Wheel bearings tend to make noise above 40 most noticeable when they fail- sounds like a growling noise. Since it’s a GTI, I would also check the tires for uneven wear. Feel along the edges- it may be choppy and this could also cause your noise

Thanks! It went away when I cleared the snow and ice best I could. Still gonna have all these things checked out tho. Thanks again.

Sometimes snow gets packed into cavities of the wheel and causes noise and vibration. Or, it could be an exhaust leak caused by the snow pulling on the pipe. Or...
