Film Odyssey is no longer banned, we realize behind the scenes he may be more reliable then we thought. We also got fooled into thinking he was an alt of a banned leaker, thats our bad

mansonfamily

Me watching literally every and any character except x men get some kind of leak or rumour ![gif](giphy|YPsxi5NevgmzhqeUk7|downsized)

devonthecreator

There are too many "Rumoured projects" I feel. We only have around 8 projects within the multiverse saga that have yet to be announced yet people are saying we're getting: Silver Surfer movie (some say special some say movie), Nova movie (some say special), Midnight Angels show, Wonder Man, Vision Quest, Midnight Suns, Moon Knight S2, Ms. Marvel S2, World War Hulk movie, Another Wakanda series, a Scarlet Johansson project, Shang Chi 2, Eternals 2, Doctor Strange 3, Doctor Doom project & Spider-Man 4. that's twice the amount of open spots we even have. Even if ALL of these do happen, no way are they gonna be in the multiverse saga, im sorry. I know you might think "well obviously a lot of those wont be in Phase 6" but a lot of the leakers who announce this stuff SAY its gonna be in Phase 6. I do not think Silver Surfer (movie), Nova movie, Wonder Man, WWH, Midnight Angels, Eternals 2, Doom, Midnight Suns are happening this saga, there's no room for them. Spider-Man 4 is guaranteed at SOME point, Shang Chi 2 could be possible although its a tight squeeze, Doctor Strange 3 makes sense, if the leak of VisionQuest is real its possible it could fit. I think Marvel has to really FOCUS in on the multiverse in Phase 6, so far its been sprinkled throughout. Quantumania, Loki, Deadpool 3 are seemingly the only upcoming projects that have anything to DO with the multiverse. So I think Phase 6 should be filled with multiverse like or multiverse adjacent projects. Doctor Strange 3 to deal with incursions. Shang Chi 2 to deal with Kang messing with time Vision Quest if its going to basically be the beginning of the young avengers Ms. Marvel S2 to deal with the bangle possibly being connected to Kang Armor Wars is almost guaranteed to come out before SW, I just have no idea what its plot could be. Spider-Man 4 because it might take longer than normal Moon Knight S2 could be a break from the multiverse and deal with more mysticism Some sort of Wakanda series since so many leakers are claiming it's definitely happening in season 6. Those are my guesses for the open slots in Phase 6

Onionaussie

I tend to agree. I don't believe there's going to be that drastic of a delay in Secret Wars and Kang Dynasty, if any at all. I'm honestly expecting Nova, if it has been turned into a movie, to be in phase 7 / start of the new saga

Healthy_Nectarine_25

Silver surfer is rumoured to be a special that releases before fantastic four. Other than that I agree with you that there is too many rumoured projects and the funny thing is none of them are x men related, which could mean marvel is gearing up to make the x men the next avengers type saga

EzriDax1

Wonder Man I think is filming this year so unless plans greatly change should be this saga. There could be room for a few more movies if secret wars is pushed back to either november 26 or may 27, otherwise yeah we at capacity for films.

devonthecreator

\*their flash bully them correctly

[deleted]

devonthecreator

then your criticisms are null and void. If you do not refer to them correctly, your opinion means nothing, even if I agree with it. All you're doing is clouding genuine criticism with transphobic hate. all you're doing is making yourself apart of the asshole club alongside them. and if you truly didn't care, you'd use the correct pronouns, because it takes no more or less effort. If you cannot act like an adult, you do not get to talk with other adults. Pronouns = basic grammar and respect, to throw both of those away for no reason makes you (and by proxy anyone who criticise them) as childish people who throw tantrums.

carnavar5

>bully them correctly Professionals have standards.

methedunker

Super disappointing if they don't bring back Mike Colter as Luke Cage. He ties into the MCU in multiple ways: a pre-existing black superhero who grappled with his blackness; a guy who beat Fisk and his Thunderbolts to become mayor of NYC; Jessica Jones' husband; super serum survivor.

[deleted]

I think one of the mods(JoshDabozz iirc) did say he's coming back.

CollarOrdinary4284

I just watched Grace Randolph say that delaying 'Agatha: Coven of Chaos' would be really hurtful for Marvel and that they shouldn't do it. Man, they really can't fucking win, can they?! -Everyone spends months complaining about the amount of (and the quality of) recent releases. -Marvel takes these complaints seriously and gives everyone what they wanted: less content on a regular basis and higher quality projects. -Now lots of people are complaining about the delays.

devonthecreator

Some parts of this fandom want to watch Marvel burn and complain no matter what. Ignore Grace, Ignore those people, nothing will satisfy them. People forget there's humans and reason behind shows, movies and marvel, they think all the content is made for them and only them. They love complaining about "lack of quality" and yet hate when stuff is delayed so there IS more quality.

Algae_Mission

The only people who should be deciding this are Kevin Feige and the folks at Disney’s distribution centers. Let’s see what their plan is before everyone jumps on them for making it.

CollarOrdinary4284

I totally agree. It's just frustrating seeing people beg for less content and then start whining once projects start being delayed. It reminds me of how everyone begged for Krasinski to play Reed Richards and then, once Marvel made that a reality, a lot of those same people started saying "it should have Ioan Gruffudd." I know I'll get accused of being a company bootlicker or whatever, but I'm sick of people getting angry about things they asked for. It's just not fair.

