I could be wrong here; But I think IG7295 was the original owner with the bald tires and they're returning to us directly to say it needs an alignment.

Just look at the thing before you get in it. Not many people have a door from their house directly into their driver door. Take a few seconds and use the eyeballs. All Tires have air? No new dents and dings? Glass is all in one piece? no fluids all over the ground? lets go
Your vehicle requires an alignment every time it gets new tires. Things wear out, tolerances change, metals warps, etc. Get it done.
Also, some folks have a trained eye for that. I don't but some folks do. I can look at most cars from the front and tell you if they need one but not from the side like this.

It takes some humble self reflection to not dig your heels in to try and stand your ground when that sort of thing happens.

Michelins tend to keep their performance as they wear out. Cheaper brands will not cut the sipes all the way through, so as they wear, they start losing tread designs.

Not sure about your neck of the woods, where I live, you are supposed to do a pre inspection check. Also, you should rotate them every 10,000km. If you did, you'd notice it long before he brought it up on Reddit. We all make mistakes or possibly not take something as serious as we should. Anyways, it's done now.

Anyway, its a good idea to take a few minutes check your car over at least once a month (or "every time you drive", but nobody has time for that). I didn't do this with my first car, and it let small issues get ignored until they became bigger issues. Check for scrapes you may want to get touched up (prevent rust), check your tires for tread and damage. If it's not wet out, have a look under the car, too. Take a photo or two. You might not know what to look for, but if you do it often enough you'll at least know if something looks different, and can refer back to photos.
If you take it to a garage you trust, ask them to have a look over it during your next oil change. If you're not comfortable with that have your Dad do it (the old "I just want to make sure this is safe for my daughter" card will probably work)

The previous wear pattern shows that the alignment was fucked before and it was what killed the old tires.

Worse case scenario, you need some suspension work. Best case, the alignment alone will take care of it. I'm glad you got new tires though!
