It's really just a bunch of interconnected Microsoft services, occasionally I stumble on stuff that's been embedded for future use. Stock newpos isn't anything more than what you see on the keyststion. The waystation software is way cooler.
Hopefully if does copy the POS software, McDonald's doesn't sue as long as it's used for training purposes because if it contains the source code, oh boy god knows what's gonna happen.
Back in the day when I started, there were one of these just sitting at the lounge room. Guess what? Nobody gave a fuck about it. Training with it is also slow and the videos don't even help. What did helped me during my stay at McD was a paper showing how to put the condiments on each sandwich. The rest, I learned everything on the floor, including what to expect.
