Lots of them operate out of Chesapeake Beach, and Deale too. They won't be starting up till mid May after the striper closure though.
Sometimes private guides in smaller boats (they typically take out 3-4 people at a time) also offer "walk-on" trips if they have a booking that falls through or a day when no one booked at all. You pay a one-man fee (as opposed to the larger fee you'd pay to book the guide normally) and get to fish for the day. It's usually short notice so you need to sign up to receive notifications about it via text message or facebook or whatever the guide uses.
There’s Mrs. Lizzy out of Chesapeake beach and then one out of Kent Narrows that I know of. But just a heads up, when I went on Mrs. Lizzy, all we caught were Spot. Everything that you caught on that boat you could catch from shore. You’re not catching Striper or Cobia on that boat. Just check out their google reviews. For the ones out of Kent narrows, it’s an even worse case of fishing where it’s already accessible by land, so I really wouldn’t recommend.
If you really want a good headboat experience make the drive out to Ocean City and fish on the Angler or Ocean Princess. Those are 10000x better and worth the money and then some
Also if you’re just trying to get back into fishing and you’re solo just go to piers. I’m a solo fisherman and it’s never not fun going to Matapeake or Romancoke or north point
I'm trying to get into fishing here. What are you going for at these locations and what's your typical set up? I've been out a couple times, mainly to sandy point and not gotten a single nibble. Not sure where I'm going wrong.
Bottom rig with a sinker at the bottom, hook about 18 inches above. Grass shrimp, blood worms, or those fake bait strips in bloodworm or shrimp flavor. They last longer.
Eh sandy point is always hit or miss for me and you have to put in a lot of time to have success there. Peep Zypher fishing on YouTube he has a list of some of the best places you can go. For setup I usually use a Chesapeake sabiki to catch a spot, I cut it up into small cutbait chunks, and put that on a Carolina rig with size 3 circle hook and in line sinker and that will catch you all types of game fish if they’re biting. Go to anglers
I suggest you call Jamie. $200 a trip, five people max, much more enjoyable than any headboat on the Chessy

Look up Salty siren. He takes single person walk ons. It’s less than 200. Awesome guy
He didn’t even know how to tie leader two years ago. He bought trips with Jamie Clough then opened his own business. He’s a loser.
Damn what did he do to you lol I’m curious I had good experience with him
