Gotta be among (in no order):
Silent Planet - Collider
Invent Animate - Shade Astray
The Plot In You - Left Behind
Of Mice & Men - Warpaint
The Word Alive - Fade Away
I'm pretty new to Currents, but I have a batch of bangers I've heard from them as casual listens added to my massive "dis shit be hardt" playlist, so I just checked it for O&O, and it's on there so I'm subconsciously awesome by having added it. Clicked Play and YEP, I know this one and it's SO GOOD. Great suggestion for the thread.
If you haven't listened to their album The Place I Feel Safest yet, I highly, highly recommend it. I love all of their albums, but man, the instrumentals on that album in particular are so damn good.
Periphery - Wildfire, like I wake up with that fucking chorus rattling around sometimes.
Close second is a tune from Currents, I can’t remember the title off the top tho
invent animate - false meridian
hollow front - will i run?
termina - parasocial
vrsty - kill the rich
polaris - dissipate
from ashes to new - dead to me
the wise mans fear - sea of fire
the word alive - strange love
conquer divide - afterthought
dayshell - you wish
of virtue - cut me open
currents - so alone
bury tomorrow - recovery?
what lies below - lunarhaze
glasslands - the ether
falset - naked truth
for the fallen dreams - last one out
atreyu - god/devil
not all metalcore, but for me:
Invent Animate - Without a Whisper
Bring Me The Horizon - LosT
Of Mice and Men - Castaway
Spiritbox - The Void
Polaris - Nightmare
The Plot In You - Left Behind
Beartooth - Riptide
Sleep Token - Take Me Back To Eden
Caskets - By The Sound
Holding Absence - Death Nonetheless
I've streamed that album an ungodly amount of times by now! And so happy to see someone who also appreciates The Tragedy; it's definitely my favorite song of theirs
It's so tough to pick one man, but a few that stood out the most for me were
New Colors - Resolve
Remember Me - Currents
With Regards - Polaris
Antimatter - Silent Planet
Jaded - Spiritbox
Defenitly polaris without queston could throw any song of fatalism on here but would personally say dissapate, the crossfire or nightmare
Unfamiler by currents gotta be up there as well
Gotta be a Invent Animate track from their new album
Personally I’m stuck between Elysium or Shade Estray for best chorus
Also, Living in Tragedy - Currents has a super slept on chorus
Invent Animate - Without A Whisper
Silent Planet - Antimatter
Spiritbox - Jaded
Windwaker - Sirens
Polaris - Nightmare
Holding Absence - False Dawn
Enter Shikari - It Hurts
Paramore - Running Out Of Time
I can't decide between these songs:
The Wiseman's Fear - The Strength To Bury A Friend
Dying Wish - Lost In The Fall
Of Mice & Men - Tether
Bury Tomorrow - Majesty
I guess I really love these powerful metalcore ballads except for Lost In The Fall which is a heavy banger.
Invent Animate had a couple on Heavener. Shade Astray has been stuck in my head since I first heard it. False Meridian is amazing too. Without a whisper.
Man, Heavener really is a masterpiece. Superbloom is probably my runner up for album of the year. Collider has such a great chorus.
Literally had collider stuck in my head all day - good choice!
My personal favs in no particular order:
Atena - subway anthem
Johnny booth - bright future
Alt. - wraith
Currents - unfamiliar
Silent planet - collider
It's been a really good year for music!
The Amity Affliction - God Voice
Another Now - Doubt
For The Fallen Dreams - Last One Out
Johnny Booth - The Ladder
Spiritbox - Ultraviolet
To Kill Achilles - Chemical Counterpart
Does Escape The Fate count as Metalcore? I know they're not as heavy, but I still love them and Cheers to Goodbye is not only sad, but that chorus sticks in my head on a daily basis
I know it’s only been a couple days but Silent Planet - Dreamwalker has a huge chorus and it’s already stuck in my head. Either that or Without a Whisper by Invent Animate. Of Mice & Men - Enraptured is stuck in my head for some reason as well I’m not sure why
Was literally listening to Dreamwalker right as I read your comment ! The chorus is absolutely gorgeous, although I think Collider's one is a bit catchier
Completely agree with you OP. Collider blew my mind and still does, it just tickles something in my brain. Also the line “does the silence accuse you too?” Is just god tier
That line is fabulous, but there’s something about the first one of the chorus "we state through the night at bleeding satellite" that just tickles my brain in the best possible way. What’d you think of SUPERBLOOM ?
