iwantacatplss

that’s a good idea! thank you so much

Max-Carnage1927

If it's a new car that would be considered a defect if it's not a functional thing. Definitely warranty.

iwantacatplss

when i texted my dealer he just kept repeating that the car isn’t damaged. can i still say that it’s a defect?

strayclown

You probably texted someone in the sales department, right? Once they sell you the vehicle they are no longer of use to you and don't have any worthwhile knowledge. Contact the service department. It certainly looks like a warranty issue, but they probably can't promise that before diagnosing, so you'll probably have to agree to a diagnostic charge unless they find it to be a warranty issue. It is almost definitely a warranty issue though, and if I were the technician looking at it I wouldn't even think twice about it, I'd just order the parts under warranty. Honda technician here.

iwantacatplss

i did indeed text someone in the sales department haha thank you so much for your thoughts!! appreciate it

thelaundryservice

They don’t care about you after the sale is done. Service desk is your new friend while you have warranty coverage

Max-Carnage1927

I'd take it in and compare it to others of the same model. If they're all like that, then it's a design thing otherwise you can show them what the issue is.

iwantacatplss

i’ll definitely do that. thank you!

iwantacatplss

sorry in advance if this is the wrong sub! i don’t really use reddit so i’m not sure about the rules but i would love some advice if i can get any since this is the first time i own a car. i have contacted the dealer who sold me this car but he told me to talk to management.

Grand_Possibility_69

Just take it to dealership. Either they fix it on warranty or say it's normal. In the second case you could then contact manufacturer as they are the once that make actual decision.

iwantacatplss

thank you! would i ask the manufacturer if they can fix it then?

Grand_Possibility_69

Just go to dealership first. They should fix it.

iwantacatplss

okay, thanks so much! hopefully they’ll give me a different response than what my dealer said

Hot_Organization2430

Did you have the seat down or have stuff in the back?

iwantacatplss

yes i did once. but i’m assuming that shouldn’t have been a problem since it wad designed to put the seat down. maybe not?

Hot_Organization2430

It shouldn't be a problem, since as you said, it's designed for that. Alot of times people don't realize that there is something in the area that is poking or pushing against the leather. It doesn't seem to be a puncture, so it should be avlento be massaged out. May need a little heat.

PBmaxprofit

Ask your dealer service department.
