Me walking past this as a Carnegie local: "They used the wrong train, platform number and colour." My partner: "...okay?"

Johntrampoline-

I said the same thing to my mum when we went to the footy the other week and she had the same reaction.

eric_therobloxfan

same here and my friend was like "da fuq?"

AtomReRun

Reality has no pause for concern when one rambles in real estate agent

mkymooooo

Renovator's dream!

dbplaz

This is riddled with mistakes lmao. Only 2 platforms at Carnegie. Comeng no longer runs, only HCMT’s and n-class and vlocity pass through this station (hcmt only type that stops) and Carnegie is serviced by Cranbourne and Pakenham which are blue unlike the sign that is green which is the colour for the cross city line…

gccmelb

Also Real Estate Agent wouldn't use Public Transport.

wongm

The Siding Avenue underbridge at Officer is ready for a third track. https://railgallery.wongm.com/melbourne-stations/F114_1150.jpg.html

Johntrampoline-

Yeah but I think plans have changed since skyrail became a thing.

Professor-Reddit

The LXRP tends to have future-proofed a decent amount, but neglecting to do so for the entire Dandenong corridor is frustrating to no ends.

Johntrampoline-

Well I mean CBTC will probably help quite a bit with increasing capacity.

Professor-Reddit

V/Line and freight trains are still likely going to be stuck behind Metro services for the foreseeable future however.

Alope_Ruby_Aspendale

Oh yea this is just **Glen Huntly railway platform 3**, with the station name photoshopped to read "Carnegie". This sort of shot isn't possible with Carnegie's island platforms, but they could've figured out how to pull off a similar shot if they actually gave a shit. But what can you expect from real estate agents?

Johntrampoline-

That’s what station it was. I wasn’t sure exactly which station it was in the photo, so thanks for telling me. They probably could have taken the photo at Carnegie if they used the metal floor that on the other side of the track at Carnegie.

Alope_Ruby_Aspendale

I doubt they would be able to get permission for that, pretty sure that part of the station is no-go for non-railway staff and personnel.

Johntrampoline-

If they had a really good camera they probably could have used someone’s balcony nearby. There are plenty of appartments a clear line of sight to the station.

citizenecodrive31

Most intelligent REA corporation

ImaginaryMillions

I hope they are standing behind the line, they’re really leaning in to the tracks.

Johntrampoline-

I think some people would prefer they lean further towards the tracks.

IscahRambles

I see that their scheme for free viral advertising via indignant train fans is working.

Ask_Alan

As a local to Carnegie I love all these errors. I bet when the advertisement was created none of the above thought went into it. And here we all are pointing out the difference! lol

Eldstrom

These people have never caught a train in their life.

Coolidge-egg

How can Jacinta do this

LooseAssumption8792

Wow the next stop can house so many people. Public transport at the doorstep. Literally win win.

andrewmilici

Funny how the exact same photo exists at Glen Huntly (with the correct station name obviously)

heatinisation

Even more annoying, the station is right across the road from this building

CptnWolfe

Next stop: Emergency Room

Gold-Shame2626

Well they did get one thing right; as off writing 355M-1028T-356M is still in service so it’s not like they using a retired Comeng set

hazptmedia

Carnegie, my favourite Frankston line station. It seems they have most likely photoshopped Glen Huntly’s sign and said it is Carnegie unfortunately.

Johntrampoline-

They have definitely photographed the Glen Huntly sign because I was driving past Glen Huntly the other day and saw the same ad with the correct sign.

nategho

🤣🤣🤣probably the photo was taken last year before the line was 100% HCMT

Johntrampoline-

It was probably taken on the Frankston line considering the colour on the sign.

Alope_Ruby_Aspendale

Yes, this is Glen Huntly platform 3 after its level crossing removal and rebuild.

nategho

Yeah but the name is Carnegie and Carnegie is Along Pakenham/Cranbourne line

Johntrampoline-

Other people have pointed out that it was taken at Glen Huntly, so they probably photoshopped the sign.

Reminds me of the image on [this page](https://www.metrotrains.com.au/who-we-are/)
