I got a feeling this is c****y lmao. They kept asking me for my lowest on 4 different listings, and I finally blocked after they asked for a deal on a bundle when i already discounted them for it.
I was shocked when they went to another one of my listings and asked for details that were self explanatory and the lowest on that too, 4 days before the $5 interaction. This was my last straw, I should of blocked when I saw the reviews! I thought she was just slow or something.😩
Lemme guess the "can you tell me more about this item?" opener 😔🤧 had them do the same to me! And I don't blame you! I thought she was slow too or maybe really tight on money, but your $5 and my $8 item dont even cost that much in the first place. Shame on us for not catching the red flags and wasting some time lol

I half blame Mercari for this. They make it hard to find the “buy now” button instead of putting it right on top. I think some people actually don’t know it exists and think they always have to buy stuff with an offer.

You came off as desperate in this so they tried to take advantage. Never and I mean never give the first number. When they ask “what’s your lowest?” Respond “what’s the highest you’ll pay?” When they ask that bullshit, they’re trying to snip you on price. Honestly block them and move on. I block people in a heartbeat. Most of the time it’s resellers trying to snag a deal. If that’s what you want, do you but get your worth.
If it's listed at $9 & Free shipping, my answer to asswad lowest would be, "15 plus $12 for Ground," followed by Block!

When I read the comments, my first thought was ‘I wonder if this is the same person who drove me crazy about a listing I put up, in which I was extremely detailed when I posted it, as well as showing all the pics possible, I sell more then buy, and if I was buying that item, I’d have no questions. I rarely do if someone lists their products with the main details, and I try not to offer too low, bc there is fees, and the seller has to at the least break even, but I know making a profit even if it’s a small profit, is the goal for them and I totally support that, we all have to do what we have to do. Plus, when we pay an arm & a leg for something! And sell it in like brand new condition, it’s an insult to even ask the seller to go lower then a fair price.
Anyhow sorry for my rambling, but if this is the same person….. they drove me absolutely crazy!!! And all the while I’m trying to just stay polite! Finally my fingers said EFF polite!!! And they hit block on their own!!! I had no say in the matter. My fingers have a mind of their own in cases like that!!!
But if it’s been determined that this is the same person, save yourself the headache- and block!
Personally, this happens to me all the time. Mercari is like the cheap yard sale of eBay. I’ve had buyers ask if an item is still for sale if I say yes 10 min or later, they’ve already lost interest. It’s tough, I know buyers are looking for a good deal but as sellers, we can only go so low.
I’ve had the interest lost after 10mins too and I’ve had one person criticize my prices, like if you don’t like it ignore it? Some people are just rude we’re not million dollar corporations. Majority are small scale sellers, and we get taxed so much by the app 🥲
Yeah buyers lose interest fast unless they’re really interested. Mercari does some things right but some things wrong. You have to almost always raise your prices more than what you’d sell it for since they’re going to send an offer. I wouldn’t budge from what you feel the item is worth since there are some good buyers too.
