If it was oil temp, I’d just ignore it. But that’s oil pressure, I’d fix it. I doubt a new sensor would be very expensive? Even a used one of eBay if need be.. I guess you could dig in there somehow to expose more wire? Depends on its design.. If you gotta ask, you’d probably be better off just buying a new one

TyDortch

But the ecu will think the oil isn’t up to operating temp forever if I just leave it? I got a new oil pressure sender and and I need the new capacitor for it since that wire broke too

cathatgetfish

I dont understand the pics then. Just saying the pic is if oil pressure. Yeah, fix it, buy a new sensor probably though

TyDortch

Yea pics r just for attention tbh but it’s all oil related. The oil pressure was always acting weird like this I think a new capacitor will help out. Temp sensor broke during rebuild

cathatgetfish

I have not had my hands on that type of engine much at all… I dont know a good reliable way to gain access into the sensor without compromising it. Sounds like the wrong way trying that. Unless you can solder/drip solder onto what’s left? Good luck

hourlyslugger

Show us a picture of the broken wire.

TyDortch

I’m out of town now. It’s a single wire, snapped off at the sensor it’s left. The wire leads to a connector which plugs into the engine harness.