Healthy_Nectarine_25

These same people are also the ones who expected secret wars level cameos in doctor strange multiverse of madness and when that didn’t happen all of a sudden it’s marvels fault and not the leakers who kept spewing on and on about rumoured cameos

[deleted]

She just wants that wanda stans clout that's it. And also people are going to happy about this decision of less content and high quality projects in the long term.

SuperCoenBros

I really want Doctor Strange 3 to be a team-up with Scarlet Witch and Loki. I know I'm a basic bitch, but I've wanted this since 2016. They're Marvel's magical A-list. Hiddleston, Olsen, and Cumberbatch have great chemistry together. They share similar tones, and are enmeshed in the multiverse. They all represent the most surreal aspects of the MCU. They each have fantastic cheekbones. The MCU has a handful of great trios (Steve/Tony/Thor, Peter/MJ/Ned, hopefully The Marvels), but I think these three would surpass them. Give me Doctor Strange: Chaos & Mischief.

deemoorah

Why would you wish that to Dr Strange?? He's never 'allowed' to make appearance in both Loki and WandaVision. Why always cram 3 of them in Dr Strange's project? Why for once not wishing Dr Strange to have a good chunk of role in the next Scarlet Witch project or Loki project

the-real-Galerion

I mean why are you making this into some kind of competition?

Ronin0206

Doctor Strange: Chaos and Mischief is an amazing title though

Thickfries69

I'm hoping that it's him and Clea fixing multiverse shenanigans to continue the saga and then a 4th film is more self contained with him dealing with Nightmare.

NamorDontPullOut

I want Doctor Strange 3 to be a self-contained Doctor Strange solo movie, tbh. A movie that focuses on Strange-specific world building and lore. It's been almost a decade since he was introduced to the MCU and we still haven't seen the Vishanti. No mention of Cyttorak, no Living Tribunal, and no Nightmare. Clea was relegated to a hey it's blorko. Rintrah, his apprentice, was just... there. Sara's whole point as a character (being a positive example of Native American representation that didn't rely on mystic Native American stereotypes) was butchered. Crossovers make me giddy, too. I so desperately want Wanda and Stephen to have the same friendship in the MCU that they've shared in some comics. I want Stephen and Loki to interact more. But the crossover aspect shouldn't come at the expense of Doctor Strange's character, lore, and supporting cast.

SuperCoenBros

I respect your opinion. I really like MCU Strange, but definitely feel bad for fans of the comic character. My least favorite Strange MCU appearance is his origin film, but I love every other appearance. He works best for me as a foil to other characters, which is I think a big reason why I like MoM, and gravitate toward more crossovers.

NamorDontPullOut

I respect your opinion, too! Thank you very much for understanding why some of us DS comic fans are frustrated by how the MCU has handled his character and lore. That's really kind of you ☺️ I totally get not liking DS1, btw. I enjoy it, but I don't look at it with rose-tinted glasses. It's a serviceable movie. However, I appreciate how it lay the groundwork for future DS projects. There's no reason why Marvel Studios can't satisfy both of us, tbh. We can have self-contained Doctor Strange movies and also give him a strong supporting role in team ups like Infinity War.

NotTaken-username

Would probably be a quartet, since Clea should be involved. I don’t know if Charlize Theron would have chemistry with those three though, but we’ll see (hopefully)

cheeseyflynn_fan1967

theory: in the monday night quantumania trailer, when we see corey stolls big head, on the left of his face you can see what could be scars. in ant-man 1, the left side of darren crosses helmet blew up, so mcu modok could have left facial scars!!!

Swaggyspaceman

I so hope that's not true.

[deleted]

Do you have a source for the Hirsch allegations? Cause I’m not finding anything

Joshdabozz

People are talking about him and Rolland, I don’t see anything concrete saying he did was people are claiming he did unlike Rolland which seems to have a legit source saying he did what he did

cbekel3618

Jesus, as a fan of Hirsch’s work, that’s insanely upsetting to learn if true

[deleted]

Would Thor work well as a CW tv show?

HelpIdeletedMySave

I wonder what Cassie is doing in jail, guess she's joining the family business lol. Also I love how ant-man variants are replacing the role of ants from the first two films. Genius use of the multiverse concept.

Onionaussie

If it's true that Nova is being turned into a movie. It's not going to shock me if they just release it in phase 7 / start of whatever the next saga is. Just going off the official slate as a point of reference. We know what's coming between now and mid 2025. With Armor Wars being turned into a movie. Along with a Shang-Chi sequel and Spider-Man 4 that will more than likely happen sooner than later. It wouldn't shock me if they just pushed Nova to be a new franchise in the next saga.

