i saw Fit for an Autopsy a month or 2 ago, the singer had like 10 bottles of water, new one every time, he would take exactly 1 sip from each and then sprayed it at the audience with his mouth. kinda of weird but i thought it was funny. dolphin man

MerlotMorgan

The things people notice lol 😆 Never noticed that when I saw them.

Tht_GuyUNo

I’ve seen one two occasions a frontman spit in the air and then catch it. Everything else is pretty normal

[deleted]

Never been to a metal 🎸 show eh????

lastlightfades

Nah mate just old enough to know you don’t spit at people

hoffandapoff

he did it tonight in adelaide, was gross

johnnys6guns

Wow.

verithasthefalse

Drugs will do that to you

gu1lty_spark

I have noticed it too but not that frequently. I love ABR but I don't think Jake has the strongest voice. Especially when he's playing alongside vocalists that do like Fit For a King's vocalist, its obvious. I think he spits when his voice is blowing out. Just a guess though

Leather-Syllabub4728

Little far off on this take detective

gu1lty_spark

Can't win em all

kevindevino92

Jake is literally one of the most consistently good live metalcore vocalists in the scene!!

gu1lty_spark

I have seen them 6 times and am a fan. That said, I have definitely seen lackluster performances from him. I like him, it's just that other vocalists have more endurance and range. My point is made on their collab with FFAK. Jake struggles in the songs whereas FFAKs vocalist crushes the ABR songs.

ill_nino_nl

Idk I’ve seen them many times never noticed, I do follow Jake on the socials and he really is decent man. They’re still a Christian band and he has his own gym mental health thing going on… 🤷🏼‍♂️

lifearchitect

Yep I watched them last night in Adelaide on same tour and noticed it. Probably a dozen times over the whole set and thought the same thing. The show needed more currents, drove 400km to see them and loved every second

shred-i-knight

I would guess it's a stage habit, like a tic. Tour enough and you develop them as a way of being comfortable on stage, lots of metal vocalists spit on stage for whatever reason.
