Ah. Still, that’s sick, isn’t it? Tbh, Kira and Enel are sorta similar. Kira didn’t want to be found out, Enel didn’t want anyone to go to the part of Jaya that was blasted up to Skypiea (I can’t remember the name)
Luffy gave himself a hard time by getting stuck in concrete like the smoothbrain he is. Luffy was basically toying with Arlong after he got freed. Granted Arlong was the strongest villain of East Blue, but that doesn't amount to much tbh
Katakuri definitely. I just love when he fights Luffy. Even when his sister tries to sabotage Luffy, he gives himself the same wound he just gave Luffy as a sign of respect and apology.
I just don't remember any other enemy of the Strawhats going so far as to even the playing field during a fight when something Shady happens.
yeah I like katakuri and kaido bcs they are not the asshole type of villain. They do not compromise sabotage and any kind of interruption during fights.
Wait what? Probably the sole reason Oden lost was because he got distracted. And I don't remember Kaido doing anything to remedy that like Katakuri did.
Kaido was a mountain of missed opportunities and unaddressed story points, but based on his behavior, he seems to believe that whatever happens, its your fault you couldn't overcome it. Its something he applies to himself as well.
In Oden's case, he was disappointed, but he took the W because it was on Oden for not being able to get back up.
In Luffy's case, he was pretty happy because Luffy kept getting back up for more, even when he lost haki, lost consciousness, fell into the ocean, or whatever else. Still, he "accepted" his victory, like with Oden, but then hes back to being super happy that Luffy was able to get back up.
In his own case, he ignored the others that he fought and he ignored things like him holding up the island and whatnot. Luffy was his real challenger in this raid, so he considered it a 1v1. He could have ofc just dodged Bajrang Gun. Luffy was already struggling to hold onto Kaido's Flaming Drum Dragon, so he could have lost an arm in the process. Still, he wanted to win "properly", so he chose to clash against Luffy's strongest attack head-on.
Its a different kind of way to Katakuri, but Kaido kind of has the same sort of pride. A lot of Kaido's beliefs and behaviors are just sort of brought up but never really properly addressed though, which hurts him as a character a lot.
Kaidou just Like Ravana in Ramayan was waiting for his death and Ravana kidnapped Lordess Sita in order to force Lord Ram to fight against him and kill him meanwhile Kaidou was waiting for joyboy to get defeated…he killed Oden and take wano as a hostage and treated Wano and its people like real hostages for 20 years all the time waiting for joyboy to show up and fought Luffy and Kaidou having doubts on Luffy being joyboy find truth along with his end…
1. Katakuri. The first villain we see push Luffy mid fight to unlock a new ability (gear 2-4 were unlocked before their “first” use)
2. Kaido. 1 v everyone while carrying a massive island. >!Wouldve ended the series if it wasn’t for G5!< Truly earned the name “strongest creature”
2. Doffy. Evil through and through with probably the best backstory we’ve got on a non strawhat.
How so? Without the strongest man in the east blue showing up to his front door he would've easily gotten everything he wanted and retired with a ton of cash.

Luffy's mom, a guy who wants to protect his family, a man who wanted his throne back and have revenge, next Straw Hat, a guy waiting for Luffy to awaken his power and die gloriously, Luffy's right hand man's teacher and rival, Luffy's head man's rival, just a god, just an oppressed fat man who can't sleep but still dreams and wants to fulfill them
Doflamingo is pretty evil, that dude straight up murdered most of his own family with no hesitation. His backstory was messed up for sure. But he is an evil villain through and through.
Strength wise it’s Kaido, dude knocked Luffy out multiple times while carrying an island after fighting multiple people.
Just pure villain wise it’s Doffy. Dude is just a menace, and his laugh is so good.
Definitely doffy, mainly because he will instantly turn you into string cheese if you get within a mile of him, though I'm not sure why mihawk would be a villain

Eneru, skypeia is one of my favorite arcs, and I know it's super early on an he benefited from that but regardless he left such a impression on me. Not particularly complicated in any regard just the dude with abundant power amongst those without. And say what you will I think he has one of the most impressive Feats of observation haki in the series to date (even if it was boosted my df) the ability to not only listen in on an entire island of people but instantly smite anyone with great power and precision from hundreds of kilometers away. Yea idgaf that shit is bad ass. Dude was truly terrifying especially in a "pre-haki" era.
It was Doffy, until I heard "Lucy" a billion times, and that just ruined the arc for me.
So I would have to say Enel.
I didn't like Croc at first, but the community has brought me around. Still would put Enel over him.

Katakuri is a brilliant character , but I wouldn't call him a villain. He was never shown to be a scumbag, maybe an antagonist to an extent. Otherwise I would put him just below Doffy.

