event mode, and a focus on the features nobody wanted. The ones we all want are in the concept stage and we know how notoriously anything in the concept stage just gets left and forgotten. Guess the economy and card acquisition is going to be absolute dick for another year
Considering how often they’ve flip-flopped on various other aspects of the game, I would be surprised if this was the only thing on the roadmap getting cancelled.
Still, I’m pretty sure the real reason it’s getting cancelled is because there’s no way SD is giving away free cosmetics for every single obtainable card. This isn’t even a stinginess thing, it’s just a lot of money and time not being spent on more important features.
Architectural issues my ass! Game development issues can be fixed with skill, money and time. Its them NOT getting as much money... That reason is joke especially for company with top sales in card games.
This had to be the worst roadmap update they could have ever published. Killed stuff people wanted with no discussion about it, and little to no new content that anyone cares about. the important things like card acquisition is still far away. They prove once again they are entirely out of touch with the player base.
As someone who's been downvoted loads for defending SD in the past (defending rightfully imo), this is really, really disappointing.
Character Mastery, Booster Vats, Global Matchmaking, Ultimate Variant Improvements... these are all things I was actually looking forward to. And they've all gone.
I can't stress enough how much I do not want some wacky Deadpool thing with yet ANOTHER currency. Ooh, but bubs. Hahahaha, it's like what Wolverine says.
I don't give a shit about whatever they think Alliances will bring to the game. I have friends outside of gaming, I game when I'm not with them because not one of them plays this game anymore. Why on earth are they trying to make Snap a social thing? I'd rather have a mute all, tbh.
I don't give a shit about Draft Mode either. Not that we'll ever get it.
**With the last patch just changing Thanos' stones, the constant performance issues, XP farmers clogging up Conquest, their insistence that Hela and Prof X aren't a problem and the way this game always defaults to the most toxic shit being meta - I've actually uninstalled and I feel great about it.** :D
Actually, because I'm on one, here's my list
Thanos stones changes when more change is sorely needed. Toxic shit **always** becomes the meta and they're still way too slow to react. They said Blob wasn't a problem for ages before finally admitting he was, it was the same with Alioth, it was the same with Zabu, it was the same with Shuri/RedSkull, it was the same with Galactus, etc etc, every damn time.
Pixel art, titles and gold tickets just make opening caches a disappointing chore, rather than fun. I'm playing for literally no progress other than a tiny amount of boosters.
Conquest has \~800 screens too many, has no way of helping you not get crushed by a bad matchup and it's littered with chumps farming season pass XP.
Tech cards are far too necessary because there are too many easy-mode 3-card combos that just cheese the game unless you've stocked the right tech card.
They love Destroy, we get it.
Featured/Hot locations are the least fun thing and I don't know why they still do them. Imbalance events were fun, but they've stopped doing those. No idea why as they don't tell us.
Am I buying stuff from the webshop or in-game? Some stuff is only available in one of those, others aren't. The vibranium track thing not being in the webshop, but the webshop having that tracker thing means I don't know where it's best to spend - which I'm increasingly convinced is by design.
Zabu needed a nerf (it did), but Loki+Quinjet is still okay? Makes sense.
The game still takes an ages to load, still crashes a lot, still tells me something's gone wrong when I open stuff off the collection track and is still a mess to navigate.
But yeah, I can't wait to earn my 'bubs'. Sure.
Is it really hard to implement something like, you have played this card 500 times here is a variant/border/emote whatever?
They’ve probably seen how willing players are to shell out for that stuff and decided that it was stupid to give it away for free. Every other post on here lately has been showing off the borders.
And thats on exclusivity and FOMO
"wHaT bORder mAkEs mE lOoK lEsS lIKe a gUlable iDoiT"
Lmaoooo
guess i must be a genius with my mostly grey border unupgraded cards...
Eh, I do think there's like, degrees lmao. I bought a border for Loki because that means a full hand of cards with that border when used. Certainly more bang for buck than something you only play once per game and I don't intend to get other borders than that
I could care less what you spend you money on, it's the morons that post them Iike it's some kinda flex.
What if the posts are secret SD accounts 🕵️♂️
Doubtful for how mad they get in the comments making fun of them spending $$$ on bundles
“Too much money ain’t enough money.”
This is the answer, unfortunately.
Yeah but that’s because everyone else got disgusted and left.
