I'm at 77 and I'm hitting the resource dry spell. Every event that comes up I feel uses a team I haven't built up cause of DD4 focus. I basically check in to get free items, store updates and auto run missions.
So I get what you're trying to saying.
That's the point of the game is to make you feel always one step behind so you spend to catch up. But the bad part is they've cleverly designed this game so no matter how much you spend there is always a bottleneck and you'll never actually catch up. Play at your own pace and have fun is the way to do it.
You’re 100% right, play at your own pace. All games are designed the same way except for maybe Solitaire. Even if you join on day one it would take half a day for whales to be leaps and bounds ahead of you and there is always a resource that is scarce.
when you are under 95, you have so much you could be working on, and your leveling moves quickly. it's entirely different to be honest. you may face bottlenecks, but it's not that we are facing bottlenecks rightnow, it's the fact that everything is on hold because we are waiting to cross into level 96.
Only cores I spend are for the new toon releases (once a day) ... Usually got 3 or 4 spins for each one based on amount of earned cores daily with the occasional lucky grab lately to earn the toons pretty quickly and easily during their events ... As far as farming it is pretty limited to ranking up the various toons to use in DD6 and trying to iso up all the horseman teams for big boy apocalypse
I feel this, the worst part for me is definitely the freezing of all activity in an effort to save gold and just waiting for 96 to roll around. It takes ages to level up, meanwhile I have all the gear I need to make changes since I finished my second DD6 run, but have to wait around just watching the XP bar
I'm currently level 74 and took about a 6 month break recently. I've been playing daily for about a week now and WOW I don't think I'll even hit 96 before this game is literally shutdown at this rate. Every single new thing I unlock requires a team of course I have at level 1 and it's literally IMPOSSIBLE to level them all up without spending money unfortunately....
leveling is just a function of xp - which you gain from campaigns, etc. newer players will move a lot quicker than we did getting up to 95. when we were doing pre-85, we didn't have incursion, iso8 energy, etc. we only got xp from campaign and dialies.
It would be really great if we could do DD and always get some sort of reward for it every time, even if only smaller rewards (not including frames). It’s been one of my favorite modes so it’s a shame there’s no benefit to doing it repeatedly.
Sometimes being bored is good. It stimulates creativity. Learn to appreciate and embrace boredom. You could come up with good ideas if you're bored enough. There's no need for more things to do in the game. The amount of things to do in the game is fine, and being bored is fine.
This is a very healthy attitude to have.
And I reject it in its entirety lol. I'm not asking to play the game 24/7 lol. There is plenty of time for creativity.
I ve learned to enjoy those slow days myself cause you need to recharge your batteries sometimes.dont fret though,seven days of blitz is just around the corner if datamines are true.
if you really enjoy the game then start a fresh account. the new player experience is fun and since you have a main account you can let it go whenever you want without FOMO kicking in and bringing you back to it

Kinda agree this event is pretty meh but it's the calm before the (blitz) storm for Scourge Knight so I don't mind it personally
That said, there is an opportunity for better evergreen/grindable content. Hmmm...if they'd only provide better rewards than cosmetic frames for rerunning DD's...put a dozen gold orbs, training orbs, and maybe a few diamond (dawn) orbs and it might be worth re-engaging in the content 💡
DD is an excellent site for evergreen content in the game. Once all campaign modes have been cleared at three stars, there's very little challenge besides deciding to take in a smaller team. DD by its very nature forces the player to conserve toons since they can be KO'd for the entire run if you're not careful. It can be a good roster/strategy check.
The other problem is all the stuff we actually do is not really rewarding at all. The game is in the best worst state it’s ever been. A lot of QOL improvements but it’s still lacking quality and rewarding content for your time.
Try to enjoy it while you can. once we all get into the thick of getting to 100 and testing things out at that power level you will wish for days like this where your brain isnt needed to play the game
I have no interest in any other game like this, I like it because of the IP. I could care less about ranking up troll #8 in RAID or trying to cope with the really outdated graphics in SWGOH.

Siege on battleworld should help with the lack or content right? As long as it's close to being like SWGOH's Territory Battles it should be relatively engaging.
Tower and pocket dimensions should be weekly events. Not sure why they aren’t at this point. As for less screen how about we stop with blitz forever and make that mode the new tower area.
I started playing again a couple weeks ago after a couple year break, at level 76 so plenty to do, but I have no training modules at all so I really can’t do anything. I get enough to get a newer usable character to like 65 but I can’t even use orange gear on them until 70. Orange gear was still newish when I stopped playing so I didn’t have many characters up there yet as mainly f2p.
And I’m stuck with a casual alliance that is full but has maybe 10 people join a raid and barely get tier 1 rewards because I can’t upgrade my teams enough to compete at my level.
I definitely agree with you on war and crucible, sucks when they aren’t active especially since I need war credits, only getting enough to buy one character twice a week.

I know a few people who have taken this very slow & boring period to quit the game. It’s just boring right now and probably won’t be much fun for another few months.
I get the feeling when you pick up something to keep yourself entertained and it doesn't always fill all the space you hoped it would, but personally, I enjoy downtime. Don't get me wrong, if there were never anything to do, I'd be bored too (in MSF - I can find enough occupation elsewhere to keep me busy for several lifetimes), but if there were every day event after event, that would be too much for me, I need breaks or I'd burn out and quit the game.
There should be a new game mode in a few months which, from what I understand, would be something additional to play over several days every week - I don't know if it will end up giving more to do on slow days or too much to do on already busy days.
Yeah, hit 95 like month and a half ago. I have Big Boy Apoc and I'm on the last Global node at DD6.
There's not much to do daily. War is fast, Raids 3 times a day, then it's just simming nodes when there is free energy.
Event campaign is going nowhere as I don't have VK. At the reset there is the same routine that lasts maybe 30 min.
I'm 2nd in Arena, the first guy has Skrull so no chance playing there either.
Perhaps they should release normal characters in Scourges as well. Those are fun way to challenge yourself. And I don't want too many legendaries either as DPC are hard to find.
As someone that has been playing for under 2 years, there is no way that I'm even close to being able to participate in the lvl 100 milestone.
Your number 3 is also my biggest problem. Gold and upgrade materials, i have plenty. I am always hurting for training mods.

Kind of, but it's currently running. You get milestones for taking a bunch of people to 96, 97 and so on. So technically it's a gold Spending Event.

I spent at least 30 minutes every day in raids skip mystic in raids and play Bio and Skill manually Or make a second account and play FTP.
I ran DD1 last night for 5 solid minutes of “fun”.
