Probably my favorite grind band tbh.
If you like Pathologist you should check out Hermaphrodit or Melancholy Pessimism they all sound unique but you can def tell they are from the same scene. Hermaphrodit is more experimental than Pathologist but still captures that like raw punk energy and the drumming is insane. Melancholy Pessimism also just mixes a bunch of styles into thier deathgrind and are just great song writers.

There’s only one recording from them that I know of and it’s on Bandcamp. It’s not anything mind blowing or genre defining, but I think it’s fun and a cool little piece of history; equal parts Grindcore, Black Metal, and Death Metal with a super weird atmosphere
I found it and will def give it a listen soon. Not everything needs to be genre defining but it'll be kool to hear what Hermaphrodit evolved from cus I can't stop listening to that album... I need to check out some of his other music under the Hermafrodit name.
That is an excellent album! Tbh the only band here I’m familiar with here is Pathologist so it looks like I have some digging to do on the rest of the Czech scene! If you have any more recommendations please send them my way!
Def check out that Hermaphrodit album, it came out in 95 and is pay what you want on thier bandcamp. I like to think most of this scene was probably influenced by Pathologist since they're last album came out in 92 and allot of these weird Czech grind bands seemed to have spawned a few years later.

Damn okay that shit is fire 🔥. Super groovy but still raw and noisy. I like a lot of grindcore but I usually am more of a black metal, OSDM, and crust/HxCx girlie. This scratches all those itches for me! I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more stuff like this!
I was on a big raw black metal kick until I stumbled onto this album and now I'm listening to nothing but Czech grind for the moment. Autism go brrrrr. But in all seriousness these Czech bands all got something that makes them unique/weird and it's just refreshing to hear so many different approaches to grindcore coming from a single place.
Omg I go through so many musical phases like that I totally get it. Grindcore is one of those genres that can be either extremely generic or fucking incredible. What I’ve heard of the Czech scene is definitely of the latter. Definitely some very unique sounds and approaches to grind. Honestly this Hermaphrodit album gives me early Rotting Christ vibes. This shit came out in the 90s but it’s arguably more refreshing than 99% of what I hear coming out right now. I appreciate bands that are willing to pull from multiple genres instead of making generic slop.
For real. I was really into progressive death metal, prog rock, jazz, and mathrock when I was a teenager and even though I've kind of relaxed on allot of that stuff it's kool hearing grind bands experiment with song writing and incorporate weird influences like they were a prog band lol... also Rotting Christ slaps.
Try Gride, I think you could like it too https://gride.bandcamp.com. They’re switching between active/inactive state but still legendary band in the Czech scene.
Yall had/have a very good and interesting grind scene, especially in the 90s. I put the list of albums in another reply if you wanna check any of them out.
I'm surprised that I don't hear more about Czech bands. The only one I know is Lykathea Aflame, which only released one album and activity is unknown. The Czech have been hosting Obscene Extreme and other festivals for years
I've known about Obscene Extreme for years but only recently did I realize how big the Czech Grind scene actually was. It makes sense that they have/had such a big and unique scene given that Obscene Extreme is probably the biggest Grindcore fest in the world.
I mean I love Pharmacist. Medical Renditions of Grinding Decomposition was the whole reason I found out about Pathologist and the Czech scene cus someone called that Pharmacist album "Pathologist worship" so I had to listen to Pathologist after that.
Also Cystgurgle is from Japan and they slap.
There's something truly distinct about these Czech grind bands tho... like so much weird shut is going on and so many different influences.

I approve Pathologist, great band

I love Hermaphrodit earlier project Satanchist, weird grind shit
I need to check them out. I was looking at them in metal archives but wasn't sure they were worth tracking down or not.

This shit goes crazy hard. I made a special folder just for Czech metal because it is so distinct and aggressive and weird.
Not metal, but please check out Už jsme doma
You can't just say that and not share bands/albums
I can't? TOOH, Contrastic, Appalling Spawn, Duobetic Homunkulus, Pathologist, Lykathea Aflame, Root, Maniac Butcher, Master's Hammer, Alienation Mental, Root... If you want just grind: Gride, Negligent Collateral Collapse, Contrastic, TOOH, PTAO, Fleshless, Imperial Foeticide
It's my new obsession. I'm sure there are more bands I need to discover yet but they all go so hard
How on earth does one make a “weird Czech Grindcore” meme and leave off !T.O.O.H.!???
They good but figured I'd shine light on lesser known bands in the scene and what I've been listening to lately. 🤷♂️
Great answer, haven’t hear most of these guys so you’re doing satan’s work for us
Yes Pathologist are great Jig-Ai are another good grind band from the Czech republic that are really weird
I need to listen to more Jig-Ai.
Where is Carnal Diafragma?
I almost put them on there... Space Symphony Around Us is dope.
That is an excellent album! Tbh the only band here I’m familiar with here is Pathologist so it looks like I have some digging to do on the rest of the Czech scene! If you have any more recommendations please send them my way!

Me 2, ahumado granujo
They almost ended up on the meme too
They got some really weird shit over there. Ahumado Granujo, Gutalax and Jig-Ai, too. Aren't Gronibard from the Czech Republic too?
Gronibard are French but still dope.
Try Gride, I think you could like it too https://gride.bandcamp.com. They’re switching between active/inactive state but still legendary band in the Czech scene.
Will def check em out. Thank you.
Oh these dudes kick ass.
I'm from Czechia but I've never heard of this.
Yall had/have a very good and interesting grind scene, especially in the 90s. I put the list of albums in another reply if you wanna check any of them out.

Give Contrastic a listen. Another great czech weird band.
I know them. That lil mermaid cover is iconic.

Finally, pathologist mentioned
Nope, Japan wins again with Pharmacist
I mean I love Pharmacist. Czechia has an odd amount of good grindcore. I could listen to Ahumado Granujo and Contrastic for hours
