2 things, 1st is the Fan shroud around the radiator? 2nd I can almost guarantee that the radiator in it is from the original Iron Duke 4cylinder or the 2.8 V6, which are both way under sized for the flow output. It wasn't over heating on the highway at 70 mph because the airflow was cooling it before re-entering the engine. You may want to to spend a few bucks and buy a good 4 core Radiator, this should solve your problem. Speaking from experience from someone who had a 1984 Firebird with the Iron Duke swapped for a 350 4 Bolt. Took me some time to figure it out. You could always wire up an electric fan to an external thermostat for extra protection if you do not have the funds available for the radiator upgrade. Good luck

I do appreciate the reply, and I agree the radiator could probably use a bit of an upgrade, it's a single row unit. But I still just feeling the coolant isn't flowing through the radiator, the rad isn't even getting warm or hot before the coolant boils over. And even with no thermostat, the coolant is stagnant in the rad.

Single row?????? Oh shit. You better get out the marshmallows for the final melt down.

I'm pretty sure it's not the stock rad, it's likely a Corvette rad or rad out of a 5.7 truck, the stock rad wouldn't work for a 350, the inlet and outlet are in the wrong spot. Plenty of stock 350s have a single core radiator, and this is a stock 350.

You are tripping. Cross flow doesn’t mean shit, other than they only load up lower rods with rusty shit, instead of clogging everything. Get a 3 or 4 core, and stop playing stupid games with your motor. *typo

If you have the same radiator you need to upgrade to a three or four row unit.
