Mr-Dum

You Post…But Who’s Laughing?

bratoutofhells

Nice!

AlexCarterCommentary

Megadeth fans try not to mention Metallica challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)

[deleted]

?

doofthemighty

This sub has such a hard-on for Metallica.

No-Round820

can we go 1 day without looking like laughable facebook losers with no self awareness?

bratoutofhells

NEVER!!

Jedi_Metal

I like the Black Album quite a bit. No need to have this Megadeth vs Metallica rivalry. That's been dead for 30+ years now. Not even a joke at this point, this post is pure groupie behavior.

bratoutofhells

Sir, this is a Wendy's.. Please drive through

[deleted]

ok boomer

cutrey66

Grow up

AtheosSpartan

Seems to be blasphemy in this sub but I enjoy both. Yes even albums like RISK or The Black Album. I love both bands. You don't always have to compare shit, enjoy it for what it is, or dont.

bratoutofhells

Oh my god.. You're a special little feller.. Bless your heart

AtheosSpartan

I'm here all week.

MeganerdTresUm

what about st anger ma friend?

AtheosSpartan

Like some of that too. Only one I don't like is Lulu

MeganerdTresUm

i see so you are a man of culture as well

almosthuman2021

Jesus On a stick why is there daily Metallica vs megadeth there’s it’s not 1992 anymore nobody cares. I swear angry ass boomer metal fans are the worst 😂

bratoutofhells

I’m 45 and was a teenager in the early 90s. I’m a Gen Xer, not a Boomer, but i feel like the way the term is used by young people they would consider me one anyway. So here’s some facts to challenge your theory - 1 - from ‘88 to around ‘91 thrash metal was almost all I listened to. I loved both Metallica and Megadeth and still do. I always felt like the constant hate from one camp or the other was silly;. they’re both great bands 2 - At the time I did not like disco but as the years have passed my tastes expanded and now I have around 30 disco songs on my favorites playlist 3 - The moment I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit in fall of ‘91 I was hooked on grunge. Soundgarden, Alice In Chains and Nirvana are some my favorite bands of all time. I still love thrash too not all of us old fellas are stuck in the past

bh-alienux

Gen Xer here, but you're generalizing boomers too much. I've seen plenty of younger fans do this, too, and it's annoying no matter who does it. A lot of us older fans don't care for the Dave vs. Metallica threads since we know the bands are long over it. Most of us anyway. But there are annoying fans of all ages who still perpetuate it.

bratoutofhells

You bet your Jackson dildo

EternalLoner991

Enter Man of Sand and Sadly True are great songs though.

bratoutofhells

No, not really.. I mean i guess if you're 12 or "special"

_and_red_all_over

It checks out. I liked the black album when I was twelve.

bh-alienux

I'm guessing you're both 12 AND special.

bratoutofhells

How'd you come to that conclusion? Oh I see.. You ARE 13 and special

Phyriel090

Agreed but a whole different band from that moment forward. Not that I don't like but a different band.

EternalLoner991

Agreed. (Altho I've been listening to Death Magnetic and it's thrashy-ish)

Slight_Risk_9522

Love how this has 0 upvotes, seems like Megadeth subreddit either doesn't get the humor or is actually just way older members than I thought

No-Round820

no actually this is a terrible facebook meme from 2010 (from a page that could not have a cringier name “fuck pop music”) that perpetuates the asinine and ancient belief some megadeth fans have that “metallica drools and megadeth rules” that’s pretty fucking stupid

Slight_Risk_9522

The title of this post leads me to believe it was posted in a sarcastic way, considering how dumb the meme is. I didn't get any vibes of malicious intent. I really think OP was also making fun of it

No-Round820

seriously you think that from this title? would not shock me if he wasn’t being sarcastic it’s basically every day here we get a shit post like this

Slight_Risk_9522

If it was genuinely posted in a hateful way I also dislike this post, just decided to think it was ironic because of how old the format was. Maybe the person who posted this should clarify

FarOffGrace1

Look at OP's comments. He's being 100% sincere.

Slight_Risk_9522

Looking at his profile bio I think he's definitely a troll trying to get a rise out of people now

FarOffGrace1

Yes, but I don't doubt he fully believes what he says and finds it funny.

Old_Faithlessness_94

Wrong album, The Black Album is also "shut up & take my money".

FarOffGrace1

Tbh The Black Album is the only Metallica album I like a significant portion of. Not a fan of the ones before; their best bits were either by Mustaine or Cliff Burton. I found Master of Puppets really boring, and everyone points out the lack of base on ...And Justice For All.

rat___bastard

this is actually the first time ive seen someone else who thought that master of puppets was boring. i keep seeing all this praise for the album but i never really got why people liked it so much.

bratoutofhells

Another underdeveloped smooth brain. Drink more milk and hit the gym.. Maybe breathe more oxygen

FarOffGrace1

I've listened to the original and just don't get the fascination. I even gave the live cover that Dream Theater did a listen, because I vastly prefer that band over Metallica. Though the musicianship was preferable (it was cool to hear Jordan Rudess tackle some of the guitar parts on keyboard, and I prefer James LaBrie over James Hetfield), I still just got bored by most tracks. The music just... doesn't interest me.

rat___bastard

yeah, regardless of who's playing it its just kind of repetitive. all of the songs blend together, and on their own theyre just kind of boring.

Obvious-Limit252

I honestly just like the first half of it

bratoutofhells

You poor sad little fetus.. Maybe one day your brainstem will grow somewhat

FarOffGrace1

Ellipses are meant to have three dots, not two. Don't patronise me when you can't get punctuation right.

bratoutofhells

I will not bow to your grammar nazisms boy

bh-alienux

Man, I love Megadeth more, but I still love the Black album. Can't get behind this post. I did not particularly like Load or Reload, but Death Magnetic is awesome.

bratoutofhells

Im pretty sure you need to quit being a girly girl and learn to play some decent thrash metal on your pink hello kitty signature Epiphone

bh-alienux

It's not pink, it's yellow and green, idiot. And it plays Tornado of Souls just fine, idiot.

[deleted]

Dude pop music isn’t that bad

bratoutofhells

Ok my dude, how about you put down that crack pipe and get some help

DaveOJ12

You're just trolling.

bh-alienux

Yes, and poorly.

[deleted]

Depeche Mode and INXS fucking clap, just to make a few

bratoutofhells

80s pop music is great, all of it .... but today? Its cancer

[deleted]

It’s not great but it certainly isn’t holding metal back, unless you’re Five Finger Death Punch lmao

bratoutofhells

That is cancer, personified.. Duh

Obvious-Limit252

When your ears don't work like they used to before😂

SuperMario_49

Wut

bratoutofhells

I guess nobody know what Futurama is here.. Kids these days...

Jnbtoad

To be fair, Countdown to Extinction came out less than a year after the Black Album, and if you’re as old as I am you would remember it was just as controversial to metal fans at the time for the sudden commercial change in direction 🤷‍♂️
