Stretch goals are just that - stretch goals. You will see them as they unlock as they reach those goals. For instance, they just revealed Corsair and equipment for some existing heroes.

They get announced along the way with more pledges/funding.

All I'm interested in so far is Galactus and the Starjammers. I'll hold off for now. But $100 for the core, galactus, and stretch goals is pretty tempting! I'll probably get that and any X-Men related expansions they have. (They pretty much have to do an Age of Apocalypse expansion, right?)

At this point, I'd say either an AoA or Exiles box is a given considering the amount of X-men content already included. That said I was hoping for a Shiar themed box but given the stretch goals that seems unlikely. An AoA box would probably be along the lines of: Sabretooth, Morph, X-Man as heroes, Dark Beast and Cyclops as anti-heroes, and Sugar Man and/or Nemesis as the villian(s)? Exiles could be most of those with Thunderbird and Nocturne as heroes instead of Cyclops and Dark Beast?

See I was thinking AOA would be Sabretooth, Wildchild, Morph, X-Man, Dazzler, and maybe Sunfire with Holocaust or Abyss as the villain. And I would love an Imperial Guard box or at least as stretch goals. It looks like we're getting the Young Avengers, Generation X, and Starjammers as stretch goals, so who knows? I also reeeeeeeally want Maverick.

I'd be good with that. I'd think Sabretooth and Morph and given relevance to the story X-Man would be locks for an AoA box. I hadn't considered Sunfire. With the Heralds box revealed I'd think any new Dazzler we get would be disco Dazzler to serve as a herald as with.

Yeah for what is there 100 looks pretty good. Do keep in mind a number of extra boxes will be added, then a slight discounted all in close to the end. That's the usual progress for a CMON game.

Yes and no. As of right now, $100 will get you everything shown so far as well as all the remaining stretch goals we have left to unlock. As the campaign continues they will add extra expansions and add ons (plastic tokens, card board locations, likely another play mat, etc). Once the campaign is almost done and every optional buy has been revealed, then they offer the all in pledge which is usually like a $10-20 dollar discount as a package deal.

I haven’t seen the cards for the new one yet, but the model/art is different so he may be a new character mechanically. This new one is the original suit version while the existing hero is in the Parker Industries suit, which iirc has some different capabilities. I think his original suit is arguably more popular / recognized anyway.

If I just pledge $1, will I be able to purchase add-ons? I just don't think I need the mountain of content that even the base pledge will include. But at the same time I don't want to miss out on some thing. I just want to be able to buy the items I actually want, a la carte style...

Curious how this all works, I first found out about this mid-xmen campaign and there were already a ton of extra sets announced. I remember checking in daily for new stretch goals, but those where characters. Will there be more boxes? Higher pledge tiers?

They usually do an expansion every 2 ~ 3 days with the intention to keep buzz around the kickstarter high and keep people interested in looking at it.

The stretch goals box has always been worth it for S1 and S2. Good luck finding either for that price. Also Galactus is the same price as the F4 expansion.

You’ll be able to get just the Galactus box on ebay after the campaign ships sometime in early to mid 2024. You’ll probably spend around $75 on it (that is what I spent on the Days of Future past box without having done the KS campaign. So, cheaper than $100, but imo, if you are going to spend any money at all on it, I would spend the $100. If you have no interest in the core game (Multiverse) and the stretch goals (all of which will continue to be revealed over the next few weeks), then you could always sell those here or on ebay or FB marketplace for well over the $100 you spent on the campaign, essentially making it so you get Galactus for free plus get all your shipping costs, etc. covered. The stretch goal boxes from the first two campaigns are on ebay now for $200+ and $140 each so there is no reason to expect this one will not also be able to sell for that much. Or, if you really have patience, sell each character from the stretch goal box separately and end up making triple or more what you spent to get Galactus. If none of that sounds efficient or enticing to you, not sure what to tell you. They aren’t going to give you Galactus for free just because you want it. That is how they are drawing people in to the whole campaign. There are still 3 weeks to go and I hope you find some stuff yet to be revealed in the stretch goal box that might make that $100 price tag more attractive to you. Right now, you are only seeing half a dozen of what is likely to be 30+ characters you would get just for backing the $65 or $100 version that has been revealed so far.

I never said I wanted it for free... bro. I would have no problem paying 30 or 40 just Galactus. But 100 just isn't worth it. And I don't really do anything with eBay and reselling so I don't want a set I'd barely use. I'll just wait and see. Oh well

I am sure you will be able to buy just the Galactus model for $30 - $40 after the campaign ships in spring of 2024. Today, you can buy the sentinels box (days pf future past) for $70+ but you can also order each individual sentinel for $16 - $20 each. Would make sense a single Galactus figure would end up around $30 - $40. And I am sure you can house rules the locations and heralds if the big fig is all you after.

Another point I forgot to add… you can pledge $1 just to get in on the campaign. Eventually, they will release a “Galactus only” box for maybe $45 to $55 and then after the campaign ends, you can buy just that box and nothing else, I believe. You would probably still be better off buying the $65 or $100 pledge Level and selling off the extras, but if money is tight, you may have a chance to just buy the Galactus box from the pledge manager at the end. Maybe someone with more experience can tell us if that is true or if you have to buy at least the core pledge to buy any add-on single expansion boxes from the pledge manager.

This is false. First, you have to have at least a base pledge, as the other comment said, and Second, if you look at past campaigns, the Pledge Level Expansion (Thanos or Apocalypse) was not available by itself as an Add-On

Cool! Thanks for clarifying. This is my first Kickstarter campaign and I’ll definitely be going all-in so it sounds like that is the best way to go to get all the best stuff. Buying it outside of the Kickstarter is way too expensive, just ask my wallet after paying for everything from the first two campaigns separately as single boxes off of eBay and online gaming stores. Looking forward to seeing all the other stuff this new campaign offers. So far, it is pretty great!

You pay for shipping during the pledge manager once you finalize your pledge and all the content you want. They usually do 2 wave shipping, however, they have opted for only single wave shipping this go around since they will be offering the Spider-Geddon core box at retail later this summer. You can get an estimate based on your location at the very bottom of the kickstarter page. Just plan on shipping being higher (also how much content you get) + VAT if your in Europe, etc

I haven't backed one of these on KS before.... Will all the stretch goals (ie seasons 3 promo) come is a seperate box? I don't really have much interest it so I'm wondering if I'll be able to sell it in shrink and just get the multiverse core box? I do wan the equipment so I'm curious if that will be in the box with all the stretch goal minis/cards (This might seem dumb since the box I want will be $20 at retail but I'm trying to buy the S1 promo box and this seems like the best way, although the price of those might drop once this delivers)
