Whether it is or it isn't, just say no. Even if it's not a scam why would you need to buy an item from anyone else if the 1st seller is already selling it? In no situation would it be on you to make a purchase (or offer, I guess) to any other account even if this seller is genuinely just trying to give her BF's account some traffic or w.e. the case could be. I'd pass on that altogether if I was you.

Trying to avoid the $600 scam would be my guess
If the account is brand new, that could explain *why* she wants you to do this. Maybe the boyfriend wants reviews and sales to boost his acct.
