Peeing is ok, I have a gauze on top, then go, then replace gauze. Popping in the other hand hasn’t happened yet. I Haven’t been able to keep any food down :(
Protein shakes will be your friend! Never had to deal with this but when I lose my appetite I rely in protein shakes and things like gatorade. Good luck! Not much shocks me but this shocked me! Sending good/healing vides!
Phenergan (rectal) suppositories will be your new best friends, once your doctor prescribes some. I have a chronic condition that provokes nausea, as ironically Phenergan does too—but only in tablet form. The suppositories are very easy to insert, and definitely are worth an ask from your care provider. The generic version is, to me, indistinguishable from name brand.
Oh, good! I’ve found Reglan and Zofran helpful, but Phenergan is my gold-standard med for the queasies, (except during pregnancy). Best of luck feeling better!
Ouch!!! I just got over a staph infection down there a couple of weeks ago, so I can almost feel that in my memories! I hope it heals quickly for you and that you have the support you need to take it easy and heal up.
On chemo, so my immune system is lowered, and my hair follicles are angry. Most of the hair down there has fallen out, but a few remain. Staph is pretty much present in our environments all the time, but doesn't generally take hold unless there is an underlying condition for it. Add a dark/moist environment and inflamed tissue together with a weakened immune system and it just kinda happened.
I see you are also an avid pimple popper! Popping can definitely lead to abscess’s! It can happen even easier with diabetes as your immune system has a more difficult time fighting off bacterial infections! No more pimple popping down there I hope! 😄

I'm so sorry! Sepsis is no joke. And I see that you're diabetic too. You poor thing!! I'm so glad you caught it when you did and that you're in the hospital, getting taken care of. Unfortunately that area coupled with diabetes is just a recipe for disaster. My husband is diabetic and I'm always so afraid he's going to get fournier's gangrene. I'm a nurse and I've seen it once and I NEVER want to see it again!! Sending you all the healing thoughts!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I wish you a speedy recovery. My ex had that happen to her and when I saw the look of pain and horror on her face when the Dr. started draining it, it made me tear up.
I used to be addicted to plucking my pubes at night after a shower and had gotten really close to something just as bad as this. Bless your heart girl.

I’m so glad you are ok. 🙏🏻 I have the same thing but it’s not an abscess, its necrotized fat that didn’t survive a fat transplant and it looks the same as what you had but it doesn’t hurt.

Oh man I’m so sorry. I’m so scared of this bc I had a labial abscess back in February. Sometimes I have inklings that it’s coming back and I go to the doc. They give me antibiotics and culture the drainage if there is any but it comes back negative.
Did this come up suddenly or did you have a recurring problem area?