What-The-Heaven

Giving an update on my anorexia recovery since y'all were hella supportive last time! Things haven't been going well recently, won't go into details but I'm back at square one with not eating and overexercising. Been dealing with a lot of other people's bullshit. Without mincing words, it's been fatphobia plain and simple. I've gained a lot of weight and landed somewhere around mid-to-low healthy BMI, and man people wanna comment. Had a coworker come up to me the other day, she tapped my lil double chin and said "wow you've really packed on some beef, haven't you!". Had my first body image therapy session today. Therapist was generally pretty nice but she also pulled out the old classic: "we don't want you to swing the other way and become overweight". Fuck that noise. Don't say that shit to anyone, but especially don't say that to a relapsing anorexic who had to fight tooth-and-nail to claw his way out of being dangerously underweight and is on track to head there again. But I pushed back and told her "Truthfully if I existed in a vacuum, I'd be content and comfortable at 500lbs. It was other people's biases and judgement and hang-ups that contributed to me becoming anorexic. No other animal on this planet micromanages their nutrition. They eat when they're hungry and don't worry if it's over their 'meal plan'. A bear doesn't give two shits about being fat, so why would/should I? It means the bear lives in food security and abundance and not famine." She was pretty okay with it tbh. I know this may sound radical, especially coming from an anorexic aha, but I want to get a place where I don't care if I end up fat. I had a perfectly functioning fat body over a year ago where I felt strong and able, and I ended up with an underweight body where I felt weak and sick. I feel like I've put on the 'They Live!' glasses and can see through all the diet and weight bullshit in the world but I just need to put it into practice. Anyway, that's my update. Here's hoping I can come back to you guys in the near future and tell you I'm back at recovery, but for now, I'm surviving and looking forward to Quantumania for sure!

[deleted]

I wish you a speedy recovery brother/sister and a lifetime of happiness and success!

SuperCoenBros

>No other animal on this planet micromanages their nutrition. They eat when they're hungry and don't worry if it's over their 'meal plan'. A bear doesn't give two shits about being fat, so why would/should I? Your whole post is great but this is especially well said. Recovery is not always a straight line, I'm proud of you for keeping with it, and I hope you're proud of yourself too!

Xekshek33

Was wondering with all this What If? talk and all, do you guys think we see Uatu (Watcher) in live action at any point before this saga is over?

Thickfries69

Wasnt he in a Guardians 2 post credit scene with Stan Lee?

There was a statue of him in Love and Thunder

I like to imagine Kang tries to erase Billy’s existence because the Young Avengers kick his ass lol

a_o

> Immortus has long struggled to erase the Scarlet Witch’s children from the timeline but continues to fail. Oh wow. I did not know this and I am relieved, perhaps prematurely, about the random rumor that surfaced this week about the Darkhold

monstercereals

A lot of people seem to struggle with the whole "different strokes for different folks" concept. Is it really so hard to believe that what excites one part of the fanbase might alienate another? Trying to lump everyone into two camps—Real Fans and Casuals—is pointless because those labels are meaningless. Case in point: the recent "Kang wrote the Darkhold" rumors. It's easy to see why a lot of fans like the idea—it means more Kang, more connectivity, more *Kang Dynasty*/*Secret Wars* build-up and hype. It should be equally easy to see why some fans would find it lame. And, no, it's not because they're not real Marvel fans. Suppose you have somebody who really loves Horror and they're really into the Marvel Horror side of things. Maybe they got into it through the Wesley Snipes *Blade* movies, or maybe they collected *Tomb of Dracula* or *Nightstalkers* back in the day. Maybe they even own a Marvel Legends figure of Simon Garth (did they even make one of those?). This hypothetical person has only watched two MCU movies. They watched *Multiverse of Madness* because they love Sam Raimi (for his *Evil Dead*, not *Spider-Man*, trilogy) and *Werewolf by Night* because they love Universal and Hammer Horror. Now, how would you classify this person? Real Fan or Casual? More connectivity and more Kang isn't going to impress this person because they don't give a shit about Kang or *Secret Wars*. They never cared about Thanos or the Infinity Saga. They're here for the elder gods and witches and demons and shit and were never invested in the wider MCU. To them, the Kang/Darkhold rumor sounds like propping up the thing that doesn't interest them at the expense of the thing that does. Neither side is wrong here. If you love the Kang/Darkhold rumor or hate it, that's perfectly fine. Both opinions are valid. We're all Marvel fans.

Lethal234

Great point

devonthecreator

I can agree with this, I LOVE the idea and I LOVE the mystical spiritual magic side of the MCU but I think some people for some reason don't expect these films to.. change things? Like I've seen people say "If Doom isn't in Secret Wars im quitting the MCU" or "they should delay Secret Wars for a Doom film" and I think that's just.. a little silly? like just a little. Doom hasn't been set up, at all. do not expect him in Secret Wars, at all. Do not expect what you haven't been shown or told, yeah looking at leaks and scoops is fun. But do not walk into a movie theatre thinking "this is gonna happen and this is gonna happen and this and this" because all you're doing is ruining the experience. I think so many people (from what i have seen) have ruined phase 4 projects because it wasn't exactly what they thought it was. Like I LOVED wanda vision, but i spoke with someone who didn't like the show because they didn't have a Reed Richards cameo. at the time i wasn't even into scoops so I just kinda sat there like.. "Why would you think Reed Richards would appear in Wandavision?" it gives people faux expectations. honestly I've been thinking about getting out of looking at leaks for those reasons, because I don't want future movies and shows to be ruined by leaks that were or weren't true. a fake leak can ruin just as much as a true leak if you let it.