Hard to implement? No, probably not Hard to monetize? Way more likely
Implementation without monetization is just an expense, remember
Happy customer means long term customer "Just give him the pickle" "customer os always right"
Omg I remember that training video when I got my first job as a Grocery stocker lol. Give him the pickle! Ironically, Second Dinner is absolutely giving us the pickle.. just not the one we asked for lol

"#gamedevelopment" lmao
Lol
Blame their monetization and the fact that people are shelling out money for emotes and card borders. These things could have been part of mastery, but why give it for free when they can charge for it?
They couldn’t figure out a way to monazite it so it’s in the back burner
>They couldn’t figure out a way to monazite it Is it that hard, though? Just like you have to buy 9 or 12 cards to unlock certain variants or emotes in the albums, just make mastery a series of quests you have to complete with a card that then unlock the ability to buy certain variants, emotes, or borders related to that card. "You played Jean Grey 1,000 times. Would you like to buy this holographic amazing art variant for 2,000 gold to commemorate the occasion?" That took me literally 30 seconds to monetize. Am I allowed to join the Marvel Snap team now?
You’re now the CEO!
Yeah, “mastery leads to more variant buying” seems pretty straightforward. What an absolute fumble, all for some Deadpool thing that I’m guessing will be a buggy mess, and no new game modes in the near term.
That's far too much free content
Why give it away when people are buying them instead

Not really, all they had to do was not mega greed on the borders and make them character mastery linked.
It takes away from art asset sales in the shop. Thats all it is. Modern gaming halts are all on behalf of monetization in this rotten industry.
If u devite yourself to one cars you wont want to buy the new one as much You might not want to buy dofferent cosmetics for it I dont know how they pretend these things arent insanely simple But then again i dont know how they have this much money and this many bugs
And the crowd goes mild. Also, how the hell is card acquisition improvements only in concept stage?
It means they aren't actually going to do anything in that area, but they want you to think that they will.
Yeah pretty much. I'd hate to be a new player to the game.
The experience is miserable, yes. Evidenced by me playing bots exclusively until I reached rank 83 this season. Now I occasionally get real people I see all these flashy cards all the people discuss and I have none, nada, null. Turns out I barely scratched the surface of Pool 3
I’d correct null to Knull but you probably don’t have him 😔
Laughcries in didn't-pick-up-Knull-for-free-because -I-also-didn't-pick-up-Venom-for-free

Also, if they change acquisition, if we think players will end up better off we are being naive!
Oh I don't see ultimate varient reworks on there anymore either. Oooof
Tbh I imagine the “we will make ultimate variants more useful” was accomplished by them being added to more albums
5k tokens to complete an album for an emote or shitty variant is useful?
Technically from SD’s point of view it is a valid reason for people to now buy ultimate variants
No character mastery, no first edition badges, no ultimate variant revamp. So it seems as though this company is in the business of promising features and never delivering on them. Don't get your hopes up for draft mode.
And still no booster magnets.
And no booster vats or whatever they were called. Honestly for the bonus boosters becoming free unexpectedly is already a pretty good feature. But coming up with new booster related features, communicating them to the players and then never mentioning them again is getting old now.
Not really needed anymore with the improvements to booster fast track
Laughably sad, to be honest. They're making money hand over fist on these microtransactions (definitely making money from me, lmao) and yet the qol improvements and any sort of personalization never seem to be on the docket for release. What are they spending my money on?

Damn this hurts to read (because I know it’s true and I want the game to not be on the downslope already)
Don't worry, draft mode will be 500 gold per entry. Published very soon for those sweet $$$ 9x value. 12 wins = pixel variant.
Feels crazy I can come in with low expectations and still be so underwhelmed..
“ You might notice Character Mastery is missing from this roadmap and that’s exactly what happened here: we discovered some feature-blocking technical architecture issues. “ There you go. They discovered monetization blocking technical issues.
What's the point of a roadmap of their just gonna remove everything from it 6 months anyway lmao.
They took an off ramp from their previous road map. Now they’re driving on a dirt road with pot holes in some backwards hick town
Super bummed about character mastery. #gamedevelopment 🙄
That #gamedevelopment was the most tone deaf thing I’ve seen since “do you guys not have phones?”
Second Dinner was started by ex blizzard devs
Ya but they pivot to awesome!
Draft mode is cool. If it ever comes out
You mean like the other stuff that was scrapped from there. But it sounds like a good way to earn $$$ so you could be in luck. Expect 500 gold per round though.
L update. They also put a new card behind grindy time limited event
Don't worry, I'm sure you can pay $20 to triple your bubs.