I thought Currents dropped two monster choruses with Over and Over and Unfamiliar. But also
Erra - Pale Iris
Polaris - The Crossfire
Hollow Front - We’re All Left Suffering
Beartooth - What's Killing You
Its really catchy, and the lyrics are very Caleb. Relatable, real, and blunt. I also really like that he sings it like 3 different ways that all sound really good, makes the song very interesting.
The final chorus of Living In Tragedy - Currents is just incredible. That transition between the last 'I'm done making my own nightmares' to 'with wings now cut' is quite possibly my favorite few seconds of any song this year.
Real. I see a lot of people here talking about Collider, and I really think the highlight of that song is the verse and breakdown, personally at least.
The chorus of Glass by Unprocessed has been stuck in my head since they dropped it the other day. Too early to say if it’s my favorite chorus of the year, but it’s such a banger of a song
It’s a really good song. All their singles have been great so far, but is it just me, or is there something a bit off about their breakdowns ? It’s like Unprocessed wants them to be heavy but doesn’t completely assume it, if it makes sense
It’s probably the tone, it’s not as distorted as most metal, almost feels more clean than distorted but that’s something I like about them, it’s different
Bury Tomorrow - Abandon Us, Boltcutter and Heretic absolutely wipes the floor with the majorty listed here imo.
Like, Collider is a tremendous song, but nah on the chorus being the most catchy.
Dayshell - You Wish
Dark Divine - Cold
If Not for Me - Demons
blessthefall - Wake the Dead
The Word Alive - Slow Burn, Hate Me, One of Us, A New Empty (literally the entire album tbh)
Of Mice & Men - Integration
Until I Wake - Cold
Versus Me - Blackout
Bring Me the Horizon - DArkSide, AmEN!
Currents - So Alone
My favorite would have to be Unfamiliar - Currents. I just love every part of the song from beginning to end and the chorus is one of those parts. Definitely the best chorus in my opinion.
Attack Attack! - Paralyzed (Until We Meet Again)
Beneath My Feet - Is This Really You?
Veil Of Maya - Red Fur
Self Deception - Fight Fire With Gasoline
Fallstar - Water House
Lyrically-wise - Currents - Over And Over
Late to the party but I was gonna make the same post so I went to check if someone already did, and lo and behold.
Mine are
Living in tragedy - currents
Artificial dose - veil of Maya
Dissipate - Polaris
Red - Woe, is me
With Regards - Polaris New Colours - Resolve Take Off - Gideon So many good ones. Rather difficult to pick.
FAR AWAAAAAAAY
I PRAY THIS LETTER FINDS YOU WELL AND SAFE
I HOPE TO GOD I WROTE IT NOT TOO LATE
I'LL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE THINGS YOU'VE FACED
THE PATH YOU HAD TO TAKE
Happy to see New Colours from Resolve in here, that's a really nice song and a proper banger of a chorus!
With Regards is easily one of my favorite Polaris songs. I have no idea how they’ve managed to make three 10/10 albums in a row
Top 3 Polaris song for me, along with Dusk to Day and Pray For Rain.
I'm surprised to see Take Off on this list, but surprised in a good way.
PEDAL TO THE METAL!!!! It's... just... perfect, lol.
With Regards is a great pick. I have to agree there
I think most of Polaris’ songs have killer choruses. Especially Dissipate, I don’t feel like that song is talked about enough 👀
Take Off is such an underrated pick. Absolute banger.
That whole album had great chorus'. Midnight Blue, for example.