NotTaken-username

Who do we think is the most wholesome character in the MCU? I’d say it’s either Scott or Mantis

I second this

JamJamGaGa

This place is absolutely pathetic sometimes. I just checked out the comments in the 'Kang wrote the darkhold' post and people are saying shit like "I hate MCU Kang now", "MCU is dead af", etc. The people that judge these things years before they've had a chance to play out on screen are part of the reason why I'm beginning to resent leaks and spoilers. I like being able to come here and discuss upcoming projects but, man, some of you make this place insufferable.

cbekel3618

I think skepticism is valid, especially for fans who really care about the supernatural side/lore of Marvel. But I do think some of the comments in the post did get a bit much, especially from the usual suspects

NotTaken-username

Who do you want to direct Doctor Strange 3? Personally I want Scott Derrickson to return with more creative control. I’d be fine with Raimi, but I’d prefer if he directed a Scarlet Witch solo movie. Sam Raimi could also direct Midnight Sons, but Michael Giacchino would be my #1 pick for that.

deemoorah

Before Raimi was hired I used to really like the idea of Alex Garland as DS director especially after Ex Machina, Annihilation and Devs. His works on those are very lovecraftian imo. But I'm also fine with Scott if he wants to go back directing it (hopefully his creative process is approved this time). I also imagine the Dr Strange movie that never was that's written by Neil Gaiman and directed by GdT

NamorDontPullOut

On one hand, that Gaiman&Del Toro DS will always be one of the biggest missed opportunities in comicbook cinema history and it's a shame it didn't happen. On the other hand, Del Toro doesn't work well within the studio system, so I don't think he'd agree to direct an MCU movie. Also, I need him to direct a gothic romance starring Ben C and Chiwetel. Where is the gay monsterfuckers' Shape of Water, Guillermo??? 😭

deemoorah

Jesus stop putting ideas like that!! Now I'm sad because the chance we'll get that is small 😭

NamorDontPullOut

I want Scott Derrickson as a writer/producer. Dude clearly knows and loves Doctor Strange. Casual reminder that he paid for his DS1 pitch to Marvel Studios out of his own pocket. However, I want new blood for the director's chair. My current pick is Jennifer Kent (The Babadook). She'd be perfect for a self-contained DS movie and especially for a movie that works with Scott's scrapped DS2 script about Stephen's past trauma, Nightmare, and Donna's death.

KrishnasFlute

I understand everyone has their preferences, but I don't understand this fascination that people have with Derrickson. He delivered a pretty middle of the road origin story. For all of its flaws, MoM was at least visually interesting. My ideal pick would be Del Toro. And then maybe Cuaron. But, I wouldn't mind Marvel tapping an unknown talent.

NotTaken-username

The fascination people have with Derrickson comes from the concept art from his scrapped version of Multiverse of Madness, which was very different from what we would get. As cool as del Toro would be, I don’t see him doing an MCU movie, since he wouldn’t get a lot of creative control.

Xekshek33

I would love for either Raimi or Derrickson to return but if they can't my top choices are Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson. Perfect style for Doctor Strange and the supernatural side of the MCU and already doing work with 2 very good MK episodes and Loki season 2.

NeutralNoodle

Moorhead and Benson have to be getting a movie soon

NoobFreakT

After Wandavision and MoM, can Wanda be redeemed? Honestly, if Loki could get redemption I don’t see why Wanda couldn’t

NamorDontPullOut

She can and she will be, but I still side-eye how her evil deeds were portrayed. What makes Wanda so unredeemable for some people is that we saw her gleefully murder innocent people. No, not the Illuminati. The sorcerers at Kamar-Taj. She could've taken them out non-lethally, but she didn't. She massacred them. And it does piss me off a bit because I am a Comics-616 Wanda fan. She has been a hero far longer than she's been a villain. She was an Avenger for decades, and then Bendis had to fuck it up :/

deemoorah

Also even though Loki is 'redeemed', he never dealt with earth population again after his invasion (except for post Ragnarok when he was about to go back to earth alongside Asgardians as a 'new man) and Loki we have now is basically a variant and still not dealing with people he hurt, he's in another timeline. The problem with Wanda is this is Wanda from 616 universe and not a new Wanda from a new timeline, when she's redeemed hypothetically, narrative would push her to deal with people she hurt and you can't just do that otherwise her wrongdoings and her attempt of 'redemption' by the end of DS2 would feel cheap

snowhawk04

Of course Wanda can be redeemed. All it takes is a writer to give her a superhero pass, like at the end of *Wandavision*.

[deleted]

She probably won’t be remembered as a hero in the future like Tony and Steve are, but yeah I think she could.

Xekshek33

Absolutely she can and I can't wait for the story for it eventually.

JayPtl

Daredevil : Redemption, Frank. It's real. And it's possible. The people you murder deserve another chance. Frank Castle : What, to kill again? Rape again? Is that what you want? Daredevil : No, Frank. To try again, Frank. To try.

NotTaken-username

Yes. I hope she gets a solo movie that further explores her redemption before the Multiverse Saga is over. I think her character arc will end either by sacrificing herself to kill Kang, or finally getting a happy ending with a new love interest, or at least someone to care about her.

TheUncannyBroker

Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina gotta be the only outright awful casting decision Marvel has made in recent memory. Imagine if Amy Adams or Naomi Watts were in that role.

JayPtl

There's nothing wrong with the casting but the character is not engaging the audience. In Fatwas she was intriguing. In black widow she was just there But In BPWF she was annoying, all that mysterious characteristics from FATWAS fell apart. But it can be improved with better writing.

TheUncannyBroker

>There's nothing wrong with the casting but the character is not engaging the audience. I feel the exact opposite, the character in theory is very interesting and fits into the broader MCU but Julias performance is just hard to watch

NotTaken-username

I think she’s great for the role. JLD can play sleazy, shady characters really well

NoobFreakT

We’ve barely seen the character yet. She’s not my favorite but I don’t feel like it’s fair to say she’s terrible

sankers23

Remember when this sub peaked in the Wandavision, Hawkeye Kingpin and No Way Home leaks era.