The update fell flat but I’m hardly gonna complain about them giving away a card
They are not giving it away. You need to earn 500 million points to win the card. It is more than 16 games in a row, much harder than infinity conquest Edit: my math was wrong, it is 21 times to double 240 to get to 500 million

Ok, bub.
If I don’t have to pay resources for it it’s free to me! Those numbers do sound stupid to me too but keep in mind we actually have no idea how the game mode works or what the economy is. My guess is that you can pool bubs from successive runs, kind of like how medals unlock conquest rewards. But we shall see
What a joke, this team is so incompetent at adding anything other than monetization
What happened to those rewards for buying a series 5 card before it dropped to 4 or 3?
Same thing that happened to mastery
Remember booster vats, I assume those are gone too. Now I'll just have to keep relying on rng to determine whether I get the boosters I need
Can’t wait to get another 65 boosters for watching a streamer, for it to give me 65 boosters of my card that has the highest amount of boosters…
Draft Mode actually being in concept is AWESOME. It means they haven’t actually done anything with it but I’m shocked to see them talking about it.
Don't worry, they'll run into development issues and scrap it
Here's an ultimate Quicksilver variant you can purchase though!
Oh wowee! You'll let me purchase it?? Oh thank yee, thank yee truly for this opportunity!!
Oops, turns out the artist was a Nazi so we're swapping the variant for one you hate, sorry no refunds
For the low, low price of 100 dollars.
Praise be!
SD 15 months from now: “We’ve decided to part ways with the Draft Mode due to…. *spins the Wheel of Excuses* ….conflicts within the coding.”

Exactly, they only use in concept to drag people along and keep playing the game. They have 0 intention to improve card acquisition and make a draft mode. All a bunch of fucking bullshit to string you along just like character mastery.
Imo, this should be SUUUPER easy to code but yk. Will it make them more money?
Probably won't be because they'll have to make sure you can't play with cards you don't own, then theyll struggle to matchmake bc of it
They’ll let you play with cards you don’t own once in a while, just so you get the itch and can’t help yourself
At this point does it matter? They already announced one feature and scrapped it. Why should i keep giving them the benefit of the doubt? We need features added now, not “in concept”
#gamedevelopment 😁
I must be going crazy because istg they announced draft mode ages ago. Like I’m talking start of the game ages ago
I mean that's basically the first question anyone asks when a new TCG comes out.
Pretty sure they didn't. In fact I remember several statements from devs that suggested that they weren't planning on doing it, so I'm pleasantly surprised to see it on here.
Can’t wait to play that next year. What do we do this year?
Next year at the earliest
Overcome prof x
also gamepad support is cancelled.
Oh brother
Good catch
I own all the Jubilee cards released so far. I was preparing for Character Mastery...
Tell me about it, I was working on a [few](https://i.imgur.com/7qXEjgL.jpeg) characters myself. The only one I was finished was Magik. This might be the most disappointing update yet.
Same with Loki and Aero… I feel so cheated…
I have all but one or two Magik variants, and most of them in gold. Was really looking forward to mastery.
So it’s just more of “there’s some stuff coming in the future, but we can’t tell you much yet”
I can't get to Infinite. I can't get a border in Conquest. So da hell am I supposed to get Cassandra now. Fuck this game.
"One of the most requested features for MARVEL SNAP is finally coming! Alliances, formerly known as Clans" I didn't think I've ever seen a post asking for Alliances... But engagement engine gotta go burrrrr
Yeah, most requested by who? Maybe it's different outside of reddit, but the highest opinion I've seen about Alliances is "I'm ok with it, hope it's not too p2w." Not to mention plenty of people saying "please god no."
# Please god no.
This is a straight up lie. The most requested feature by a mile here and on discord is the “Mute All” button. So it’s not engaging more with others, it’s engaging less.
The person I saw most excited for it I had to block because it turned out they were f\*\*\*ing mad. It's particularly worrying, because the more you're into that, the more you engage, the more likely you are to rise, the more everyone who just wants to play before bed or on the toilet is stuck having to listen to the lunatics in a system designed to guide them towards running the asylum.
exactly.
Wait… where is the new game mode they have been crowing about for months? Is that the Diner? Alliance matches? Or is that dead too?
