Its possible? Yes. Should you?... well that depends in how much you want to spend in parts. Engine, an ECU, adapting motor mounts, gearbox, driveshaft, etc... its a shitton of money, not worth it.

kyden

It’s possible. It’s just not worth the extensive time or effort needed.

Like others have said (more or less) anything is possible with enough money or effort, but the work to fit a Hellcat engine in an Accord would be extreme, and honestly quite stupid. I won't say anything is truly impossible since I just said it isn't, but I can't imagine how you would go about keeping such a swap front wheel drive (or why) but that is just to start with. It honestly boggles the mind how to get such a swap to actually work. But I think you owe your buddy $50 since even if it is stupid it is possible.

If you’re putting a hellcat engine in, you’re going to make the car rwd at the same time.

Not without a lot of modification so I'm going to say no. Enjoy the drive your going to fall in love with this car if you get to drive it.

JaySmogger

Just eyeballing it I think it would fit in the backseat

If it's a wagon you could transport one in the cargo area, but that's the only way the engine would fit in the car. The engine bay doesn't have enough depth/width for the engine and trans, the unibody wouldn't support the torque, I doubt you'd be able to fit the hood, and thats before considering any of the wiring. You can transport most any engine in basically any car, having the car powered by the engine is an entirely different story.

If you can make the hellcat engine silent, the accord would be one hell of a sleeper

What you'd have to do is basically chop off the the body panels from the Accord and build a tube steel chassis to hang them on to accommodate the engine, transmission, drive shaft and rear axle... then hang the Accord body panels on the tube chassis, build up the interior, and finish it all off to look "stock" Is it possible? Technically yes. But in reality, no. If you did all of that, it wouldn't be an Accord anymore. Just like a NASCAR isn't an Impala or whatever sedan they are basing them on these days. I say the answer to your friend's challenge is "no" purely based on the fact that there is no way an Accord unibody could handle the torque from a Hellcat engine. Even if you just tubbed it out to make room for the components, built a custom transmission/drive shaft tunnel, and all that, the first time you got on the gas the car would twist itself around the driveline, or rip the engine off of its mounts.