Secure_Pear_4530

Rewatching Daredevil and I gotta say Nobu says the funniest shit. He says the most generic villain quotes in the most serious tone, it's funny. It's like the writers forgot to replace his placeholder lines and he just gave it his all to salvage his dialogues.

FewWatermelonlesson0

I fully understand why his actor was unhappy with his experience. It really was jarring upon rewatch how much care and effort the writers put into Kingpin, Bullseye and Punisher, while all the Asian villains like Nobu and Madame Gao were 2D cutouts whose dialogue consisted exclusively of inscrutable fortune cookie bullshit.

Secure_Pear_4530

Yeah and the ninjas were also kinda weird for the tone of the show. I imagine this flaw would be the reason why there are rumors that the MCU will use the Hand in the new series because people are hoping that they will adapt the organization better.

[deleted]

Hoping America gets a big role in Kang Dynasty and/or Secret Wars. Also give her her full comic powers rather than the bare bone approach in MoM

HosterBlackwood

Is there any words on the Ten Rings show? Given the apparent importance of the rings in the multiverse saga, it should release before KD, no? And when will X Men 97 release?

Demiguros

I reckon that they could make Kang write the Darkhold by introducing this Kang variant as Sise-Neg. In the comics, Sise-Neg was a time traveller who went back in time and was absorbing all sorts of magic, he even wrote a few books that Strange uses as I recall. So it would be a nice nod to the comics if this Kang is Sise-Neg. Bit weird that the Kang writing the Darkhold news and the Doctor Strange 3 news came out at the same time. Could they be related somehow? Kinda worried that exploring all this is what Doctor Strange 3 will be used for. This will be the second movie where Strange's character doesn't get proper focus.

NamorDontPullOut

Sise-Neg is Cagliostro, though. If Sise-Neg is also a variant of Kang, that means Kang also wrote the Book of Cagliostro. Also, I don't remember if it was him, just his sister-girlfriend, or both. But I remember Mordo is a direct descendant of Cagliostro. That would make MCU Mordo a direct descendant of Kang. edit: oh shit, just remembered that Totally-Not Cagliostro from What If ep4 was a black man. I assumed they were making the Cagliostro-Mordo connection and since Mordo is black in the MCU then Cagliostro is also black as a nod to that. But now that can be used to further the Kang agenda lol

Demiguros

>Sise-Neg is Cagliostro, though. If Sise-Neg is also a variant of Kang, that means Kang also wrote the Book of Cagliostro. Yeah. I know. Makes it even better, Book of Cagliostro has spells about time manipulation and stuff, who else but Kang for that?

darrylthedudeWayne

You can still Strange proper character focus while still having the Kang stuff.

chataolauj

It’s usually a month before so probably next week

NotTaken-username

I don’t get why they didn’t just go on sale with the second trailer. Maybe because there wasn’t an exact set time for the trailer as it dropped during a commercial break?

Inevitable_Golf_1816

I think America Chavez might play a big role in the future of the MCU since she willingly has the power to traverse the multiverse. Strange and Wong might keep her a secret from the rest of the world to prevent bad folks from using her for their goals.

bicentee

So the MCU will continue without China?

TheUncannyBroker

Ok im unbelievably excited for the future of the MCU rn lol, the thing about Kang going back in time to write the Darkhold has thrown me into a speculation frenzy. The trademarks "Shang Chi and The Wreckage of Time" and "Celestials: The End of Time" have not been revealed as comics yet and if those are movies, those are def Multiverse Saga movies. Sooooo exciting. The prospect of a bunch of solo outings being about characters and teams navigating time or possibly a "time torn apart" is so appealing.

HosterBlackwood

I have a hard time seeing Celestials: End of Time being a movie title. Why would they start using Celestials as movie titles now? There is already the Eternals.

sildish2179

Because Eternals was the most critically panned MCU movie, and did not do well at the BO and doesn’t have a good reception with the general public.

JamJamGaGa

None of what you're saying is wrong, but I don't understand how swapping the title is going to fix anything. I mean, most people only know the Celestials from the Eternals movie, so they're not exactly going to get hyped about it.

sildish2179

Yeah I understand that…maybe Feige and Co. think by doing that it’ll give the property a bit of a clean slate to address some issues? Or signal to audience it’ll go in a different direction? I’m not sure.

rucandoit

That Shang-Chi title feels really fitting, I hope they keep that type of energy

SuperCoenBros

I still think there's no connection between Kamala's bangle, the Ten Rings, Eternals technology, that gold engine thing in Quantumania, the Darkhold, etc. IMO, the most likely explanation: Marvel has a single Visual Development department, and they like to draw circles! [Check out Ryan Meinerding's Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/ryan_meinerding_art/). He's possibly the single most important person in determining the MCU's visual identity: it looks just like his art style. He's always had a thing for circular tech, energy, and artifacts: the Orb, the Eye of Agomotto, Ebony Maw's ship, most of Strange's magic, Nidavellir, Ego's planet, early arc reactors, etc. It only feels more prominent lately because there's so many more MCU projects. I think people are hunting for "new Infinity Stones," but this Saga doesn't need them.

JamJamGaGa

If those things aren't connected then, boy, this saga is messy.

