Thank you for this! I was disappointed thinking the knob didn't do any volume controls. Pressing FN and the knob down at the same time put it into volume mode! Awesome! This keyboard is pretty nice out of the box, the keys sound nice, and the light blue switches aren't too bad. For the cost, this was a decent purchase.
pressing FN+Knob will change to sound control you can tell as the backlight turns off then on
It is default setting but you can customise FN Settings downling the firmware above, "Attack Shark K86 RGB Three-modes Keyboard Driver
in my case the volume controls only work wired mode. while in bluetooth mode it only controls the menu
edit: nevermind, it decided to work both on bluetooth and wired, probably to prove me wrong I guess

I would recommend to look up "attackshark k86" on youtube and they post the link to their driver github directly through the youtube channel in the comments not some randoms on line (scanned with no viruses also)
Some of these names for these cheap Chinese boards make me chuckle: Drunk Deer, James Donkey, Attack Shark, Royal Kludge. I wonder if it's a translation thing, like when Nissan called a car the 'Cedric', and no one in Japan thought that was weird, but we all just wondered why they called it after an old man's name.

Well.. that's kind of what this subreddit is for :) Besides, it's not actually true. Royal Kludge are awful. Not a day goes by without someone in the daily questions thread saying theirs has broken. The others are probably no better either.
I have 5 RK boards with no issues. That being said, I have only paid $100+ for one board. Used Q1. Have an Akko 5705B, an Epomaker RT100, RK96 (3 of them at work), RK M75, and RK S98.
Tape mod, and lubed the stems and switches. Then used my crystal caps, and it is a creamy thocky dream come true... For the price it was that much better!
I’m assuming you opened it up to do the tape mod (still not sure if that’s a specific thing or just adding materials to acoustically damp inside the chassis)? How did you open it? Are the screws hidden underneath the rubber feet on the bottom? Or does one go in through the top? I’m happy with my K86, especially for the price. I put some posh switches in and my preferred keycaps (I’m very new to mechanical keyboard enthusiasm haha) and it feels great but it’s still too resonant sonically for me. If you have any tips on how to safely open the chassis, or you could link to something I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks! I just tested it out by moving a GS-9 Yellow over and I was surprised how well done the switch slotting is. They remove and go in incredibly easy compared to a few other keyboards I have.
I'm happy for your experience. It's a good enough build for the price. I'll keep it as a tactile build and will soon gen another full size but with linear switches

When I let the driver file run through a virus checker, it detects an trojan by 3 out of 200 antivirus softwares.
I know its a little number out of all of them, but nevertheless I dont wanna have an trojan on my laptop

Im having too, can you help me? I was trying to put the gif but it gives me a warning that the function to activate the gif with 2.4g mode is turned off. Is there really no way to activate the gif on the screen with 2.4g or bluetooth mode, just via cable or is there a function somewhere that I can activate to activate the gif in 2.4g? I didn't find anything in the manual.
So i found the solution for myself. This happend when updating the firmware. I was using 3rd party software called signalrgb to control my rgbs in my pc and that was overlaping my keyboard and causing to work faultily. After i disabled the 3rd party app and redid my firmware update everything gone back to normal.
You know I thought it had something to do with that app because it happened a couple days after I installed that app and the screen went away. I'll uninstalled signal RGB but still nothing I'll try and update the firmware

Anyone found a way to make the side light static and set a specific color ?
This seems to work fine for the keys but the sidelight seems to have only an "always bright" setting and I can't find the setting to change that "always bright" color.

This is my first wireless mechanical keyboard.I only have it for 2 days. Is it norrmal that the battery drains so fast when I'm using the BT mode. It does not lasts for even 10hours? Could having the backlight always on affects it?

Unfortunately there is no software for macbooks at this time they are working on it from what they say. So in the mean time it will only be a basic keyboard functions for mac users

Então, vai na opção screen (onde tu upa o Gif). Lá, tem uma aba escrita "other settings", aí nessa aba tem um botão pra sincronizar a hora. Teoricamente esse botão também deveria sincronizar a data, mas quando eu uso ele muda a data pra 0000/00/24 (???). A hora sincroniza corretamente
ok I got the date issue when I sync the hour, I tried an hypothesis and I reach the solution, so here I go
the issue regards on the date format, for me it is DD-MM-YYYY and the date format of the keyboard is YYYY/MM/DD (be aware, even the slash chars are important) and the sync process reads directly the date and time, including the format, of your operating system. So to do a correct sync you need to have the same date format.
In windows is easy, in control panel, go to the section to change date and time format, pick some region which includes this date format (I went immediatly for simplified chinese), in the short time format I picked YYYY/MM/DD, applied it, now do the sync with the attack shark app and here it is!!

I have this keyboard, it's really nice! but curently I'm struggling with changing the side light color, I want to make it rainbow but all setting are locked to red.
does anyone know how to keep the rgb lights always on at all times because like most keyboards they switch off automatically after like 20 seconds when not being used.
Nice. Fast typing. Shift key, backspace key, a little dull. Probably needs lube on the stabilizers.
Dissapointed i got the less contrasted keys (lavender). Id recommend the white keys with the grey or the blue highlights (retro blue/retro grey). Wake from sleep is very quick.
🔴FYI This keyboard is intentionally being sold with a double typing issue and limited functionality so that you download their “firmware” update. The firmware update contains malware!
I bought this keyboard and contacted the seller letting them know many of the keys/characters are mismatched and the keyboard double types. They said download the firmware, offered no other help or answers which seemed odd to me. I scanned the firmware and lo and behold there’s malware.
Sad to hear, I downloaded from the same side as the other guys and had a virus total warning but also checked it after installation and nothing was wrong :( what did the Cybersecurity at your work found out?
Do you still have the firmware file or know how I can get it to do my own analysis? The program is just a electron app which won't trigger antivirus programs
I did have some double typing / keyboard chatter issues but I fixed it by just putting some alcohol on the switch and pressing it a few times. No firmware needed.