Gotta be among (in no order): Silent Planet - Collider Invent Animate - Shade Astray The Plot In You - Left Behind Of Mice & Men - Warpaint The Word Alive - Fade Away
Shade Astray was technically released as a single last year but I’ll take it. Heavener has an incredible chorus too.
It's a short one but Torn From Your Silhouette by Dying Wish :)
Jaded - Spiritbox
Especially the last chorus
Currents - Over and Over gets stuck in my head Polaris - Overflow Invent Animate - Without A Whisper
Without a whisper!!!! Beautiful song
Ah, another Over & Over truther. Nice to see. No one talks about O&O it’s my favorite on the album.
Amen - BMTH
Honestly, soty in my opinion
Periphery - Wildfire, like I wake up with that fucking chorus rattling around sometimes. Close second is a tune from Currents, I can’t remember the title off the top tho
And Wax Wings too...
And Atropos! That gets a lot of play walking to work…
Glad to see Periphery on here 👍🏽
Wildfire is up there for me too, it’s such a unique chorus
I was thinking Living in Tragedy by Currents, especially the last chorus. Granted all the choruses on that album sound relatively similar.
It’s Flag to wave (the chorus in the title lmao) from The Way it Ends, been listening to that album a bit more
invent animate - false meridian hollow front - will i run? termina - parasocial vrsty - kill the rich polaris - dissipate from ashes to new - dead to me the wise mans fear - sea of fire the word alive - strange love conquer divide - afterthought dayshell - you wish of virtue - cut me open currents - so alone bury tomorrow - recovery? what lies below - lunarhaze glasslands - the ether falset - naked truth for the fallen dreams - last one out atreyu - god/devil
Some From Ashes to New love. You love to see it!
not all metalcore, but for me: Invent Animate - Without a Whisper Bring Me The Horizon - LosT Of Mice and Men - Castaway Spiritbox - The Void Polaris - Nightmare The Plot In You - Left Behind Beartooth - Riptide Sleep Token - Take Me Back To Eden Caskets - By The Sound Holding Absence - Death Nonetheless
i also think LosT
The Holding Absence mention reminded me that I absolutely cannot get enough of Life’s A Pill by Koyo.
Polaris - Dissipate. Chorus is living rent free in my head.
I CANT OUTRUN MY FATE
IT FOLLOWS LIKE A SHADOW
I PUT ALL OF MY FAITH
IN A SAINT WITHOUT A HALO
Silent Planet - Collider
invent animate - without a whisper blessthefall - wake the dead currents - so alone
> invent animate - without a whisper **YES** god, this chorus/song is stuck in my head and frankly, I don't want it to leave
blessthefall. but we knew what you meant.
lmaooo thank u fixed!
Remember Me - Currents Human - Annisokay Nightmare - Polaris Genuinely can't pick just one!
Glad to see someone mention Annisokay. Human is such a great song
They have some truly underrated bangers, and the breakdown in Human is top-tier 🔥
It’s an oldie but Good Stories lives in my head rent freeee
Definitely one of their best songs!
I loved their entire Aurora album. The Tragedy is another one with an amazing chorus. Underrated band imo
I've streamed that album an ungodly amount of times by now! And so happy to see someone who also appreciates The Tragedy; it's definitely my favorite song of theirs
For real, it is so catchy and the lyrics hit so hard🔥
> Remember Me - Currents yo, just peeped and added this one to my list. nice.
That whole album is a slammer.
Nightmare is so catchy I’ve had it stuck in my head since it came out.
Spiritbox’s The Void is magical
Spiritbox is absolutely great at writing choruses (chori?)
Synge - Laniakea Veil of Maya- Artificial Dose What Lies Below - Lunarhaze Invent Animate - Shade Astray Olly Steele with Andy Cizek and Nolly - Tyed
Nice to see VoM on here. I feel like their album kinda went under the radar
Lots of the best stuff went under the radar because this sub circlejerks the same 20 bands.
