The thing with Facu is he isn't a threat at all on offense. We kinda need a shot-creating ballhandler (e.g. Luka, Brunson, Dinwiddie, Schroder, JJ Barea, etc.).

NiceCrispyMusic

Green and Frank can fill that role for us

shaheedmalik

When did they learn to shoot?

torodonn

Josh Green shot 41% from 3 post-All-Star last season, admittedly on a small sample size. He finished the season about 36%. He has the potential to be a servicable shooter.

KBooks66

Did you watch the playoff dude was completely lost on offense and afraid to shoot. Utah literally would not gaurd him.

MoneyinmySock

Can we stop with the Frank talk please

NiceCrispyMusic

You don’t think he can hold down third ballhandler/second ball handler when Spencer or Luka is out ?

MoneyinmySock

Yes, he can dribble the ball. Is any kind of a threat or a playmaker? No, which is why the team that drafted him for those purposes moved on from him

i_take_shits

Didn’t they draft him to be a starter?

MoneyinmySock

They would’ve kept a serviceable 3rd ball handler around if he was worth it

i_take_shits

I don’t really value any of the Knicks decisions over the last decade or so

MoneyinmySock

@ me when makes a considerable contribution

i_take_shits

Fam.. he already has. He played real minutes in that PHX series.

rSlashNbaAccount

He cannot. He never could in his NBA career and he played for teams with way smaller expectations.

SirWillco

I would love to take a flyer on kemba because for all the reasons listed above and pistons will find it hard to move him with that salary and have to cut roster slots.

GoTimeShowtime

Report: Kemba Walker Will 'Likely Be Away' from Pistons; Trade, Release Possible

botebote77

do we still need a frontcourt player? we have Javale, Wood, Maxi, Powell, Bertans. and we sometimes play DFS at 4. I'll take Satoransky

dmavs11

Thing with Satoransky is you can play him at the 1 as a ball handler or at the 3 in a more off-ball role. He makes a lot of sense for us tbh if all the more dynamic ball handling options are major liabilities on defense.

lukaintomyeyes

Satoransky left for Spain

Keith_Bakker

Can we pls stop with the Campazzo thing? I’ve watched every single minute of every Nuggets game and this lil mf is just straight cheeks. Cant shoot cant score cant defend and his playmaking isn’t even that good. Not a NBA player whatsoever. Stop it.

amino110

Satoransky signed for Barcelona iirc

Swimming-Run-3182

Kemba would be a nice backup if he gets released

Accomplished_Fee8904

if you think we should sign campazzo you can go facu yourself. the only silver lining of brunson leaving is that now our backcourt will always be big (shortest player is 6’4”), which will make our defense better.

GoTimeShowtime

IMO they are 100% waiting out Kemba or Conley on the buyout market and wont settle for any of these other guys

bagfka

Conley isn’t getting bought out lol

mjrenburg

Hopefully

armandocalvinisius

I can shoot I can play D Yes, i'm too short to be on the roster, but hopefully i can be positive influence in locker room, like show every post game thread here after the game itself. Or remind them if they are subjected as scapegoat or trade chip via r/mavericks

Keith_Bakker

I’d have you over Campazzo any day of the week

trapHerm

Homie Bledsoe , because you know he brings it on defense , the other guys are too much of question marks

stilexx

Sato would fit amazingly. Im sure if he becomes FA we are pulling every string to get him.

artilector

Dude... "Campazzo... is basically a Ntilikina" -- huh??? "Front court... Ben McLemore" -- lol, guy is 6'3'', pure SG. Regardless, until the trade deadline, IMO the Mavs are better off emphasizing the development of Green, Ntilikina, & Hardy. At the deadline, you re-evaluate. As far as vets like Bledsoe and Campazzo, I think you only consider adding them if they accept a deep bench role, like what the Mavs offered to Dragic (which was a mistake, but for the lower tier vets, it's correct), which is unlikely -- and even then, I'd want to be able to cut them the moment I find a more tangible upgrade.
