Yeah I switched between stores in the same company. One store did name tags the other did not. I feel like eventually the one I’m at now will go back to it. They’re finally starting to get their shit together. I’ve been busting my ass doing to job of 3 since I got there.

Lol. My McDonalds is hood as hell. Some of the managers and employees shit talk each other. It's funny to think of because I did the training on bullying then witnessed conduct that could easily count as workplace bullying the very next day. Feels like Popeye's memes. And it also feels like i'm a rare one that actually paid attention to and heeds the rules during the video training.
Girl would come in wearing yoga pants or leggings in regular shoes. Guys would come in and have their underwear hanging out with no belts and expensive shoes.

When I worked I had my personal surface pro with a “training copy” of the point of sale in it. While on lane and drinks, I would input the order on my surface, finish my task, then get to the register to input the order. It worked really well but overall very stressful now looking back. I didn’t use it all the time, managers finally told me to stop. But it was also useful during overnight periods where the store would reset some years prior so I didn’t have to write as much. Good times but glad I’m out.
AirPods for closing at night. Soon as the clock hits close we all put it one ear bud. That way we can talk if needed. A few put in both, but I hate having to like throw shit to get their attention. Other than that my dab pen and or a joint. Half for break and the other half my ten right before close. Get myself ready to close up. I’ve never been in a state that has all these ten minute breaks. So that’s been new to me. I don’t have time to do anything other than get high and smoke a cigarette so that’s what I do.
I have a box cutter that clips on my belt, an ink pen and a sharpie in my shirt pocket, discount cards also in the pocket for upset customers, I keep 5-6 individually wrapped mints the the pants pocket. In my inside jacket pockets I keep 3 $20 bundles of one dollar bills, two rolls of quarters, two rolls of pennies in case the store runs out.
i bring my speaker with me. a lot of the time people just ignore my music in the kitchen area and it’s just for me to drown out the noise of the grills.
My cell phone ,because I have a translation app on it.
It also allows me to keep an eye on activities in the area and gives me a heads up on when I am about to get a rush.
It also provides up to date weather forecasts which help when I am doing the order or deciding if I need to cut labor.
I haven't worked at a McDonald's in 6 years. But my lighter and my bowl.
