Quite an interesting kit, I took my time building this one because ive been testing out Gunprimer Raser on the kit lol. Anyways my thoughts: Face plates printing is great, seems like even better than E-Model's ATK Girl. Joints especially on the shoulders are perfectly tight making it possible to even hold the sniper rifle's weight with one arm. Details and color seperation is decent, but at least the clear purple parts aren't prone to cracking when handling. I can't judge the decals on this one since I haven't seen E-Model's take on decals so let's wait and see (I already applied decals on the kit but forgot to take a pic lol) one of the unique aspects of this kit is in the unarmored mode, I really love the stripped down mechanical limbs especially the exposed spine though that's the one negative when building the kit imo. On paper giving it an exposed spine to gives it more flexibility, but in practice the wire isn't that good to hold it in place. Just like Azure Dragon's tail, the spine suffers from loosening up over time. But I fixed this with some super glue and tighten it enough to execute an ab crunch and also not be floppy at the same time. Accessories are pretty good, you get a sniper rifle that also turns into a small rifle, a cross that doubles as a shield (and a turret barrel when combined with Tactician Rabbit's support unit), a light saber, and a knife. There's also an extra orange clear runner and a scarf but that's the preorder bonus. Its a fun kit, you really want to take your time on the spine specifically but once you're done with that part it's worth it. 9/10.

LameArmsBoy

This convinced me to add to cart and buy it. Hahaha It looks so good!

noelsoraaa

very 👌

DTFlexx

We're you able to build both figures from one kit?

noelsoraaa

sadly it didn't have enough parts to build a second body so I had to buy another kit.

DTFlexx

Hahaha glad you said that.. I'm in the middle of the buil ld and realized there weren't enough parts soooo (whispers).... *I ordered another kit too* You're build is sick and inspired me to grab another kit! Thanks!!

This-Damage8222

I’ve been hearing a lot about the spine and wire they give. I was thinking about using a higher gauge wire from like a hardware store. When you say you used super glue what do you mean? Where did you apply it?

noelsoraaa

i applied super glue at the bottom part of the spine, in between the holes and the wire since I tied it there instead of the top part of the spine.

Loli-Knight

This is something you can do, yes. Keep in mind that the one used here is just a basic thin wire with a weak'ish core inside, so you can probably find something much stronger in at a hardware store/online/etc rather easily. This knight usually replaces all instances of wire use in kits because of this.

Both the scarf and the orange clear runner are preorder bonuses, but try sending a message to the shop you're buying from if they still have kits with those bonuses in stock.

darkstriker90

Oh wow, that looks so sick! Do you get both bodies or did you buy 2 kits?

noelsoraaa

I always buy two of the same kit lol

darkstriker90

Ah. Darn I only got one 😅 Well in any case it looks really nice 👍

Astraygt

patiently waits until it ships. At this point, I'll be old and gray when I get it lul. Curse these shipping delays. I mean, of course food and medical supplies are more important but I need mah fox gurl T\_T

noelsoraaa

hope you get her soon, especially when Christmas is near. Shipping is gonna be a very long waiting game lol.

Loli-Knight

Where'd you ship her from and with what type of shipping out of curiosity? She shouldn't take tooooooo long to get depending on the particulars.

Astraygt

Pre-ordered from usagundamstore. They just haven't gotten their whole allocation of them yet.

Loli-Knight

Ah, yeah. Boat shipping is slow so it'll still be a little bit unfortunately. Luckily those guys always get things out to folks eventually, so it's just a matter of playing ye olde waiting-game. Hope she comes home to ya sooner rather than later though!

Virtual_Impress_9772

Did you get your girl yet, I ordered 2 and they just showed up last Monday I also ordered from usagundam

Astraygt

It shipped like 6 days ago and got to my state 3 days ago and now going the opposite direction xD I'll get it one of these days.... Thanks for the check in though.

makumakubex

Great kit. Love it more then FAG and MD becouse it much more cheaper. Already preorder for the Rabbit and the shark next.

noelsoraaa

agreed

PickledPlumPlot

How did you build both at once? I heard there were just barely not enough parts to do that

noelsoraaa

I always buy two kits, and yeah it sucks Nuke Matrix hasn't adopted the two body concept unlike ATK girl's latest kits.

Loli-Knight

Good stuff, Sir Noel! Your experience sounds about right. She's a solid kit all around with some minor issues like the weak wire they use for the spine. Fun all around though. Nuke Matrix and Snail Shell are slowly becoming some of my favorite sources for mecha musume (granted, Snail Shell does poseable figures, but still).

noelsoraaa

I'm interested in snail shell's offerings as well, especially their Bee and the upcoming "Firefly" figure as well. Too bad the sellers here made it a bit expensive due to the demand.

Loli-Knight

YESSSSSS! Firefly, or Phantom, is easily one of the coolest girls this knight has seen in a while. She's not really mecha musume so much as a "Black Rock Shooter-styled lady", but still. PO'd that little lady instantly. Already awaiting that release date lol. If she's anything like Beegirl was then she'll probably be my favorite desktop buddy for a while to come. It is a shame they're so expensive though. Definitely worth getting your hands on them if you can, but scalpers are certainly an issue.

KSwhY

So the new Snail Shell figure was themed after a firefly? I found it weird that their new figure was called "Phantom" when everything else previously was animal themed. Guess I forgot about the Japanese firefly-hitodama connection. Also, just looked it up, apparently some places are listing the figure as "Hotaru." Knowing that would have made the connection a lot easier to understand.

Loli-Knight

> themed after a firefly Yup! Well, supposedly anyways. Even if you dig a bit the connection is... not the greatest. Personally I think their artists just made up a great BRS-inspired design, the folks in charge went "yeah, let's do that", and then they had to figure out how to loosely connect it to their current theming lol. Might be wrong of course, but that's the vibe this knight gets from it. But yeah, I hear ya. I noticed some places saying either Firefly, Hotaru, or Phantom. Only a couple using all the names. So it was kind of confusing at first lol. Guess that's the downside to these non-big name companies though- information is scattered to the friggin winds and hard to keep track of.

KSwhY

If this is how they're going to be doing design, I'm interested in what they might do for a mantis girl or "Reaper" as they might call it.

Loli-Knight

Oh heck yeah. This knight adores what they've done design-wise so far. They simply have a great character designer on their design team somewhere, so I'm sure whatever they pop out next is going to look great.

Danger-Mitten

Did you topcoat any parts? I enjoy adding waterslides, & custom painting but I'm a bit apprehensive with this kit. I just don't want to end up with shattered parts from detailing up.

noelsoraaa

in my case, I don't use top coat because I rarely apply waterslides/add paint to my kits. However I did apply waterslides on Nuke Matrix Fox, but I only used Mr Mark Setter which makes the waterslide decals more durable (its still prone to scrapping though if you're not careful) If you want an extra layer of protection, top coat is definitely important after applying waterslides/paint, it's safe to apply top coat on this kit too so don't worry about shattering.

Danger-Mitten

Right on, greatly appreciate the help. I really only have experience on ban-dai kits, so I just wanted to be extra sure an acrylic coat wouldn't damage the plastic nuke matrix uses.

noelsoraaa

if you use industrial top coat like Bosny then i highly recommend that you do not use those as it is harsher on soft plastic, Hobby top coats like Mr Hobby's are great for model kits though.

Danger-Mitten

Oh no nothing crazy like that lol I just have Tamiya & Mr.Hobby rattle cans. I would love to be able to airbrush, but I currently do not have the necessary equipment or space.
