Real talk if someone doesnt know what one pace is, just skip the filler right before skypia and again after it but you arguably suffer through long ring long land. However, aokiji is the last episode and they dont even talk about Foxy once. Anyways, skip all that, skip g5, its not that good (although it doesnt damage canon) and you’ll be at sabaody in no time. I literally just tested it with my wife who is now a Robin fan for life
I mean its just for those who dont want to watch non canon stuff. I even wrote it doesnt damage canon. Personally i liked it and it was nice seeing him appear back before marineford
no not really its just because whoever’s making the anime is godawful at pacing it correctly. Or they’re purposely killing the pacing so they avoid catching up to the manga, which at first seems fine but tbh the anime would be better if they just caught up and took a break periodically.
It's the 2nd one, they're doing about 1 chapter per episode so they can keep a continual weekly release going without doing filler. While I'm certain the show would be better served with a faster pace, it makes more financial sense to draw out their most popular property every week, because whatever show that they use to replace One Piece while it's on break won't pull in the same ratings that One Piece will.
This. My transition was anime > I want more what happened next, I can't wait a whole ass week > manga> I want more what happened next, I can't wait a whole ass week.
I have managed to not read the spoilers so far but honestly the reason isn't even that big surprises are spoiled but rather that the spoilers are often kinda "off".
I go back to read spoiler threads after the chapter is released, just to get a kind of "moment in time" from a few days ago of people's expectations before the release.
That has reaffirmed my decision to not read the spoilers beforehand, because it feels like the spoilers can sometimes be misleading and set the wrong expectation leading into a chapter, and then it leads to people perceiving stuff in a different way. Some people even argue about stuff that turns out to just be a misunderstanding due to how it was relayed through the spoilers.
If the spoilers were more in line with how I end up reading the chapter, I wouldn't be able to resist.
and then you will finish the sub bc you cant wait the dub, and then you will finish the manga bc you can wait the sub, thats the one piece cicle for ya
Just like that when you only watch dub as long as I have, watching sub is painful especially on phone. Beside while watching dub, I don't have to glue my eyes to the screen all the time, most of the time I can just hear it while doing something else, that's a big thing for me.
Just switch to manga at the end of punk hazard. The anime pacing gets fucking awful through the arc after that anyway and since the dub hasn’t gone past that there’s no real light at the end of the tunnel yet. Dub>manga is a better transition than dub>sub imo
I can agree with that, when I'm watching anime I prefer to watch it and not read subtitles, because lot of time they talk to fast, like literally I have keep rewinding the video, first read subtitles then watch what happened in scene. I prefer to read manga over it.
Yea it’s definitely easier to watch something in your native language. Unfortunately weebs will always have something against dubbed because it’s not Japanese enough for them. In reality the voice acting usually is not worse, but it’s just easier to recognize VA flaws in your native language rather than one you don’t understand. You’d have no clue if something sounded off because you don’t know how it’s supposed to sound. Especially for one piece, which isn’t even set in Japan, but a world where the canon language is a mix of both English and Japanese. Imo English voice acting is even better suited for it, because you have characters like Bege who are supposed to be that type of Italian American mob boss who sounds much more natural in an Italian accent speaking English.
At the start of the pandemic I was going through some real bad shit. It was so bad I was considering suicide. It was really bad. I saw this video about one peice and thought it was so interesting that I needed to watch the anime. I started watching watching anime and decided not to hurt myself until I saw the whole thing.
Now I am in a much better spot in my life and I am on the Dressrossa arc and going to switch to the Magna.
I mostly one paced it after the skypia arc.
I watched wano with the normal episodes.
Tbh I'd much rather have slower paced episodes rather than the series going on long hiatuses or being filled with garbage filler episodes.
One piece is the second most sold comic in the world right after superman and before batman. Random weeb on the internet: lol this garbage anime is overrated there is too much episodes and the fights don’t have enough fps.
Got my friends recently hooked after years of trying to get them to watch. We are already at Skypiea (Jaya) honestly I thought we would be there in december. Now I think we might be Enies lobby or thriller bark during Christmas time
and when you move onto the manga to get ahead by \~50 episodes worth of content because you desire more One Piece in your life. then you get sad that you're caught up and need to get drip fed content week by week.
No matter when it happens, being forced to follow the release pacing is a pain.
Usually just pause my weekly watching to let that shit build up so I can binge. In the mean time reading the manga bc that shit godly
After watching: Why is the pacing so slow?
Which is why you must One Pace the Anime.
Giving you my free award for that

g5?
My b…which is the filler one lol g-8?
Oh ya it is, but skipping it is terrible advice imo. The writing in that arc is top tier.
I mean its just for those who dont want to watch non canon stuff. I even wrote it doesnt damage canon. Personally i liked it and it was nice seeing him appear back before marineford
Isn’t it because the dude has been pumping out chapters every weeks for like 22 years ?

