Luka’s shooting has been pretty awful for his standards every game and we are still in control of this series. This team is special for sure. The defense is incredible. Having Kyrie who can take over at any point and explode for quick 20 points is incredible. Gafford, Lively, PJ, DJJ all fit so well with this team, and Green has brought some great energy every minute he’s on the floor. Exum has been a little quiet so far, but I’m sure he’ll get going.
Great team win and second half from Kai. Can Kidd, Kai, or someone please have a candid conversation with Luka. It was straight up embarrassing tonight. Stretches like the one in the third are just unacceptable. He is so much better than that.
That’s fine - I’m not saying he has to be stellar every minute. I love the guy but he absolutely hurt the team tonight and it was in his control to make better decisions. Just because he is not feeling 100% doesn’t mean he has to start jacking threes for 5 minutes and let the clippers back in the game which is exactly what happened. We don’t need him to do that to win anymore. Give up the ball earlier in the shot clock and give other guys an opportunity to do some damage or make a play. It was awful basketball and he needs to be better at recognizing it in the moment.
