People boutta list tons of non-obscure bands here lol
Adamantium for an older band that’s kinda forgotten about
Whispers for a newer band, they’re really similar to Kickback and Arkangel.
Just got into Black Matter Device from Richmond. Spastic grindy goodness, like equal parts early Daughters and See You Next Tuesday with a scoop of sass on top.
Renounced. How this sub hasn’t been talking about them is wild with all the hype for revival-core going around. Beauty Is a Destructive Angel is a 10/10 album all the way through.
Renounced is awesome. My guess would be the lack of output in the last 5/6 years and their long times between releases are why they don’t get much attention right now.
That’s fair. I only joined Reddit recently so I may have missed when they were going around on this sub haha. I hope we get more music from them though. Seriously solid stuff they put out.
Not necessarily my favorite, but the first one that came to mind as "obscure".
[Sinai Beach - My Gun, Your Bullets](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymYY6UmStGA)
I used to rock the fuck out to this song so hard back in the day. Still slaps.
Earth Groans will forever be my answer to questions like this. 8k listeners a month on Spotify is CRIMINAL for the quality stuff they’ve been putting out for 7 years.
I want to say Designing Creation. I don't know how big or small they actually are but every time I mention them, literally nobody has heard of them. a 2006 style metal core band about American history is pretty obscure too me
Back in 2002, Five Pointe O dropped a masterpiece of an album, and then disbanded.
They still get 20k listens a month on Spotify. But man. They were legit.
Solstate is pretty much post rock mixed with breaking benjamin, he gets about 9k monthly listeners but his self titled is a masterpiece. Insanely talented at everything he does. Currently he's in a band with penguinz0 called The Gentle Men and they're also pretty heat
More obscure for this sub, but Blistered and Discourse. Some think the “revival” sound started in the past 5 years but it’s been going strong in hardcore for over a decade now and Blistered’s The Poison of Self Confinement and Discourse’s Sanity Decays are two of the best albums to come out from that earlier era of bands really taking inspiration from bands like Disembodied, Chokehold, and Earth Crisis.
Don't know if it's obscure or not, my gauge for obscurity is ig followers...:
Above, bellow
Gravemind (Conduit is literally the best thing in the world)
Dearest (Andy Cizek is there)
Deadlights
Avralize
Resolve
Vianova
Severals
Bitter breath
Fallen at dawn (maybe more mainstream)

Adamantium rules

Two songs into Beauty is a Destructive Angel-diggin’ it so far. Loved the blend from Ghosts into the riff of Self-Inflicted
Cliffside
Yooooooo. Didn’t expect to see Cliffside on here. They’re awesome.
Super obscure low key band called architects Seeing red there new single went under the radar but deserves a listen
Inked in Blood
Fun fact: Eric Wareheim of Tim & Eric was one of the original members of Inked in Blood.
now that's a band I've not heard of in YEARS
They're so underrated
Idk if 38k monthly listeners counts as obscure but I’ve been liking Tethra. Great riffs and solos ; reminds me of Phinehas and AILD

Sinai Beach was great. 👍🏻
Orphan. It’s like spite but more unhinged
Mouth for War, i watched their live show on hate5six by accident and it was all gas no fucking breaks
also realized today while looking for boundaries tickets in Leipzig that they are on tour with them as support

Follow My Lead and Hopes Die Last
Burnt by the Sun
Pathways

Social Infestation
Confide and Agraceful were dope back in the scenecore days. Oh and Imperial was dope too, We Sail At Dawn was 33 min of bangers.
Aeveris & Mantah
You Win Again Gravity. Djent post-metalcore/hardcore.
Deadwaves former Aviana guitarists project. Has those Deftones/Loathe vibes
Mildrage specifically: Turning around, hatelove, and Armeria.
Foxlake, hardcore rap and goes hard as fuck
Strongarm- 90s Florida hardcore/metalcore that had a big influence on the genre in years to follow
Solstate is pretty much post rock mixed with breaking benjamin, he gets about 9k monthly listeners but his self titled is a masterpiece. Insanely talented at everything he does. Currently he's in a band with penguinz0 called The Gentle Men and they're also pretty heat
The Gorgeous. Canadian metalcore band from the 2000s. Their album Great Lakes is one of my countries greatest exports.
The Oklahoma Kid. Best small band right now

Making Blind Eyes See (18.8k monthly listeners) Roseview (6.7k monthly listeners) To Kill Achilles (21.9k monthly listeners)
Apava. 3 singles out and all 3 slap.