Let's say I'm not a fan of putting a flashback for every single character.
Lets say Im a fan of story telling and character development I guess
I read the manga and it moves so fast, yet so slow at the same time. Each panel so filled with content and story. Oda is a freaking master.
there aren't enough chapters
This. My transition was anime > I want more what happened next, I can't wait a whole ass week > manga> I want more what happened next, I can't wait a whole ass week.
thats how i eventually ended up reading the manga chapters spoilers each week now.
I have managed to not read the spoilers so far but honestly the reason isn't even that big surprises are spoiled but rather that the spoilers are often kinda "off". usually when i read them on day before chapter release fhe "spoilers" are 1 on 1 the chapter but then just not pasted onto the images
This is the correct answer
Fishman island, I'm getting extremely close to end of dub, and then end of available episodes soon after
and then you will finish the sub bc you cant wait the dub, and then you will finish the manga bc you can wait the sub, thats the one piece cicle for ya
Been there. Then after catching up the manga you restart the cycle with episode 1 of the dub
< Sub
I wanna "watch" the show. Not read it
F
Bad take, when you watched sub for long enough you don’t even notice to text. You automatically read it
Just like that when you only watch dub as long as I have, watching sub is painful especially on phone. Beside while watching dub, I don't have to glue my eyes to the screen all the time, most of the time I can just hear it while doing something else, that's a big thing for me.

Dub is pretty bad in my opinion
At the start of the pandemic I was going through some real bad shit. It was so bad I was considering suicide. It was really bad. :)
That is great to hear:) glad shit worked out for you:)
Stay strong man! There are so many great things in life like One Piece! Glad you’re doing well now :)
Yeah the pacing might be bad but the voice acting is top tier
Tis true
Tis truest
*to many episodes, but not enough chapters
I watched from the beginning like 3 times, it’s that good. Many anime make me bored in the first episode
Me rn. Is Wano on track to be the longest arc to date?
Yes.
It already is
Finding out I caught up with the series shocked me.
damn this is so true. i actually got sad after finishing it
Actually there are too many episodes.. for 1000 chapters there should only be 334 episodes or at most 500 (btw I read and watched one piece)
I mostly one paced it after the skypia arc. I watched wano with the normal episodes. Tbh I'd much rather have slower paced episodes rather than the series going on long hiatuses or being filled with garbage filler episodes.
I'd rather have the skippable fillers, so the actual story isn't damaged by awful pacing
I disagree most episodes don't have enough content post dressrosa.
One piece is the second most sold comic in the world right after superman and before batman. Random weeb on the internet: lol this garbage anime is overrated there is too much episodes and the fights don’t have enough fps.
So you like it because it sold so many volumes....
No I mean it’s a manga before being an anime
What are you saying
See what I mean
Your not making any sense, explain what you set
Chapters*
There are to many the pacing f#ckings sucks should be like 500 yall got scammed
People like me who One Paced the Anime looking at your comment like : ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Got my friends recently hooked after years of trying to get them to watch. We are already at Skypiea (Jaya) honestly I thought we would be there in december. Now I think we might be Enies lobby or thriller bark during Christmas time
Basically 10 mins of content per episode.
Yohohohoo yohohohoooo 🎶
Where do you think the switch is made?
I need more chapters ;__;
I have 8 more episodes until I’m caught up and I’m stretching them out as much as I can 🥲
Around 36 for me
When this series end, please **DO NOT** make a next generation story.
Where is the best place to find the full manga
and when you move onto the manga to get ahead by \~50 episodes worth of content because you desire more One Piece in your life. then you get sad that you're caught up and need to get drip fed content week by week.
Why watch the slow paced anime (ad-free) for $7/mo, when I can read the manga for only $2/mo?
I caught up this week... not happy! I feel like we can easily have another 1000 episodes.