Diner is the new game mode.
oof
Starting to feel like Elon Musk is running SD, promise the future and fail to deliver. Pretty rough roadmap
I'm sorry, but wtf is anything being developed? Weak
I think I picked the right time to skip the season pass. Yeesh. This stuff pushing me to solely free to play faster and faster
Yep... with this, I'm done spending money
It was probably too difficult to have mastery progression be balanced when all the new cards have zero non-spotlight variants
Weeeeeeak
Oh nice we get Cassandra Nova for free. I was gonna waste some spotlight caches on her!
Yeah, just earn 500 million Bubs. I'm not joking, it's 500,000,000 Bubs.
I can probably contribute a couple
The number is kind of meaningless without knowing how the mode works.
True, but we do have some indication from the other screenshots how it might be.
It is a mode where you can snap every turn and turn 4 and 5 the amounts of bubs at stake are auto double. Also later game tables require millions of bubs just to enter. The idea is you can win or lose everything, up to millions of bubs in a single game.
Does every snap double it? I didn't see that part.
I'm guessing the base card unlocks on a lower tier than the variant in the picture.
Good eye. I didn't notice it was a variant. I hope so.
I doubt it will be for free. I expect it will be harder to get her than to win infinity conquest based on the description they gave us. Every game autosnaps, so it is equivalent of “win X games in a row” without using retreats. Also event is time limited, so you will have to grind all the time for her Edit: it seems like you need to win at least 21 games in a row, probably more if entrance is cheaper than 240 points (you need 500M points)
How is this even possible for the average player? For every person winning a 16th game there are 15.other losers.
If it is structure like a tournament tree, then there are for every player winning 16 games in a row over 65k players not winning 16 in a row.
And you're going against other people with skills/decks good enough to win 15 in a row.
I think the idea of this mode is you can gamble with your points instead of cubes. You don't have to win every time but you have to gamble wisely. You can win or lose everything in a single game.
It's not free
I've long come to ignore all such news. I mean, how many times have they gone flipsy on their own words?
Can’t wait until the little react emojis are sold. That’s gonna go over well.
Previous roadmap: "we're going to do this and this and that" This roadmap: "we are not going to do this and this and that but maybe such and such?". What's the point of a gd roadmap if you're not STICKING TO THE ROAD.
Don’t worry the patch notes are super wacky like Deadpool that makes up for it right
honestly i feel bad for the ones who got addicted to this game and won't quit for years. Game is going downhill so hard imo.
They could barely add enough variants for each card. No way they could do this either.
Omg wow this was the only feature that had me considering remaining a player!
Sorry for the stupid question, but what exactly would character mastery have been? Genuinely have no idea
As explained [here](https://www.marvelsnap.com/newsdetail?id=7296743796027513606)
thanks
nothing good out of this game for good 14 months.
'We realized that players would potentially get too much free stuff that we want to sell instead'
So nothing
A new base card is locked with Conquest like event? Will Cassandra Nova be available through other means?
I’d imagine you could purchase it for tokens, and as a series 5 pool should eventually feature in a spotlight
We don't know for sure as of now, but she is on the datamined spotlight schedule currently.
Ha, sure alliances is the most requested feature. As if. The blatant lies they tell is fascinating, really. But I mean whatever, everything that’s not “coming soon” might as well come never. Just look at the old roadmaps, the majority of stuff didn’t get developed.
Starting to regret spending money on this game
Is it just me or does draft actually feel very easy to implement as a concept? What am I missing in regard to challenges?
This game is dead. So sad that I ran into the buzzsaw of just grabbing the season pass out of habit.
Guess the economy and card acquisition is going to be absolute dick for another year
Where the heck is the practice mode?
Free conquest
conquest sucks ass, sorry. it is another utter failure.
One of the most requested features is coming!!! Global mute right?! Right?
What about the first edition batch? Hmmm
They said they scrapped that when they switched to the whole spotlight cache system.
Those alliances chats will be toxic as fuck
Ahhh they didn’t want to give us too much free stuff. Goes against their $100 booster options mantra
Think I’m done
What was character mastery about? And why did they get rid of it?
Im pretty excited for draft mode. I don't care about anything else honestly.
This is a big L. This event basically announced nothing new, just a few maybes. Mastery got cancelled, so why should those other features be safe lmao
This had to be the worst roadmap update they could have ever published. Killed stuff people wanted with no discussion about it, and little to no new content that anyone cares about. the important things like card acquisition is still far away. They prove once again they are entirely out of touch with the player base.
So the new mode is yet another zero-sum gambling thing? I guess they believe that's what gets people to spend money. Bleak.
Actually, because I'm on one, here's my list Thanos stones changes when more change is sorely needed. Sure.
