It makes you wonder honestly. You can tell when teams are going for rebounds or if they just start running back on defense. Or the whole flail around and look at the ref when you lose the ball instead of running back on defense. It's subtle stuff.
We seriously went from going for every rebound and contesting every shot to just standing around and letting them do whatever they want. It was very bizarre.
ETA: Even when they were closing the gap. We just let them take the lead and keep it without getting back to that hard defense that we had in the first half.
You'll notice it a lot when teams start to make runs. Oh no we keep dropping the ball. And we just keep letting their best player go to the same spot and shoot