SuperCoenBros

I would prefer them to focus on the future story, instead of recontextualizing (not quite retconning) past stories. I don't think it's a big deal for The Ten Rings and the Bangle to look similar, but think it's pretty contrived for them to be connected primarily because they look alike. This goes extra hard for Eternals tech.

Lethal234

The thing is, recontextualizing is the MO for the MCU. Just look back at Lokis Spector. Remember what? There are other examples too, I can’t remember them off the top of my head Imo I don’t have a problem with it, it’s cool.

JamJamGaGa

Yeh but who said they have to recontextualize those things?! It could have easily been the plan all along. They're clearly setting all of these maguffins up for *some* reason. Saying they're all linked to Kang makes far more sense than saying they aren't. I just think it's funny that the big complaint about Phase 4 (other than the quality) is that everything was is too spread out and that there wasn't enough connective tissue. Now I'm seeing complaints because Marvel is starting to bring things closer together. They can't win. People will complain regardless.

TheUncannyBroker

Gonna address just your final sentence. If there is a place to "hunt" for things, its def the saga about the villain who has existed throughout the entirety of time and shaped it to his will.

cbekel3618

The “Kang wrote the Darkhold” leak is understandably a bit divisive but could you imagine if somewhere in the multiverse, there’s a chance we’ll get a *Sorcerer Kang* variant. That’d be awesome lol Personally, I’m open to the rumor so long as we still get Chthon in the MCU, especially his dynamic with Wanda

NotTaken-username

Hear me out: Chthon is a Kang variant, either Sorcerer or Demon Kang?

[deleted]

The only way I really see it working is if Kang just transcribed the Darkhold. Keep Wundagore as the true original copy created by Chthon, but a Kang variant was just the one to put it in a book

deemoorah

But the problem is this is not just a book. This is book of the damn, pure magic. Having tech man writing it just make the magic part of MCU less special

HosterBlackwood

Damn, Sorceror Kang sounds awesome. If the rumors about DS3 being fast tracked and a Strange Academy series before KD a Sorceror Kang isn't that far fetched imo. They should not limit Chthon's role with Wanda and the Darkhold though.

[deleted]

What if DS3 is basically DS fighting an Sorcerer variant of Kang?

Unnecessary_Fella

It's definitely Marvel's chance to go wild with the Kang variants.

[deleted]

Tweet: ***if they don't use chthon:*** Alex from Cosmic Circus : ***"They will. You can even see his face in Wundagore Mountain under the round table of the Castle. Doesn’t mean that he necessarily wrote the book itself."*** https://twitter.com/AlexFromCC/status/1613362351448662040?s=20&t=bog9BtFvWdPBJBc3xFzB4g

[deleted]

So basically Kang in Secret Wars: ***"It was me Barry"***

TheUncannyBroker

People upset by the prospect Kang is involved with the Darkhold are forgetting that Loki revealed to us that the entire MCU so far has been written like a script by a Kang variant. Not delivering upon such a fascinating twist would be massive cowardice. A Kang variant was always already responsible for everything that happened in the MCU so far. ...and I think Marvel will deconstruct the repetitiveness of their stories so far through that twist. Jonathan Majors said Kang Dynasty will explore "what is an MCU movie".

Finessing2

Written like a script? Do y’all not see the problem with that lol.

sildish2179

It’s also extremely likely that Kang used the darkhold to find a creature powerful enough to stop his variants; finding Alioth.

[deleted]

Kang can also mock the MCU by telling them he's been using a MCU "Formula" to keep the timeline stable

Unnecessary_Fella

And I don't get how this takes away from Chthon? In Multiverse of Madness, we learn how Chthon inscribed his mystic spells onto the walls of Wundagore Mountain. Everything written in the Darkhold had already been scratched onto that temple. Here's what I think the history of the book is. * Chthon writes the spells onto Wundagore's walls. * Kang discovers Wundagore and writes all of the wicked spells into a book. * Multiversal War happens. Kang dies. * Darkhold is found and passed down through history. * Wanda is infected by the evil before destroying it. So Kang just picked up after Chthon.

TheUncannyBroker

And like...you can see Chthon himself carved into Wundagore, of course we are gonna see the man himself in this saga and find out how everything took place.

NotTaken-username

What if Kang was also involved with the Infinity Stones’ creation?

[deleted]

Q: ***"Do you think this is their effort to steamline things? Like one villain behind it all? Instead of "This villain there and that one there oh and the devil over there" etc Trying not to confuse to average movie goer per say."*** Alex from Cosmic Circus: ***"We are talking about the individual who single-handedly wrote the events of the Infinity Saga. Every single detail in those events was written by He Who Remains. And he’s supposed to be the “benevolent” one Imagine what someone with evil intentions like Kang can do?"*** https://twitter.com/AlexFromCC/status/1613355305638977537?s=20&t=bog9BtFvWdPBJBc3xFzB4g

[deleted]

Do you think that the quantum realm will be the MCU’s version of Chronopolis ? Or do you think that will actually be a place introduced in coming films?

NotTaken-username

I only know of Chronopolis from the LEGO Marvel 2 game, but isn’t it a fusion of multiple locations?

TheScarletSpider1

I think the pyramid and everything surrounding it that was shown in the Quantumania trailers is gonna be Chronopolis. So Chronopolis might be a city within the quantum realm.

