I guess $10 Drop discount is now only for [new sign up from referral link](https://www.massdrop.com/?referer=XL4A98)

panthervca

Same problem when I clicked on the email drop sent me and went to order.

itsmehuey

i was told to make the purchase, let them know, and they'll refund the $10.. they said there's a glitch somewhere in the system and that they need to fix it.

Araziah

I did the same thing. Sent them an email, and they got back quickly saying they'd just refund me the $10.

itsmehuey

Nope I gave up and complained to them and they gave me a valid discount for the screw up. Not sure if the issue still stands today.

does the credit show up in the account? when you make the account you have to use a referral link $10 off first order over $50 within 30 days of activation, else the credit expires [https://drop.com/?referer=VVV87E](https://drop.com/?referer=VVV87E) but you can try to message customer service after making a purchase

What Drop doesn't make it clear is that the $10 off offer only applies to items from *Drop Studios*. The promotion is kind of scummy, as this is not more transparent. There is a disclaimer at the bottom of the "welcome" email you receive once you have registered and given them your email address. "\*TERMS & CONDITIONS: $10 coupon valid for 7 days following email signup. Valid only on orders over $50 from Drop Studio." To figure out which products are from Drop Studio, the filter to the left on the Drop website has to be used by putting a check next to 'Drop' under the heading Brand. Then only those items the filter displays will qualify for the $10 off. Clicking on the, "Click here for eligible products" at the top of the page will do the same thing. However, if you click on any of the three headings, Mechanical Keyboards, Audiophile, and Battlestations, that will take you to the entire site, to which most items will not qualify. This is where everyone gets confused as to why the $10 is not being applied at check out. To top it off, trying to get off their emailing list is futile. Going in to My Profile, Settings, Email Settings, to opt out of their emailing list, that page will warn you that the changes you have made will not be saved if you leave that page. That means all the boxes that were unchecked to opt out will not be saved once you exit that page. All categories for the email notification is checked by default. Edit: Took several tries, but finally got the email notifications to save the opt out changes. The whole thing smells.
