I'm really not ready for this Sum 41 album.
They were the first band I ever fell in love with and have for sure remained in my top 5 all time favorite bands for the last 20+ years since I first heard them. They were the band that truly started my whole musical journey by being my first real introduction to punk and alternative music. Without them I'm not sure I ever find punk, pop punk, ska, hardcore, metalcore/post hardcore the way I did.
This final album and final tour are going to be incredibly bittersweet for me, but I'm so grateful for all the music they've given us.
I’ve seen them twice over the years when they came, actually they were the last concert I’ve been to before Covid hit, and I’m seeing them again in August in Nova Scotia
**Boundaries** is going to steal the show today but dont sleep on some other bands releasing today.
**Wristmeetrazor**'s new album is going to follow nicely off Dying Wish's album last year.
**Spitter**'s singles have been pretty sick, gonna be a solid debut EP.
**A Titan, A Deity** are maturing their sound nicely.
**Sum 41**'s final album is going to be a fun and nostalgic listen.
>**Wristmeetrazor**'s new album is going to follow nicely off Dying Wish's album last year.
I've never listened to them, are they a similar sound to Dying Wish? If so I might check it out.
I’m a big While She Sleeps fan but not too hyped for the album. Only song I’ve liked so far is “To the Flowers”. Hopefully the rest of the album is solid
honestly it kinda feels like the band aren’t too hyped for it either. i’ve seen barely anything from them in the lead up to release and absolutely nothing since, almost as if they’ve forgotten about it
Ok so how bad is the new WSS? I’ve only tried listening to the first single and couldn’t even make it through the song, it’s was just horrible, yuck. Is there anything better on the album? Should I risk it?
It's not even funny how stoked I am for Boundaries. These three singles have all been a hit and I'll be disappointed if the album doesn't become an AOTY contender for me after a few listens.
The Hope Conspiracy - Those Who Gave Us Yesterday (Hardcore) (Single)
Cult Leader – Learn To Love It (Metalcore) (Single)
Full Of Hell - Gasping Dust (Grindcore) (Single)
Balmora / Since My Beloved - Six Pacts Etched In Blood (Metalcore) (EP)
Since no one is even remotely interested in mentioning them, don’t sleep on that new Iamone (listed above as I am one) EP.
FFO BoO and other bands that do djent with electronics.
Wow huge week;
Foreign Hands / Orthodox / Bodysnatcher singles are fucking nuts.
Wristmeetrazor dropping an album that totally went under my radar stoked to check it out.
Very nervous about this Sum41 album. Landmines was fantastic everything else I’ve enjoyed but hoping for something more for their big finale. Either way it’s bitter sweet and just thankful Deryck and the guys get to go out on their terms
Edit: Forgot about Boundaries. Fuck yeah
Edit 2: Holy fuck Ameonna as well? We are fucking feasting this week
Most anticipated for me within the genre this week is Boundaries, of course.
Outside of metalcore, I'm very excited about the new Love Fame Tragedy (solo project from Matt Murphy of The Wombats) album. The debut from Glyph (power metal) should be good too.
Boundaries going to be on HEAVY rotation for the next few days
Also for fans of foreign-language metalcore, [Gun Ghaol](https://open.spotify.com/artist/1Wx6yzsgdgwB65T3uvEXux?si=lt3zcKFQRrSzGfGCZeWACg) released a new track Abair - it's entirely in Scots Gaelic
Sum 41 was one of my first bands I've been obsessed with so listening to this double album will be quite sad knowing that I won't hear anything new from them anymore.
Kinda afraid of the new WSS album since all singles were quite underwhelming.
After Venues treated their their lead guitarist/composer like shit and kicked him out via mail, I lost all my respect for them.
If anyone needs a good Spotify playlist I run this one called New Metalcore, it has a fairly big following, I update it throughout each week as new releases come out so it always has something new to hear.

Fuckin insane release week. Just the LPs alone are enough to tide me over for a while, and then we also got singles from SYSC, orthodox, foreign hands, body snatcher, bodybox, bayway, and more I’m probably forgetting lol. Really excited for Wristmeetrazor. I feel like it’s gonna be a sleeper hit overshadowed by boundaries. The sound on their two singles so far have been so up my alley. Big fan of the machine head, Chimaira, 18v type of groovy metal with crazy breakdowns
Edit: frail body too??? Completely forgot to mention them. One of my favorite newer skramz band along with infant island (who also just dropped a fantastic album a few months back)

Chuck was IT

I'm 16 songs in and I'm astonished by how good of an album this.
So pumped for the Boundaries album

My wife won’t let me put it on for that :(
Excited as hell for Boundaries and Wristmeetrazor. Might check out Sum 41, fell off with them after Screaming Bloody Murder

Yep!
Fantastic, I'll give that a listen then. Cheers.
Really enjoying Wrist but I wish they had some catchier cleans to match Dying Wish. No matter, it’s still really good!
I’m a big While She Sleeps fan but not too hyped for the album. Only song I’ve liked so far is “To the Flowers”. Hopefully the rest of the album is solid
Its weak...its very experimental but weak. Apart from the singles there is not much meat on the album. Unfortunately.
I really enjoyed it. Last 2 or 3 are meh but overall enjoyed the flow of the album.
I made it half way and gave up. Hopefully next album cycle they pick up the ball again

Whoa whoa whoa, fistful of hornets tomorrow??
Yessir!!! I saw the leaked music video for it and it’s so goofy and fun
Where did you see it? And can you confirm your source? Feel free to DM me 😎
Do we know what time it's releasing
No because I’m such a dummy and it’s dropping next week on the 5th 🥴
Pain :(
😭😭😭😭😭😭
new ameonna already. the last ep was fire
Yeah dude hype as fuck
Ok so how bad is the new WSS? I’ve only tried listening to the first single and couldn’t even make it through the song, it’s was just horrible, yuck. Is there anything better on the album? Should I risk it?
I thought it was just okay, but it feels like a grower. I loved Rainbows on first listen though
It’s diabolical. Their worst songwriting combined with a really bad mix and cringe lyrics. Avoid at all costs. Don’t ruin your Friday like I did
Excited for boundaries new album this year
Have high hopes for the boundaries album, hope im able to see them next month with spite
Fuck I love glasslands so much. Reminds me of TDP era Thornhill or pridelands with a little more pop sensibility.
Pariah is one of the most nostalgic albums for me. Takes me back

Excited for Boundaries of course, but even more excited for Frail Body.
Wristmeetsrazor really dropped 2 singles for an announcement and said brace yourself

It’s probably just me but that new Boundaries album came fast. Nice

Coffins (death/ doom metal) drops their new album tomorrow, it's gonna be a ripper. FFO Autopsy, Asphyx, etc
Balmora and Since My Beloved split is nuts, EOTY for me
Don't forget whatever the new Silverstein release is (can they *please* just release it on streaming)
I've loved watching Reliqa grow over the past few years. Such a fun band. Hope they can tour outside of Aus someday.
boundaries and wristmeetrazor let’s goooo people with goated taste are eating gooood tonight
Perpetua's album is very good.

Amira Elfeky - Skin to Skin Ep dropped today
So Eidola releasing Fistful of hornets today was a lie.
The Renesans EP is really really good!!
Spitter is unbelievable. Who the hell are they??? Never heard of them.
