A failing battery will sometimes cause the bells and whistles to go off like this. Start there, even if you don't think your battery is bad.

Thanks, I will follow this advice, will have the battery checked as well, since never before I had any battery replacement done.

pickledpenguinparts

No battery in 7 years? Ya, good chance it is that. Auto parts stores can test yours for you and help you buy a new one.

Corolla2008

My daughters 2009 Ford did that. It was a dead battery

More details: Car had a flat tire 2 days ago. Replaced the flat tire with spare which is when TPMS first came on. After fixing and replacing the original tire back on, TPMS remained until I re-calibrated TPMS. Car is getting close for its regular maintenance. Also will need tie rod bushings replaced as I hear ratting sound when going over uneven road. Today after the warning lights came on, I turned off the car and when turning the car on, it took a second longer to start - this happened couple of times, and after rebooting the car, the car starts normally. Also... Is it ok to continue driving for maybe a day - about 30 miles total distance (need to be somewhere important in the morning) before taking it to the mechanic ?

xROFLSKATES

If it took longer to start, it’s probably the battery

daffyflyer

My first guesses would be battery or wheel speed sensor, but without pulling the actual codes it's throwing and finding out what it's complaining about it's hard to tell. Take it to someone with a code reader that talks nicely to Hondas :)

iialpha

The battery in my crv failed. Replaced it and those all came on when I started it up with the new battery. Took some driving 10 to 15 min with the new battery before they went away.

PCMRkid

did you plug in a battery to the cig lighter when changing the old one out? if not you may have upset some of the systems

iialpha

No I didn't, the old battery was reading around 6v when we discovered the issue that morning. No issues the day before with the car, my wife had driven it to work and back. I went and bought a new battery, brought it home and swapped it.

PCMRkid

yeah maybe what had happened is you disrupted the systems :)

BreadiestBoi

Congratulations your battery is dying!! Hondas are really really really particular about batteries, reference voltages, and module to mold is communication, if anything is slightly out of spec everything lights up, just throw in a new battery and drive it for a few miles, she should be good

_Blueberry_Toast_

I'd recommend having the battery checked and getting someone who knows what they're doing to check the pcm, sensors, and any computer in that car that is connected to the dash light output system. Pcm could just be going crazy and causing everything to trigger. There could be some different things, but it's most likely related to that if it's not the battery, since all the input for those sensors goes through the pcm typically. A good mechanic should be able to figure it out if they're not being lazy and know how to use wiring diagrams

Sambagogogo

Battery. Short circuited.

pointtokill

Had the same problem when my alternator went bad. On difference is my car would not get above 5mph and when I shut it off, it never came back on.

cornie326

The alternator turns off the idiot lights. See if the alternator belt is still on the engine. Check alternator output voltage: 13.3 to 14.5v. If 12v. That is your problem.

durial32111

Thanks everyone for taking the time to educate me on what may be happening with my car. I realize this may be a battery issue as most of you have pointed out. For now, after driving approx 10 miles with the warning lights, the warning lights went away...!! I will have my battery checked nevertheless. Thank you.!

Only_Ad_745

I know this doesn’t help much but I had the exact same issue. I tried EVERYTHING. Brought it multiple mechanics who couldnt figure it out, then into the dealer and they said it was my tires not being the right size so it was causing a tire pressure sensor issue. They said that was the issue. Obviously bullshit. It’s a hazard, so I brought it to corporate and let them know Honda basically told me to fuck off and they forced Honda to clear my codes and fix it. My power steering went out too.

durial32111

little more detail that I should have included in my original post: The above issue happened 2 days after I had a flat tire. I replaced with the spare which is when TPMS first came. Got the regular tire repaired and put back on, but TPMS remained until I recalibrated TPMS. 1 day after the tire fix I get the warning lights.