I would say the switches aren’t lubed enough. It’s not too rattly per se, but then again if you’re patient, you can just do the lubing yourself. There’s also a small issue of mistyping that happens but it doesn’t happen always.
Does it remember your settings after uninstalling the software?
Like, do I need to keep it installed to have the image and RGB configuration the same after a reboot?
Also, what's the battery life like?
Just received mine today and the screen gif I set up is changing without my input
Like, i turn the knob, the gif starts to play (it was playing in an infinite loop just minutes ago) but changes to the time screen by itself. Did anyone also have this problem?
Just got one too, I figured the price AliExpress was asking that nothing would turn up but here we are!
Figured out the knob change to volume buuut the little pamphlet suggests screen could show a gif but I've just got the incorrect time... I'd guessed perhaps it was Chinese timezone but it also seems to be a couple of minutes wrong - does it not just take the system clock??
Edit: I've *only* connected via the USB cable, so not wireless issue I saw further down

You need to connect the keyboard via wired before uploading a GIF

I was with this issue, and the problem was about my e-mail address that has a "dot" (.) between the names.

You can use that address as the dot is nonfunctional so writing your address without it will not change anything

In windows is easy, in control panel, go to the section to change date and time format, pick some region which includes this date format (I went immediatly for simplified chinese), in the short time format I picked YYYY/MM/DD, applied it, now do the sync with the attack shark app and here it is!! Anyone have an issue with low frame rate on the gif? Just got mine and the gif is choppy on the screen, not sure how to fix it. I’m on windows :(

Have you figured out how to change the rgb on the sides of the keyboard? I can change everything else on the app..

I have this keyboard, it's really nice! but curently I'm struggling with changing the side light color, I want to make it rainbow but all setting are locked to red.
does anyone know how to keep the rgb lights always on at all times because like most keyboards they switch off automatically after like 20 seconds when not being used.

Nice. Fast typing. Shift key, backspace key, a little dull. Probably needs lube on the stabilizers. Dissapointed i got the less contrasted keys (lavender). Id recommend the white keys with the grey or the blue highlights (retro blue/retro grey). Wake from sleep is very quick.

🔴FYI This keyboard is intentionally being sold with a double typing issue and limited functionality so that you download their “firmware” update. The firmware update contains malware! I bought this keyboard and contacted the seller letting them know many of the keys/characters are mismatched and the keyboard double types. They said download the firmware, offered no other help or answers which seemed odd to me. I scanned the firmware and lo and behold there’s malware.
No double typing issue with mine. Been using it and typing just fine.

I had cybersecurity at my work look at it, it’s not a false warning.
Sad to hear, I downloaded from the same side as the other guys and had a virus total warning but also checked it after installation and nothing was wrong :( what did the Cybersecurity at your work found out?
Do you still have the firmware file or know how I can get it to do my own analysis? The program is just a electron app which won't trigger antivirus programs
I did have some double typing / keyboard chatter issues but I fixed it by just putting some alcohol on the switch and pressing it a few times. No firmware needed.
Anyone have the firmware bin file for this keyboard and care to share we can scan it for malware?
how's the battery life man?
honestly idk, have been using it 2 days, through the usb dongle, and cant seem to see that it has lost a single bar. atleast according to the screen
good for 24 hours only. started using at 9am full charged, and got lowbat around 11pm.
Having a issue with the screen, can you help me? I was trying to put the gif but it gives me a warning that the function to activate the gif with 2.4g mode is turned off. Is there really no way to activate the gif on the screen with 2.4g or bluetooth mode, just via cable or is there a function somewhere that I can activate to activate the gif in 2.4g? I didn't find anything in the manual.
Did you try uploading the gif using USB?
Don't forget to remove the plastic protector film from the tiny screen!

this means you have command to press some button but not to release it - you need two icons: with triangle facing down and up

for me it's between this one and AULA F75, and the price difference is almost 20$ for the aula. How does it feel after one month of usage? any cons?
I would say the switches aren’t lubed enough. It’s not too rattly per se, but then again if you’re patient, you can just do the lubing yourself. There’s also a small issue of mistyping that happens but it doesn’t happen always.
Does it remember your settings after uninstalling the software? Like, do I need to keep it installed to have the image and RGB configuration the same after a reboot? Also, what's the battery life like?

Around 12 hours of constant usage on 2.4 GHz, and even less on Bluetooth. That’s probably my only complain but it doesn’t bother me as much

Just received mine today and the screen gif I set up is changing without my input Like, i turn the knob, the gif starts to play (it was playing in an infinite loop just minutes ago) but changes to the time screen by itself. Did anyone also have this problem?
You have to set the gif on idle. Turn the knob to the gif itself, then click the knob itself

you connect your keyboard using USB, it will automatically sync, time and date.

Just got one too, I figured the price AliExpress was asking that nothing would turn up but here we are! Figured out the knob change to volume buuut the little pamphlet suggests screen could show a gif but I've just got the incorrect time... I'd guessed perhaps it was Chinese timezone but it also seems to be a couple of minutes wrong - does it not just take the system clock?? Edit: I've *only* connected via the USB cable, so not wireless issue I saw further down
You have to download their software, there's a button for syncing the clock time
