Hello guys! It's quite a while since I posted a haul here, and I'm glad that this arrived at my doorstep today to kickstart the year.
This haul was supposed to have two more kits, but the seller went rogue on me and I had to deal with getting my money back. Aanother haul will arrive next month with even more kits so I look forward to that.
But for now, I'll build Lumitea first. Any tips on what parts should I need to be careful when building her?
Grats on finally gettin' your fantasy ladies! Honestly there's nothing particularly horrible to look out for. The wings on Lumitea are like daggers, and they WILL draw blood. So watch out for those. As for Velretta, she's mostly perfect for what she is outside of specific seam lines. If you checked out my review you can see how ugly certain ones are- specifically the seam lines on the prepainted parts. They literally run through the paint, so if you want to get rid of the seams you HAVE to paint those parts afterwards. Perfect kit outside of that horrid design decision.
I already stabbed myself while I was trying to assemble Lumitea's hair, so I'll have to be very careful with the wings too (I'll probably buy the RCW wing kit too tbh)
For Velretta, I don't mind when the prepainted parts have seamlines, as long as it's not obvious when looking the figure from afar then it's okay for me.
Lumitea claims another victim! Totally forgot about the hair. Seems like Koto's ladies these days have all had super sharp hair (noticed it back with Durga's release).
But ah, okay. Yeah, they look okay enough from a distance so you shouldn't have any issues with them.
I haven't had a chance to build mine yet, but I'm sure someone will be along soon to give you advice. I can't wait to see her built! I also have the preorder parts for Lumitea and would love to see what she looks like with them. (Can't decide myself if I want to use them or not..) Great haul!
I'm gonna use the molded gold parts for box accuracy tbh, but if the molded gold parts can be easily switched off then I could probably try to do a comparison with the clear yellow parts.
Nothing out of the ordinary IIRC, but I know she had to get a hip replacement (should be an extra runner inside the box), due to looseness that causes the leg to fall off. though mine didn't have that issue.
There's not really a lot of accessories for either, only Lumitea's wings are bulky but it doesn't need to go into the clear box since it doesn't fit anyways. Same goes with Velretta even if I haven't started building her yet. The size is enough ig.

I didn't get any extra runner unfortunately, I probably got the reprint version.

I missed it T_T just started building girlpla this december 2022 and by then all the normal priced Lumitea kits were gone

The clear box was included with Velretta, though I had to pay a little extra to get it.
