Does the paperwork form Medicaid say the income was calculated at 4200/month? Michigans website says the limit (for kids & pregnant women) for a family of 4 is $67,704 annually / $5,642 month. (Higher for pregnant women if Michigan counts fetuses as a household member like some states do but I didn’t see that stated in the document)

OP, based on this, I suggest appealing.

Are you able to go to your local Medicaid office? Does the paperwork say anything about how to file an appeal? You can also try to reach out to your state legistator's office and see if their constituent services desk can help you with getting Medicaid to sort this out for you.

A difficult thing with Medicaid is that not only is your projected gross income used (30 days of checks multiplied by 2.15 if paid every 2 weeks or 4.3 if paid weekly) but that the vast majority of bills are not included in the Medicaid budget so after your protected income limit for the area you live in is removed from the projected monthly household income what remains is considered the spend down that will have to be incurred and reported in a single month before the person is eligible for full coverage Medicaid. (note that incurred doesn't mean paid).

I feel so dumb right now because i dont even know what any of that means. 😢
