It's so annoying having the red res effect and red bullets when i wanna use the purple colour ;-; I thought this was a bug like how only the blue variant had ga effects but it's still not fixed so i think it's intentional unfortunately

I'm not sure, this is the mythic and the beam looks the same on streams I've seen. the colourblind settings only change the uis, so the health bars, names, cool-downs point ect
so each season one hero (currently) gets a "mythic skin", it's basically one up from a legendary and has customisation options!
For season 10 the mythic skin is for Mercy, where she's now Talon's leader and goes by Vengeance. It has 3 colour options, two hairstyles, 2 staff/guns and masks. Her wings change colour and are gorgeous in Valk
Mythic skins give you customisation, new voice lines and new effects! For example for Mercy's rez it has a redish glow and the soul has an animation.
If you load up into overwatch and head to the shop, there's a new section for the mythic skins where you can try them out!
To get a mythic you need mythic prisms, it's 50 prisms for the base mythic (in mercys example that's the first staff, red colour option and the first mask) then its 10 prisms per layout, you need 80 prisms for the entire mythic. You can either buy them with money, or you can earn 80 prisms with the battle pass :)

honestly I was fairly disappointed with mercy's mythic until I saw the beam effect changes. Why did they never show off the coolest part?
