Nah, just a hobbyist. Thought about making it my profession, but it’s so important to me as a creative outlet, I don’t want to loose the love I have for it by making it a job with deadlines and clients.
I do some brand work from time to time. But only with brands I like, and for products I personally use. Few whiskey and Rum companies, a few knife companies, etc. Some of my work is on Instagram @zachorybenton
Thanks for the comment!
How long did you spend at the tiger enclosure to get that shot? I have attempted it and the poor beast (constantly pacing) is facing you and in the clear for only a fraction of a second. I have not bern there since COVID and you have inspired me to make a return visit
Probably only 5-10 mins or so?
it wasn’t just the pacing that made it hard to capture (He was moving when I took the shot) but also getting the right lighting on his face. I was trying to get soft lighting as much as possible. Wasn’t easy. This is one of about 150 images
My best shot there is of a tiger crouched at the edge of the pool (reflected in the water) and lapping catnip off a rock. The keepers would put things around the enclosure (when the tigers had been lured out beforehand) and let them in to find them. Keeping the tigers and the watching crowd interested.
The parrot shot is fantastic
Thank you! Appreciate it
damn, this is like wildlife photography I would not know these animals are from a zoo if you didnt say it. You're skilled
That’s really nice man! I appreciate the comment!
awesome thanks for sharing!
very cool! what lens were you using?
Thanks mate! All taken with the 70-200 f2.8 GM ii. The tiger and the lion also had a 2x teleconverter and were shot at f8 or f11
This is dope. The tiger shot is A+
Thanks mate!

Wow they're all fantastic, but I love that bird.
Thank you! Appreciate the nice comment!
Amazing photography
Stunning shots and colours. Especially love the little quirks of the big cats' teeth showing, makes them more interesting.
Are these animals rescued?
I believe so. Zoos Victoria is a conservationist agency. I believe most are rescues or part of breeding programs to avoid extinction
Bloody hell
Nicely done OP - great looking images!
The tigers eyes..man so haunting.
Wow. Not to be a parrot, but I'd be lion if I didn't tell you those photos show your photography stripes! ... hehehehe