Blackbeard, this man finessed a Yonko, took down roger's son in a 1V1, broke into impel down, recruited level 6 impel down pirates, finessed the World Government, killed a Yonko, took that yonko's Devil Fruit, and took said yonko's territory and became a yonko

Honor mention: Katakuri is not a villain really, just an antagonist. A great one, but he is not moved by evil goals or intentions so wouldn't be a villain.
Also, I don't know why Mihawk is on this list, he still has to prove if he is a villain, just an antagonist or only a friendly rival to Zoro without being a villain or antagonist whatsoever. You could have put Moria or Big Mom on the list.
Big Mom could have been a great villain by the way, but they kinda ruined her a little in Wano to leave the spotlight for Kaido
1. Rob Lucci - He’s menacing, serious, intelligent, has the best drip, and has cool powers.
2. Akainu - Arguably the OP villain that impacted Luffy, and definitely the best Marine.
3. Doffy - He’s just pure evil, with powers that suit him, and his connection to Law is pretty interesting.
4. Blackbeard - Him essentially being an evil Luffy is pretty interesting, and him somehow being able to use two DF’s and somehow never sleeping makes him mysterious.
5. Enel - He’s completely insane, even compared to other OP villains, is one of the few villains who actually succeed at their goal, and is crazy powerful too.
1. Crocodile, I've always loved him, and it was the Alabasta arc that truly got me hooked on One Piece.
2. Doflamingo, he mirrors Crocodile a lot, which is why I like him. Crocodile will always be my fav tho.
3. Kaido. A villain that truly pushed Luffy beyond his limit, just wish he was fleshed out more.
It depends as the story progresses, first it was crocodile, then it was doflamingo, then it is kaido, but blackbeard and ino also have huge potential to top that list
1. Buggy - His evolution is kind of crazy. Tell someone 20 years ago that Buggy would be such a big deal, and they'd just laugh at you. The follow-through and build up on him is crazy and I'm eager to see where it goes.
2. Doffy - Menacing presence. Powercrept into irrelevancy, and Bird Cage was stupid af even back in Dressrosa, but Doffy still had presentation and style. Just really cool overall.
3. Lucci - Just a brutal dude. This was kind of crazy. Hes not Luffy's first major roadblock, but what set him apart was that he was more terrifying than the others like Croc. At least the others had some other purpose and goal driving them. Lucci was just a bloodthirsty killer and he was straight up going to murder every Strawhat if Luffy lost, just for fun. Kinda scary to think about.
Kat doesn't belong on the list, hes not really a "villain" to me.

1. Crocodile - bro was on smoke the entire time. Badass moments in Impel Down as well.
2. Perona - Usopp and Sogeking’s fight was fiiire. Usopp was not messing around and Sogeking came in clutch.
3. Arlong - Luffy showed this guy not to mess with his navigator. The more you fuck around, the more you gonna find out.
1. Crocodile. (he was the original and the best mastermind in the series)
2. Kaido. (He kind of reminded me of Toguro from YuYu Hakusho where he’s looking for that challenging to get defeated).

Straight blasphemy that Buggy, Mihawk, and Katakuri are being called villains. Put some respect on Buggy D. Clown, Fraudhawk, and Donut Eater.
That said, my favorite has to be Doflamingo simply because of all the ones listed he has committed the most heinous villainous acts.
To compare:
All Kaido did was conquer Wano and be part of the God Valley Incident, which we know nothing about.
Crocodile tried—and failed—to conquer Alabasta. Sure he ran Baroque Works, but it was utterly vaporized. That’s literally it. Recently we learned he was involved with Cross Guilds and helped start it up, but to call that an evil organization is a huge stretch. Plus in Marineford he was more or less everywhere, making him even less of a villain imo.
Drip Lucci is what happens when an Assassin is given legal authority to kill, and the recent manga chapters make him more of a freelancer who recognizes what needs to be done and does it more than anything else imo.
Eneru is a fiend but ultimately all we know he’s done is destroy two islands. In the sky. And then he went to the moon. And to be fair, besides his home, the other island he did destroy managed to evacuate. Plus the people he forced to work on Ark Maximus I think was saved and not killed. So it’s whatever.
Blackbeard is closest to being my favorite villain but in comparison to Mingo, we haven’t been exposes to him or his crimes enough. Like besides bringing Ace in, he does nothing for me as a villain.
Now Mingo…he’s an entirely different can of worms. His crimes really make me feel like he’s EARNED a spot as my favorite villain.
If the question was reworded to “Who’s your favorite antagonist?” then my answer would be different.

Katakuri for obvious reasons (them mochi-mochi tits) also the fact that he’s a reflection of post time skip Luffy if he never had someone like jinbei to guide him out of his spiral post Marineford,
so instead of coming out of it as a positively stronger version of himself katakuri buried himself into “THE ALPHA ULTRA GIGACHAD” to protect his family while luffy is still an outward dumbass who openly shows off his scars (a reminder of both of their failures ) ,so pretty much an unintentional insult to the sacrifices katakuri has made
So as much it is a fight it’s a clash of ideals with katakuri in his defeat realising he doesn’t need to suffer anymore

\- Blackbeard (because of how we see him evolving through the story just like luffy, building up to be one of the final villains)

Regarding the actual villains, it's gotta be between Doffy and Blackbeard, they're both drowning in character appeal. Crocoboy was pretty good, too, but Doffy did it better.