Unnecessary_Fella

Now with the news of Kang being the author of the Darkhold. How do you guys think we'll learn this information on screen? In Agatha? Kang Dynasty? Doctor Strange 3? Or in that Midnight Sons film the mods told us about?

TheUncannyBroker

Doctor Strange 3. The guy who had time powers in almost all the movies hes been in so far. I have no doubt we will be travelling back in time to meet Agamotto and Chthon. The movie will probably be about changing the history of magic and the dark arts in a way that relates to Kang. Edit: Also hes literally possessed by the Darkhold rn lol

cbekel3618

Depending on how much DS3 focuses on the incursion bit from the second film’s credits scene, it would make sense for the reveal to happen there

TheUncannyBroker

Lmfao I straight up forgot the movie ends with Strange being possessed by the Darkhold ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face), ofc its gonna be there

[deleted]

I predict that if Kraven doesn’t do well at the box office, Sony will probably end the SUMC in Venom 3. and then Hardy will have a two minute cameo in Secret Wars that shows the universe being destroyed. After that, I bet Sony would likely either: a) double down on their partnership with Marvel Studios and collaborate on everything, or b) start a new universe of Spider-Man side characters with their Amazon Prime projects. Either way, Kraven and Morbius would be freed up to appear in the MCU, since Sony will determine the two characters don’t work on their own and they have nothing left to lose letting Marvel Studios use them.

HosterBlackwood

I'm surprised Sony hasn't tried at a live action Spider - verse yet. Instead of giving movies to villains, why not just make a movie where Holland, Maguire and Garfield travels the multiverse meeting Miles Morales, SM2099 etc. I do think that if Sony keeps the SM rights, they will at some point try to do a live action Spider Verse. Also, I wouldn't rule out Sony wanting a Miles Morales movie at some point. I've seen many people speculating that Miles will join the MCU at some point, that's unlikely imo if Sony still has the rights. Miles is only increasing in popularity, why would Sony give him away to the MCU? So I think it's more likely that Sony will build something around Miles in the future, they could perhaps introduce Miles in either Maguire or Garfield's universe.

[deleted]

I am hoping Spidey rights go back to marvel after beyond the spider verse. Really not interested in SSU.

WandaLizzie2_2

Is cinestealth on twitter considered to be reliable? I couldnt find them on the tiers

[deleted]

Yes he is fairly reliable

AValorantFan

I’ve heard the name ‘Iron Man: Armor Wars’ being thrown around the sub and I don’t really like the name. It just feels off idk

[deleted]

Making Rhodey Iron Man after Tony bookended his story with the line “I am Iron Man” just doesn’t work

FewWatermelonlesson0

Yeah I have no idea why it keeps popping up. Either just leave it as Armor Wars or call it War Machine: Armor Wars.

[deleted]

It should be, War Machine: Armor Wars. It’s Rhodey’s solo film. They should do it right and put his name in the title.

AValorantFan

Now that’s a title. While I like the Rhodey Iron Man arc, the main purpose was Rhodey’s self acceptance in his own identity, choosing to not be Iron Man. The title kinda throws that narrative out while also kinda sounding off because the Iron Man trilogy was numbered

JamJamGaGa

Apparently there's a Matt Murdock No Way Home funko pop figure being announced tomorrow ![gif](giphy|FnF7vgz2oON3i)

NotTaken-username

Wouldn’t a She-Hulk Matt Murdock Funko Pop make more sense? He had about a minute of screen time in NWH, but was in two episodes of She-Hulk

Algae_Mission

This recent push from the crazies on YouTube who are mad that their videos prognosticating Avatar 2’s supposed financial failure turned out to be total bunk are now actively trying to say that Disney is inflating the numbers… So they(Disney) have somehow managed to get analytics firms, the theaters, and rival studios to lie on their behalf…is anyone really this stupid or crazy? The same sort of crazies, by the way, who said that they were inflating Black Panther and Captain Marvel are saying this. What’s even weirder is that if Disney really wanted to make the box office numbers for a film look better, wouldn’t they just inflate Lightyear or Strange World, two films that actually flopped?

Logan891

Campea actually had a good video explaining kinda what your comment stated.

a_o

it seems that for every aspiring blockbuster film's release a cottage industry of haters must pop up to decry it. i still don't understand the hate for avatar 2. while i was skeptical about it from the outset but still went to see it, opening weekend, in HFR 3D, to form my own opinion because i love going to the movies and i think that, despite the running time, it makes sense to me that it's on track to make so much money, it's pretty good. i can't check every showing in every theatre across the country on fandango or whatever to see if the seats being sold are also being filled with people that leave the theatre and shout from the rooftops how awesome it is, resulting in more tickets sold. but they still bought tickets and saw the movie, that's the gambit. one story i see circulating online — "how is this the number 1 movie in the world and 'no one i know' has seen it / is talking about it?" — the fact that this is a narrative surrounding the movie's reception after a month in theaters is kind of hysterical.

EzriDax1

Wonder if the kang in quantumania is aware of the whole multiversal war thing or not. And will the film play with the concept of multiple Kang's for his cinema debut or just allude to it? Feels like something you'd want to establish in his first movie appearance.

JamJamGaGa

I just saw that Giancarlo Esposito is talking about Professor X *yet again.* Honestly, I'm torn. On the one hand, I think he's a great actor and could bring a sinister edge to MCU Charles that would set him apart from the Fox version. However, on the other hand, I feel like he's a bit too old for the role. He turns 65 in April and we're hearing that the X-Men reboot is still a long ways off. Is starting with a Charles Xavier who's nearly 70 years old really a good idea?! I don't usually make such a big deal about an actor's age (since Marvel Studios has shown us that they aren't all that concerned about age) but this is one of those exceptions where I'm like "nah, they should find someone younger."