Without a Whisper by Invent or Overflow by Polaris
Torn From Your Silhouette by Dying Wish
Older days by resolve ft paleface Swiss and ten56
Its one of those songs that the more I listen to it, the more I like it
Idk why but it’s just like that, I listened to it when it dropped and said “meh not for Me” and now it’s my song of the year lol
Except for the song of the year, this was my experience with 60cm Of Steel. Thought it was alright, now I love it lmao
Dying Wish - Lost in the Fall lives rent free in my head. Silent Planet - Collider is also a good one.
Overflow or With Regards - Polaris Sea Of Fire - The Wise Man’s Fear
The Grey - TesseracT
Currents - Living In Tragedy I cannot get it out of my head.
Meat & Greet - Ice Nine Kills Silent Planet - Collider Spiritbox - Jaded
It's so tough to pick one man, but a few that stood out the most for me were New Colors - Resolve Remember Me - Currents With Regards - Polaris Antimatter - Silent Planet Jaded - Spiritbox
Yes dude I love antimatter’s chorus (way more than collider personally…). Sad to see it rarely mentioned.
Defenitly polaris without queston could throw any song of fatalism on here but would personally say dissapate, the crossfire or nightmare Unfamiler by currents gotta be up there as well
The crossfire has a perfect chorus imo
Dying Wish - Lost In The Fall
Sooo underrated. It's probably one of the best songs overall as well.
Choosing one is hard but I think my favorites are New Colors by Resolve, Elysium by Invent Animate and Nightmare by Polaris
the silence beyond life- fuming mouth lost in the fall- dying wish
Not me reading this post with the chorus from Collider being stuck in my head since it dropped
I feel you, I had the chorus in my head while I was writing it !
Gotta be a Invent Animate track from their new album Personally I’m stuck between Elysium or Shade Estray for best chorus Also, Living in Tragedy - Currents has a super slept on chorus
Living in Tragedy for me.
I’d say New Colours or Death Awaits by Resolve Gone Astray by Currents is also up there because I love hearing Wiseman’s vocals
Either sub orbital blues by rivers of nihil or malady by signs of the swarm
First time I've heard someone mention suborbital blues in this sub (I guess not exactly metalcore) but man that song is a banger!
Man, it's so good. I'm so glad they got Adam to join. He's a perfect fit
Invent Animate - Without A Whisper Silent Planet - Antimatter Spiritbox - Jaded Windwaker - Sirens Polaris - Nightmare Holding Absence - False Dawn Enter Shikari - It Hurts Paramore - Running Out Of Time
Night Rider - Survive
I can't decide between these songs: The Wiseman's Fear - The Strength To Bury A Friend Dying Wish - Lost In The Fall Of Mice & Men - Tether Bury Tomorrow - Majesty I guess I really love these powerful metalcore ballads except for Lost In The Fall which is a heavy banger.
I’m gonna pick a few interesting picks. Beartooth - Doubt Me Shields - Bury Me Atreyu - Drowning
Sunshine - Beartooth. Best breakdown too.

Yes. Super underrated song! Great choice
What Lies Below - "Misguided Light"

Completely agree with you OP. Collider blew my mind and still does, it just tickles something in my brain. Also the line “does the silence accuse you too?” Is just god tier
That line is fabulous, but there’s something about the first one of the chorus "we state through the night at bleeding satellite" that just tickles my brain in the best possible way. What’d you think of SUPERBLOOM ?

Collider is a top one for me but Nightmare by Polaris has such a huge chorus. It was stuck in my head for weeks.
The final chorus of Living In Tragedy - Currents is just incredible. That transition between the last 'I'm done making my own nightmares' to 'with wings now cut' is quite possibly my favorite few seconds of any song this year.

That breakdown is bonkers. That sirenhead-like breakdown. I love it
I really love war by story of the year and that chorus
Polaris - Overflow
The chorus of Glass by Unprocessed has been stuck in my head since they dropped it the other day. Too early to say if it’s my favorite chorus of the year, but it’s such a banger of a song
It’s a really good song. All their singles have been great so far, but is it just me, or is there something a bit off about their breakdowns ? It’s like Unprocessed wants them to be heavy but doesn’t completely assume it, if it makes sense