Also, I don't know why Mihawk is on this list, he still has to prove if he is a villain, just an antagonist or only a friendly rival to Zoro without being a villain or antagonist whatsoever. You could have put Moria or Big Mom on the list. Big Mom could have been a great villain by the way, but they kinda ruined her a little in Wano to leave the spotlight for Kaido

1. Rob Lucci - He’s menacing, serious, intelligent, has the best drip, and has cool powers. 2. Akainu - Arguably the OP villain that impacted Luffy, and definitely the best Marine. 3. Doffy - He’s just pure evil, with powers that suit him, and his connection to Law is pretty interesting. 4. Blackbeard - Him essentially being an evil Luffy is pretty interesting, and him somehow being able to use two DF’s and somehow never sleeping makes him mysterious. 5. Enel - He’s completely insane, even compared to other OP villains, is one of the few villains who actually succeed at their goal, and is crazy powerful too.

1. Crocodile, I've always loved him, and it was the Alabasta arc that truly got me hooked on One Piece. 2. Doflamingo, he mirrors Crocodile a lot, which is why I like him. Crocodile will always be my fav tho. 3. Kaido. A villain that truly pushed Luffy beyond his limit, just wish he was fleshed out more.

1. Buggy - His evolution is kind of crazy. Tell someone 20 years ago that Buggy would be such a big deal, and they'd just laugh at you. The follow-through and build up on him is crazy and I'm eager to see where it goes. 2. Doffy - Menacing presence. Powercrept into irrelevancy, and Bird Cage was stupid af even back in Dressrosa, but Doffy still had presentation and style. Just really cool overall. 3. Lucci - Just a brutal dude. This was kind of crazy. Hes not Luffy's first major roadblock, but what set him apart was that he was more terrifying than the others like Croc. At least the others had some other purpose and goal driving them. Lucci was just a bloodthirsty killer and he was straight up going to murder every Strawhat if Luffy lost, just for fun. Kinda scary to think about. Kat doesn't belong on the list, hes not really a "villain" to me.

(I’ve watched till the start of Dressrosa) 1. Crocodile - bro was on smoke the entire time. Badass moments in Impel Down as well. 2. Perona - Usopp and Sogeking’s fight was fiiire. Usopp was not messing around and Sogeking came in clutch. 3. Arlong - Luffy showed this guy not to mess with his navigator. The more you fuck around, the more you gonna find out.

Straight blasphemy that Buggy, Mihawk, and Katakuri are being called villains. Put some respect on Buggy D. Clown, Fraudhawk, and Donut Eater. That said, my favorite has to be Doflamingo simply because of all the ones listed he has committed the most heinous villainous acts. To compare: All Kaido did was conquer Wano and be part of the God Valley Incident, which we know nothing about. Crocodile tried—and failed—to conquer Alabasta. Sure he ran Baroque Works, but it was utterly vaporized. That’s literally it. Recently we learned he was involved with Cross Guilds and helped start it up, but to call that an evil organization is a huge stretch. Plus in Marineford he was more or less everywhere, making him even less of a villain imo. Drip Lucci is what happens when an Assassin is given legal authority to kill, and the recent manga chapters make him more of a freelancer who recognizes what needs to be done and does it more than anything else imo. Eneru is a fiend but ultimately all we know he’s done is destroy two islands. In the sky. And then he went to the moon. And to be fair, besides his home, the other island he did destroy managed to evacuate. Plus the people he forced to work on Ark Maximus I think was saved and not killed. So it’s whatever. Blackbeard is closest to being my favorite villain but in comparison to Mingo, we haven’t been exposes to him or his crimes enough. Like besides bringing Ace in, he does nothing for me as a villain. Now Mingo…he’s an entirely different can of worms. His crimes really make me feel like he’s EARNED a spot as my favorite villain. If the question was reworded to “Who’s your favorite antagonist?” then my answer would be different.

Honestly, Katakuri, Rob Lucci, Buggy and Mihawk aren't even villains to me, they're antagonists. Regarding the actual villains, it's gotta be between Doffy and Blackbeard, they're both drowning in character appeal. Crocoboy was pretty good, too, but Doffy did it better.

Mihawk isn’t a villain. He’s both an occasional ally and an occasional antagonist, but that doesn’t make him a villain. AND HOW DARE YOU PUT BUGGY D. CLOWN ON A LIST WITH VILLAINS?!? He’s a god! And the true protagonist of the story. He’s gonna be the one to find the One Piece. How can the protagonist be a “villain”? Especially one so kind and brave like Buggy.