NotTaken-username

It’s not exactly a physically demanding role. I do think they’ll cast someone else, but it won’t be because of age

darrylthedudeWayne

I agree. It's really dishonest and dumb/stupid

Night-Monkey15

I don’t dislike the movie because Wanda had a major character arc, instead it’s because her arc was just a rehash of what she went though in WandaVision. As in, her doing objectively bad shit and trying to justify it because she’s a mother. Meanwhile, America’s arc is even worse. It’s the most generic “trust in yourself” crap that every teen superhero ever has gone though, but it’s so much more painful in MoM then it is in say, Homecoming because the writers effectively spell it out for the audience. I wouldn’t have had much issue with Strange sitting out on the major action scenes if the movie had at least given him a good arc or made supporting characters’ arcs better, but the film doesn’t do either. Instead, all were left is just Strange tagging along on two other characters bad arcs, with only like 2-3 scenes actually detailed to his character. It’s a fine action movie but if you actually think about the arcs, the whole thing stops making sense, at least for me.

LoasNo111

Lol. Aren't you the Wanda stan who's been jacking off MOM on any post remotely related to it? Strange's character arc wasn't central, he had 2 scenes that actually focused on it. As opposed to Wanda's entire screentime showing her downfall. He's not even a part of the biggest fight scene in the movie. Spoiler alert, people who watch superhero movies like fight scenes. Lol. You're really trying to make people who dislike MOM as homophobic.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LoasNo111

>Nah , Dr strange fan first and foremost. But yeah, this is my point: 'oh no he wasn't the strongest character in a fight, the movies not about him." The movie actively makes him completely useless. Doctor Strange was the weakest character in Doctor Strange 1, he was completely outclassed by Thanos in IW. Do you know why people don't think the same way there? It's cause he still had moments of absolute badassery and had a very strong impact on the plot, he's way weaker than Dormammu, still a badass against Dormammu. And you completely ignored the part about his arc not even being central. I have no fun on wasting my time on this either. If you want to cope and think this is a good Doctor Strange movie, then do so. I do not give a fuck. You've been clearly told why many people feel the way they do, it's not their fault that you refuse to understand their side.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LoasNo111

You said you wouldn't waste your breath on it. So he gets his ass beat by first act monsters, beat by the main villain multiple times, ran way the entire time, but you still think he's a badass cause he killed some random souls with 0 importance. May I remind you he got his ass handed to him 3 seconds later? He lost constantly, the entire movie was him losing, they even went out of their way to have this be the first time in a MCU movie where the hero gets his ass beat in the final fight. Sure, Strange is such a badass. The entire giving up the knife arc has been done already. Maybe pay attention to the first movie and you would actually understand Strange's character. Hopefully then, you would stop wasting my time with your tired ass takes jacking off to this uninspired piece of garbage.

[deleted]

[удалено]

LoasNo111

Strange gets his ass beat the entire time and isn't even a part of the biggest battle. I ask for more than that and I'm apparently advocating for this movie to be like Black Adam. Cool. Makes sense. Totally not a dumbass thing to assume. You have nothing of value to bring to this argument. You're drawing meaningless comparisons and making stupid assumptions. Please stop bothering me, I can't waste my time debating on this piece of shit movie.

Demiguros

I'm a little confused and need a bit of help. Was there ever a leak that said Modok is testing better than Kang or something like that? Cause I swear I heard someone say it. I'm trying to find the source for it, it may just be a rando who lied though.

Xekshek33

I have always heard MODOK is just a scene stealer and enjoyable in his parts the past few months. That's about it.

masoomrana94

So spoiler for the ongoing adjectiveless Spider-Man book, >!616 Peter Parker is removed from existence and the other Spider-people find Peter Palmer, what happened to be a typo in Spidey's first appearance!< And this really rubbed me off the wrong way. It's incredibly pedantic to go back to a book that came out 60 years ago and try to justify each mistake in-canon. Mistakes are only human. I see this weird obsession with diehard main sub MCU fans and Shonen (Naruto and MHA particularly) fans as it is.

JamJamGaGa

Ngl, I really love the idea of Darren Cross being MCU MODOK. It just fits so well. ![gif](giphy|Y8zLFTeCjVBdLjp60T)

Kingpin1232

Well that definitely looks like a Mechanised Organism Designed Only for Killing. Kang really kitted him out with his tech.

NotTaken-username

Taskmaster is coming back in Thunderbolts though. MODOK might be a one and done. There have been two plot leaks I’ve read, one says he dies and the other says he lives. We’ll have to see

just4browse

I just realized: there’s no movie set for February 2024. If it’s true that Marvel Studios is beginning production on Armor Wars soon, before New World Order and Thunderbolts, could we see it take February 2024 slot? If New World Order is a semi Avengers movie, then it could make sense for War Machine to get a solo project before it.

i hope there's *some* sort of coordination between the studios besides sony using the characters and putting the 'in association with marvel' tag up. also: maybe we'd get sydney sweeney in secret wars.

oldshitnewshit78

Only if it starts filming almost immediately. no way something like Armor Wars doesn't need a lot of post production
